Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company. Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town. You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer. If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores. You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways. I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well. What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed. And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing! There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy. A wonderful place where memories are made.Enjoy serene privacy surrounded by trees and vegetation with a large open space perfect for camping with family and friends. Free from 'lights out" or "quiet times", you can relax and enjoy the company of the people you love the most. Just a short 10-minute private walk to the ocean through beautiful expansive dunes where you can enjoy the sandy beach, fly kites, day camp, host a picnic, enjoy the sunset, and so much more. • Our campsite is dog friendly, where they can roam free without a leash to sniff till their hearts are content. • Rubber boots are highly advised during the winter months (November-May) as a trek to the beach requires a trek through the seasonal wetlands. • Ocean Shores allows beach access by a vehicle at certain locations. Doggo paradise!

This was a great spot and a dog lovers dream! We truly were hidden away in the beautiful little forest behind the dunes, out of the wind and still close to the beach. The trail to the beach was still flooded in some areas, which is to be expected this time of year. But the ground was soft and we just went barefoot. Our 4 large dogs were free to romp and sniff as there is a long private and gated driveway and the path to the beach is hidden and not too close so we did not have to worry about our pups at all. Also, the spot is close to Ocean Shores for stores and restaurants, but still so private and secluded that it does not feel like you are anywhere near it. We loved it and hope to come back soon!

Camped here for the first time last week. This site is going to be added to our list of sites to visit frequently. Such a clean, peaceful, private, and quiet site. Most of the time all you could hear was the ocean, birds, and frogs. Our two golden retrievers loved being able to run around off leash and just be dogs. If you have been thinking about staying here, just do it. You will love it.

What a great spot! Very private, clean and lots of room to run around. The only hiccup was the path to the beach was flooded out and we had to drive to the beach so make sure to note when going it hasn’t rained excessively. Even with the trail blocked, it was super easy to drive to the beach and the seclusion was worth it!

Amazing location. Great for larger groups and plenty of room for the kids and dogs to run around. Definitely be mindful of wildlife in the area as we came across a few forest friends while visiting. Can’t wait to come again!

What a lovely campsite! It was so peaceful and private. Just what we needed for a wonderful weekend getaway. The path from the campsite to the beach was still too waterlogged to walk in our ankle-high rain boots but it was a super quick and easy drive to the beach. The hosts were easy to communicate with and clearly take a lot of pride in their beautiful property. We’ll definitely be back!

It was a great hideaway for my wife and I and our 2 dogs. Good privacy and quiet, felt like we were camping further out in the woods than such a short drive from town. Nice big fire pit and a large area to easily turn around our long camper van. The owner was also very nice and responsive.

We loved the large private site and fire pit. While the path to the beach was flooded during the time we were there, it is just a short easy drive to the beach from the site so it was no big deal. The site is very close to downtown Ocean Shores with lots of options for dining, shopping, and recreation. And, Suzanne, the host, is great to work with. She had great communication and gave very clear and accurate directions. We look forward to our next opportunity to stay at this site.

Absolutely wonderful times camping at Suzanne’s spot. We came down for razor clams and there is a trail directly to the beach from the camp. Tons of space, privacy, and a wonderful area. Massive fire pit and a very clean and maintained port-a-john. I will definitely be coming back.

This may be my favorite place to stay! If you're looking for a private place to camp, this is it. I am always skeptical when i see picures and a spot lots private because usually it's just a good camera angle, but i promise you will be 100% alone here. It is amazing. On top of the privacy, it's a quick walk to the beach on a private trail. The host is super accommodating and responsive, the site was clean, the porta-potty was well maintained, there is a big firepit. There is nothing I would change. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for sharing this beautiful space!

This is such a great hipcamp. It was just the two of us and our little trailer, but there is tons of space for a group camping trip. The path to the beach was completely dry at the time, and we didn't see any mosquitoes at the camp site. The mural on the shipping container is really cute and added to the beachy vibe. There's a nice metal patio set we moved around and used as well. Had some issues with the port-a-potty but Suzanne was wonderful to work with and if we get a chance we'll definitely be back in the future.

This was our second time camping at Coastal Family Hideaway and my husband and I are already talking about coming back next year and making this a tradition. If Suzanne ever takes the campsite off of Hipcamp it will be deeply missed! Long gravel road, big open field with room for many activities/games or vehicles, tents etc., beautiful (to the point of being magical) walk down to the ocean, and all of it so private. The town is just 5 minutes away for ice cream, miniature golf, arcade games, and the cutest restaurants and shops. Our dogs run free all day and they’ve never been happier. Our son adored every second. You will get sandy and dusty and wet but it is beyond worth it. We always feel so grateful and blessed to be able to stay in such a beautiful place. Thank you Suzanne for giving us the opportunity to experience it.

This campsite was private and a perfect distance to the beach! Just far enough that you aren't bothered by hustle and bustle of the beach traffic, but still close enough to hear the ocean at night and have an off leash pooch! The Porta potty was clean and convenient with multiple places for a tent. Such an amazing spot... this will be a bookmarked destination for any coast vacations in our future, and we really appreciated the prompt communication and graciousness of the host. Can't wait to come back!

The ocean and the woods all in one.

This is a true gem. The site is about 2 minutes down a gravel road and about 5 minute walk to the beach which seems to put it about in the middle of the 4 acres. Down town Ocean Shores is just around the corner yet the only thing you hear from the site is wildlife and the ocean. You can tell it is loved and well taken care of. Suzanne was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive and just an overall delight. We certainly will be booking again.

Coastal Family Hideaway is AMAZING!!! We can’t wait to go back. The privacy, beautiful path to the beach and location is absolutely gorgeous. We did have citronella candles for the mosquitos which helped. We took many walks to the beach throughout the day and explored the quaint town of Ocean Shores and visited Damon Point Beach for rock hounding. We are already planning our next stay☺️🌊🐚!
