⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (location carries it—Mother Nature is doing the heavy lifting)
Here’s the good, the okay, and the “this really needs a maintenance budget.”
The Great:
You can’t beat the location. Right on Bear Lake with easy beach access, stunning views, and that unreal blue water, it’s the main reason to stay here. The camp host was also friendly and welcoming.
The Okay:
The showers are functional. Warm enough to avoid a cold shock, but don’t expect anything fancy. They get the job done, which is about all you can ask for at a campground.
Needs Work:
This is where things fall apart.
The restroom building is in rough shape—honestly, we’d prefer a clean pit toilet. The picnic tables and covers are also worn out and need replacing. The biggest concern was the overgrown grass covering driving and camping areas. In dry conditions and fire season, that feels risky—one spark could be a serious problem.
Overall, the location is incredible, but maintenance is clearly lacking. With some investment and upkeep, this could be a top-tier campground. Right now, Bear Lake itself is doing most of the work.
