If you like disk golf I have one basket in the meadow so bring your disks! 💾 Camp grasshopper is more situated for tent camping although a small camper can fit it is not level in areas. I recently rocked the parking area so there is a level place to park. Cooper Creek reservoir is nearby and the Umpqua river.Less then two miles away from historic Oakland Oregon. Wineries near by. The Umpqua Valley Wineries are located in the best climate area of the US Pacific NorthWest.

Great little spot.
Easy to find-even late at night! I didn’t hear any highway noise at all. Just lots of crickets in a backdrop of a star filled sky. Had a hand washing area, port a pot and even had some night lights out so we could see where everything was since we pulled in so late.
Good place to camp, close to the Umpqua river and shops for some sweet water activities and basic necessities. Also appreciated that the camping spot had plenty of trees to hang multiple hammocks up and had the basic necessities that we all needed (Porta potty, table, trash). No running water however if you just bring a large jug or two, you’ll be fine. Also, the slant of the hill you camp on is strange at first, but you get used to it haha. Overall a good experience! Thanks Erik, you rock :)
Close to the freeway and convenient
We stayed here as a last minute booking with some friends because there wasn't any camping spots available where we wanted to go. However, it turned out to be a good home base for us. We spent most of our time hiking to waterfalls along highway 138 and swimming in the river and came back to the site later in the evening for dinners and to sleep.
When we got there the grass and weeds were quite tall at the site and Erik (the host) came out and weed whacked them down and got the porter potty cleaned for us. He also gave us some good swimming and winery recommendations. That was very nice of him.
The site is sloped but it didn't bother us too much as we were not spending at lot of time there. The noise from the freeway can get loud at night but we were all heavy sleepers or had ear plugs so it didn't bother us.
Easy to find spot just off the 5. Not far off the road, so it felt safe but still rural and peaceful. It wasn't 100% level for our Sprinter van, but we used a few leveling blocks and it was fine. We enjoyed sitting out in the campsite and looking at the stars. The picnic table and porta potty were convenient. Great spot to stop for the night!
