THE CAMPGROUND IS REGISTERED WITH MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHORT TERM RENTALS LICENSE # STR25-00075. The campground is situated in the wooded area on the back of 27 acre horse farm which is known as "The Stables at Mezza Luna." There is Wi-Fi to all the sites. Every year in the spring there are 4-6 Thoroughbred foals born that eventually will become racehorses. They live on the farm until they are 2 years old and then they go off to begin their racing career. In the daytime, when you are not sitting around your campfire, you can walk the fence lines and visit with the Mares and Foals or just watch them frolic in the fields. Hint! "They love peppermints, carrots and apples." Who knows, you might get to meet a future Kentucky Derby winner. Nearby attractions include: BLACK HILLS REGIONAL PARK (15 minutes) for boating, hiking or biking Vineyard 61 (5 minutes) Stone Silo Brewery (5 Minutes) Leechwood Haunted Forest (5 Minutes) October weekends only There are also chickens and peacocks that are very anxious to receive your love and affection with any type of treat such as raisins. There also is a playground with swings, monkey bars, seesaw and trampoline. There is a dumpster in front of the barn for you to place your trash. We are located right off of Highway 32 down a long, private paved driveway. What makes our property unique is all that it has to offer--it's an 18 acre oasis with mature woods protected by a conservation deed, lightly rolling hills, beautiful fields, wetlands, and a pond. It is not surprising to see deer and our local great blue heron on the property throughout the day. There is also a fire pit, which you are free to use. Firewood is free, though it may get wet when it rains.

From the flat land at the bottom to the top of the mountain, this is a place where you can find a spot to sit and think, draw, paint, nap, or identify over 30 medicinal plants in their natural habitats (absolutely NO harvesting of medicinals or wildflowers!). Listen to the many birds, spot the wildflowers. Some areas are accessible by wheelchair, while others are not, but all areas offer something to sustain your spirit. If you feel the need to explore the area, you are within walking distance of NotaViva Farm Brewery and Winery, 15 dirt road minutes from the new Sweet Run State Park one direction and Breaux Vineyard in the other direction. The Appalachian Trail is just over the top of the mountain and Harpers Ferry National Park is down the road and over the Shenandoah River. We might be a teeny bit biased, but we think this is area of northwest Loudoun County, VA is one of the loveliest places in the world.

No presents for me or other campers, thank you. 45-acre Historic farm, several sites to choose from depending on adventure wanderlust (including a 4WD drive site). Located on private gravel lane, approximately 1/2 mile off county road. Either corn or soybeans with a woods backdrop. Secluded and private, yet 25 minutes to downtown Annapolis, 10 minutes to the Bay, great for cycling, paddleboarding, kayaking all 10/15 minutes from farm. DC 45 minutes, Baltimore 1 hour. Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach. Check out individual sites for description, each has its own personality. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. First listing actually has several options. For large campers/coach/fifth wheelers the area by the tractor shed will be the best. Around the corner there's two other choices both with firepits which will accommodate units up to 40 feet depending on your backing/maneuvering skills. Field of Dreams and Sycamore Ridge will accommodate campers under 25 feet with some backing/maneuvering skills. For those with 4WD and an off-road camper/trailer/tent choose Off the Grid, two entrances for easy access, travel along a logging road to an open site with fire pit. Suitable during dry conditions and not responsible for damage to vehicle or camper. Great spot for those who truly want to be in the woods off the beaten path, site takes about 5 minutes to reach due to low-speed access.

Heads up, you will need a truck or SUV with clearance. The site is down a road into the woods. You will be secluded. The only thing you will see is trees surrounding you. So in other words… perfection. The site is a nice open area that comes with a monster fire pit and huge sitting log to chill on. The trees around you are tall, but healthy. I felt secure about them. It was windy when I went and I had no problems. 👍🏻 If you’re looking for SOLITUDE, you came to the right place. I would recommend and plan to return in the future. 💯💯💯💯

Camp Comus was a wonderful stay near Sugarloaf Mountain and a cozy place to stay after a day of hiking. The grounds were beautiful, the animals were friendly and they provided ample firewood. The farmhands on the property were nice and really helpful. Additionally, the barn house which housed the bathroom and shower was accessible throughout the night and easy to find (even in the dark). 10/10 property. Easily one of my favorite Hip Camps.

Great directions(dont use the Hipcamp link like we did , use actual address!) West was a great host. He had water and firewood, waiting for us at the campsite when we arrived.. He also offered us fresh eggs! Beautiful location! Loved watching the goats graze in the field, and we visited the many variety of fowl and the emus were fun to visit! Perfect spot to visit nearby attractions, such as Antietum and Harper’s ferry. Highly recommend!! Thanks West!!

This was a nice place to act as our base of operations for a series of four day trips into Washington DC and back. The site was nice and level with easy access to the water, sewer, and electric. 50 amps is always a bonus. The horses were nice to see grazing in their paddocks and waking up to the roosters was a nice flash back to when we used to raise our own livestock. If we were to head back to the area, this would be a definite place to stay over.

My kids and I LOVED Kim’s farm! It was an idyllic setting with great views of the hills and horses, the peaceful sound of the creek, and just enough shade to keep from burning in the sun. T6 site was the perfect size for my suv and travel trailer, and the amenities made camping with kids so much easier. Weekend Trip to Willows Farm

Beautiful rural views with a great mix of woods and open green pastures. It felt very private and peaceful. The family was super friendly and welcoming, and it was nice hearing about their livestock and life there. Would definitely go back.
