A beautiful garden spot in a rural neighborhood. Dogwood Shangri La lies in the heart of the town of Bear River. A park, river-walk and candy store are an easy stroll. There is a pull-thru gravel driveway suitable for RV's with power & water. For those desiring a roof there is also a clean 5'x8' wooden-floor, uninsulated camping cabin in a dogwood enclosure. A block to the north is a little candy store (8am-8pm), post office (closes mid-day) and church. A block to the east is a shady park with horseshoes, volleyball, ball field, slides, merry-go-round, fire pit, restrooms (summer) and arena. To the south is the cemetery and to the west is a school playground. Explore the town with ease on foot or bicycle (we have some to loan). There are a few snakes and toads but chances you'll step on one are slithering remote. The gardens pose a risk of toppling over only as rain storms transform them into treacherous mud-slips. There is a rooster on the block as well as some dogs but things are generally quite peaceful... barnyard peaceful. A sewage dump is available. The Town of Corinne is 3 miles to the south and features: Corinne Short Stop: 3878 West Hwy UT-13, weekdays 4:30am to 10pm, weekends 9am to 10 pm, 435-744-2603 Bear River Coop Hardware: 2780 N 4800 W, Corinne, UT 84307 C-Store Hours 5am-10pm, Hardware Closes at 5 or 6 pm, 435-744-2211 I-15 is about four miles to the north and has two gas stations, a couple fast food venders and plenty of other travel-plaza type supplies. This is a garden with privacy provided by tall dogwoods (and, ultimately, by the maker of the dogwoods). In season, the adjacent garden will have zucchini, corn, peppers and tomatoes. There is a fire bowl and a barbecue grill is available.

Everything was great! Fred’s spot is clean, cozy, and easy to navigate. Fred is kind, helpful, and gracious. He met us when we arrived to show us around. He had lots of recommendations for places to go and things to see. We would definitely stay again!

Quiet and serene powered spot with
Fred spot was exactly what we were looking for. I was so happy to pull in under darkness on a cold night and see him waving us into the driveway. We drove in a self-contained bus but we did need to plug our extension cord in the powering our refrigerator for the night and it all worked out perfectly. And it's a very quiet space. Just off the highway and slept like the baby. Fred's communication was top notch and I appreciate his being on top of everything so quickly and easily. I would definitely stay here again and it is on my list of favorites when I'm doing across country trips now.

Safe, pleasant and accommodating
Fred’s first Hipcamper and glad for it. Fred and I never met but I found him to be straightforward in his communications with clear and quick responses. A pleasant spot. Pay careful attention to the size, type and dimensions of rigs appropriate. In its current confirmation, I’m not sure slide-outs would work presently. He was clear in his descriptions. Every reason to believe that Fred will continue to sweeten the spot, though. It was just right for me. I got a bit confused based on my Waze gps but that was perhaps more me than bad data and was easily sorted. Thanks Fred.
