We absolutely loved this yurt and cannot wait to go back! It was very clean and super cozy. Very private as well. Jennifer was very kind and great to communicate with. We explored Lava Hot Springs and Chesterfield, got to enjoy an intense lightening storm and just overall got to relax and escape reality for a bit. The amenities were endless, and the board games provided were a highlight to our trip! We hope to make this a regular spot for our get-away needs!

This was our second visit to Jen's Idaho Yurt. Our family enjoyed it so much the first time, we came back a few years later. The Yurt is well stocked, comfortable and so peaceful. Great for family time away and close enough to Lava Hot springs for convenient daily trips into town for tubing and soaking in the hot springs.

This was our first time glamping and we loved staying at Jennifer’s yurt! It is an absolutely gem and she has thought of everything. Our family of 5 stayed quite comfortably. I’m hoping to stay again next year! If you need anything charged during your stay remember your usb chargers!

We stayed at Jennifer’s yurt for three nights over the Fourth of July with my husband and kids, and it was such a peaceful and memorable experience. The yurt was cozy, clean, spacious, and thoughtfully decorated — with so many little touches that made our stay extra comfortable. It was also very well-equipped with everything we needed, from a full kitchen and bathroom to extra bedding and three full-size, comfortable beds.
The location felt private and peaceful, with beautiful views all around. It was about 30 minutes from Lava Hot Springs, but the scenic drive made it feel much shorter — we actually enjoyed the drive every time. The outdoor area was perfect for spending time together, with a fire pit and a great spot for barbecuing.
Jennifer was an excellent host — very responsive and helpful when I had a concern. I really appreciated how much care was put into making guests feel welcome.
I’d absolutely recommend this stay to others. Just a heads-up: it gets chilly in the mornings and warm in the afternoons, so bring layers. We’d love to come back!

Best hipcamp ever! I cannot recommend this place enough. Jenn created the most magical space to stay in among the breathtaking surroundings. Jennifer’s yurt was everything the listing advertised and more. The accommodations were above and beyond what we were expecting. Then to top it off the views were spectacular and plenty of exploring can be done without once getting in our car.
Jennifer’s communication was very timely and very very thorough. She send ideas to do in the area a week before our arrival date so we could plan accordingly. She followed that with the very detailed directions so we found the place easily even though we arrived after dark.
The yurt itself was so fun and cozy. Jenifer has thought of everything. With a fully stocked kitchen, games and puzzles, and plenty of linens there was nothing we felt we could have added. She even hung a happy birthday garland making us feel that she truly thought about making our stay special. We will definitely be back again. Would love to experience the place in the snow.

So perfect! Was a great launching point but also a destination to hang with friends and family. Everything was laid out as if perfectly planned. Great outdoor area, but amazing inside with all the comforts you’d need, and decorated to a T! We were blown away by both the serenity of the land the and comfort of the home. So happy to have stayed there! BTW - we got there no problem in our Honda odyssey in mid July. Only wish we had more time!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The surroundings are beautiful and the yurt and property are super comfortable and clearly lovingly maintained. Beautiful and comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces.
The road is fairly rough - about 6 miles on unpaved - but our kia soul made the trip. Please note that the refrigerator does not work but can be used as an icebox (which fit our needs). The host communicated this prior to our arrival but can’t remember if it was in the listing.
We only spent two nights and I wish we had been able to spend more time here. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at this yurt property, and it was an unforgettable experience. Powered by solar and propane, it blends rustic charm with modern amenities, providing a cozy retreat for 3 or 4 guests. The seclusion under vast open skies and surrounded by mountains was perfect for relaxation. The scenic roads and trails were a joy to explore, and the views of the mountains and valleys were breathtaking. Despite its remote feel, it's conveniently near Lava Hot Springs, with river tubing, hot springs, swimming, go-kart tracks, and zip-lining just a 25-minute drive away. A perfect spot for both tranquility and adventure!
My only suggestions are:
A lamp with an eco light blub for the center of the room and an electric icebox (sorta like the ones at the gas station that store icecream in) If it has a clear on and off policy it should last longer. Sorta like just bring your own ice blocks kinda thing so it doesn't have to run the whole time.
We will definitely be coming back next summer!

The yurt was beautiful, unique, and so beautifully decorated. Everything you could ever need was provided. The views were stunning and the wildflowers will pop in a few weeks. Jen was so helpful and great with communication. I would suggest Maple Grove Hot Springs 55 minutes away for the most peaceful and beautiful experience. It's reservation only, so no crowds.

I love this place! It is such a beautiful location with well outfitted accommodations. The views are absolutely amazing. Just sitting and taking it all in either from inside through the big windows or outside in the comfy chairs near the fire is so relaxing. The yurt is comfortable and the hosts have done a fantastic job providing all the info you need to make your stay a breeze.

We had a relaxing stay at the yurt over Labor Day weekend! There are a couple of good hikes nearby. Jennifer has put together well thought out, detailed instructions about how to use all the features of the yurt (water, electricity, lights, range, etc.). When I had questions, she was great about responding quickly by text.

The Yurt was so perfect and cozy! We cooked over the fire the first night and enjoyed the endless stars in the sky. After returning from lava hot springs our second night it was rainy and chilly outside so we spent the evening snuggled inside enjoying drinks in front of the wood burning stove listening to the rain hit the roof. It was 35° outside but we snuggled down comfortably in the 72° yurt! The views, cows, fall leaves, outhouse, and everything about this stay was amazing! Thank you Jennifer for such a fun weekend escaping the city!

Jenn's Yurt was an absolute dream! My fiancé and I had the perfect off-grid experience unwinding and feeling at one with nature. The yurt is the perfect balance of glamping with plenty of amenities, but also feeling cut off from the world and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Everything felt homey and well cared for. All we could think about was how much our children would enjoy the experience and can't wait to come back and bring them! Jenn is a true example of what it means to be hospitable...thank you for opening up your home to us and letting us enjoy your little slice of paradise! *Also want to give a shout-out to Mountain Mayhem Rentals in Lava Hot Springs. We got to explore the many trails surrounding the yurt in an ATV rental and it was an absolute blast! They were so helpful and kind...we highly recommend doing this while you are visiting the yurt. :)

Lovely yurt with such incredible attention to detail! We loved having a lazy autumn morning reading by the wood stove, cooking in the massive outdoor kitchen, and star gazing by the campfire at night! Highly recommend.

This was such a unique and comfortable yurt! We were able to obtain the peace and space that comes with an off-grid stay, without sacrificing warmth, comfort, fully stocked kitchen, sink, comfy chairs, beds and bedding! We don't usually repeat our stays because we like to see new places, but there's enough to do in the area, where we barely scratched the surface. The only way we were able to tear away was by promising ourselves that we'd be back!

Jennifer's yurt is a very special trip. The yurt is completely outfitted and has every comfort and every detail has been though of, from games, bug spray, kitchen set up, bathroom. The space and land is beautiful and Jennifer was very quick to respond to the questions I had. I was looking for a beautiful, quiet retreat and I found it here. 10/10

Jennifer was a fantastic host! Directions were clear, close to activities in Lava or you can stay on site and enjoy the fire pit, grill & picnic area. Totally off grid, spotty cell service (which we were hoping to be without), outhouse was surprisingly nice, couldn’t see any neighbors. :) More than we hoped and we intend to return next year. Gurt the yurt will be a memory our family will always remember. Highly recommend!
