The area and property is perfect for hiking, horseback riding, small retreats, family gatherings all the while enjoying nature at its purest. We offer a Weber grill and large fire pit and outdoor picnic table with umbrella. You can either sleep in the barn, down in the clean stalls, or up in the barn loft. Bring supplies as if you are camping ie bedding, hammock, tent, sleeping pad or inflatable mattress. There is a long wooden table up in the barn loft that seats 14. There are games up there too, (dominos, cards, trivial pursuit etc). You may also camp outside under the starry skies. No loud music. Noise off by 10.30pm please We provide a VERY clean porta potty and the barn has electricity and running (cold) water. Bring a solar portable shower should you need.

Follow us on Instagram @shitefootfarms As always we are excited and can't wait to share our place with you! We are a small farmette with goats, chickens, ducks, fruits, veggies, and Irish Wolfhounds. The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! This property has been in my family for three generations. It is classic Connecticut with hills and streams and stone walls. The octagon is a private 122 ft.² that is electrified and heated. It has a full size bed, cabinet and table with chairs. It sits next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, small waterfall, marsh and 2 1/2 miles of hiking trails. There is a fire pit and outdoor dining area next to the octagon. We also have a propane outdoor grill and propane two burner camp stove. Out house with composting toilet close to octagon is heated. A great place to rejuvenate in the forest! Dogs welcome.

Once written about by Henry David Thoreau in Walden. He called it one of the "emerald eyes of the world" . A magical place yet so close to Boston. Learn more about this land: You can enjoy glamping in our greenhouse-tent for peace and tranquility. There is a cabin built inside the tent.  It is under a canopy of trees with a cool pond breeze prevailing. The bed and linens are first rate for a very comfortable stay. There are shelves, potable water and a table within. It is heated in the cool temps and fan cooled in the warmer days.  There is a kayak and paddleboard available to borrow. There is a dryflush toilet, hand sink and outdoor heated shower in the back of the tent. Cooking is on charcoal grill and toaster oven. There are dishes, cups and utensils for your use. as well as coffee press and hot water boiler. The 40 acre pond is 65 feet deep. It is a kettle pond which is spring fed with no river inlets to pollute it.  Access is a little tricky with 100 yard hike from the parking area down a steep slope.  The pond is stocked with bass and trout for great fishing. The birds are amazing.  Henry David Thoreau wrote about White Pond in his book, Walden as the "emerald eyes of the world."  This is a place that magic happens.

This is a quiet and serene spot. In no way does it resemble a modern corporate hotel. Rooms are in an old Victorian and while the age of the building shows in some ways, the friendliness of the hosts made my stay here a good one. Will stay again.

1 night at Getaway Ranch

Such an amazing magical stay! The interior was so beautiful and cozy. It made it hard to pick a favorite spot to relax. But one of my favorite's would have to be the hammock in the screened in porch on the deck overlooking the water i’m listening to all of the birds. I only had one night stay, but it felt jampacked and so easy to get away from the city. Extra stars for leaving a bit of wood to have a fire. I will definitely be staying here again.

I had such a wonderful weekend here - such a cozy spot with a beautiful river view (lots of birds!). Easy to access and still felt super secluded and surrounded by nature. Jae is also amazing and made everything so easy and comfortable!! 10/10 recommend!!

Me, my fiancé and our dogs absolutely loved this place! Nancy and Bert were the best hosts! You could tell they truly love doing this and thought of every little detail you would need while being there! The property was perfect for the dogs to explore while we sat by the fire and relaxed, and they have such a nice trail to explore on, even a cute little fairy garden on it! We already can’t wait to come back!

Seriously great retreat . Trails were awesome . Nothing tops the hospitality from Bert and Nancy!! Overall one of the best glamping spots yet . The whole property seems like every square foot is cared for meticulously. Very well built cabin smells like they were just built yesterday and very ,very sturdy . Will absolutely be returning soon.

The kindness of Bert and Nancy second to none, how it rained for days but the forest sheltered us from getting wet. How beautiful peaceful and private the place was. The decor and work that went into making this place one of its kind. How Bert and Nancy provided us with everything one could want, need, or things we didn’t think of. Weekend Trip to Winimusett Brook Farm Retreat

I’m so glad we chose this cabin for our trip. The weather was awful, but we didn’t care because we had such a cozy little space that still had beautiful views of the woods around us. The land is gorgeous and there are a lots of fun breweries to check out within 20 minutes and closer. The bed and the linens provided were so comfortable and we slept great. The wood burning stove kept us warm and dry and the propane stove was great for cooking and coffee. You don’t need to bring much to this place!

The Barn! that sleeps 16+ people and just shows how gorgeous this property is.

Weekend Trip to Heaven Sent Barn!

Jocelyn’s barn and campsite are just absolutely stunning! I camped there with my church and we just had the loveliest time connecting with nature, playing ball and getting together! When I went there was a little bit of rain but that didn’t stop us from hiking nearby trails and all in all, we had a great time!

From relaxing in the hammock listening to birds and watching ducks to going to sleep serenaded by frogs, it was a peaceful get-away. There are several places to hike within a short drive. I recommend Purgatory Chasm.

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Tree Farm by Sakonnet River

We enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Tree Farm! The hammock, fire pit, and picnic table were great to have available. The tent itself and the bed were comfortable for our 2 night stay. The location is great, right near hiking trails and a local beach. We got to see a beekeeping demonstration from Blake which was a nice way to end our stay. Blake was friendly and communicative, making sure we had everything we would need.

1 night at Glamping with the Wild Horses

Mackenzie and the rest of the volunteers and staff we met were super friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Terrasphere and it was a really unique experience. The site was really well appointed with lights and electricity and a grill and all the other amenities that we need for the stay which made it really easy for us to set up camp and everybody had a great time. The horses are really beautiful, and the grounds are really beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a family or for a group event.
