We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

We loved tent camping here! It was private, quiet, and had everything we were looking for! I particularly enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the toilet and hose which added convenience. Not difficult to get to and everything was as described. There were a good number of insects during midday to sunset, but we found that to be the case in the entire region and not just at this site. I would definitely recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay at the hunts hotsprings. So many beautiful upgrades from my last visit , from benches to bridges over waterways. Camping spaces were perfect, beautiful views. The hot springs temperature and views and the spiritual rejuvenation felt after was one for the books. Fell in love with the wood portal , which is my favorite route to the tubs.

1 night at Whiskeytown Lake Getaway

Nice, quiet camping spot that was easy to get to. You're near to some houses, but still feel like you have your own space. The property has big trees and a little creek running through it. Host was a good communicator.

This was the best hot springs experience I've ever had. I wish I could have stayed longer. Our host was a great communicator and went out of the way to make our visit great. The other guest were also a lot of fun. There were lots of fish in the creek but I didn't have time to go fishing. I will be back. Adam

We liked camping at Kosk hot springs. We could see all the recent improvements: new trails, PVC pipe to the hot pool, new bridge over the creek. We did not meet the host but all the campers were very nice.

2 nights at Happy Valley Roadhouse

This was my first experience with Hipcamp. Greg and Karen’s Happy Valley Roadhouse is a gem! The property is located in a country neighborhood. The welcome from Greg and Karen and their canine companions was genuine. Their sharing of farm fresh eggs and a thermos of cauliflower curry soup and dog cookies was an added bonus. The views of the Trinity Mountains and Mt. Lassen were marvelous. Great place to camp and enjoy some downtime. I camped in a camper van with my Labrador retriever.

We got there almost around 10pm. Very welcoming and gave us a mini tour of the main area. Clean bathrooms and lovely camping site! Easy and quick communication.

Nice open meadow camping a short walk from well maintained hot springs along a beautiful river. Sites along the river have less shade but you get the lovely sound of flowing water. Sites across the meadow in the trees have plentiful shade. Check your dogs, in spring there are definitely ticks!

1 night at Happy Valley Roadhouse

Honestly one of the most beautiful places that Ive stayed the night at. I was car camping and was able to drive right onto the property and park by barn to catch the sun set over the mountains. Also showed up alone but I wish I didn't because the space is perfect to relax and play some board games with friends. The hosts were also extremely kind and made me feel super safe and welcome. Toilet and outdoor shower amenities were also a huge plus and made the stay so much more comfortable. Its in a beautiful countryside area, away from people so you'll wake up to the sounds of farm animals and horses in the distance. Its a deal you cant beat and Im definitely staying here next time im in the area. No complaints from me! Thank you Karen!:)

Camping at the hot spring was an amazing and relaxing experience. Soaking in the warm natural water while surrounded by nature and fresh air made it feel like a peaceful escape. The highlight was enjoying the hot spring under the stars—definitely something I would do again.

My girlfriend and I loved the campground! The hot springs were amazing, especially as they were right next to a cold river. The grounds were well kept, and we loved the location - great views of the stars. Would recommend!

Absolutely beautiful, across the way is a park where you can walk trails but it's also a biking trail also and they say there's like hundreds of miles!! absolutely gorgeous!

Beautiful lake and waterfalls! We were just passing through, but were able to check out Whiskeytown falls and Crystal Creek falls. Would love to go back and spend some time on the lake.
