Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.Pitch your tent under a canopy of mature trees,. Over 20 acres of a mixture of manicured park and total natural woods. There is easy access to the Brazos River from a beautiful beach. No ATVs. You can drive to your campsite. These are tent areas only.

The tent area is primitive. There are dirt roads to the tent sites. And each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. The bathroom and shower is at main camp by the Bait Shop

This place is really family friendly—particularly for those that want to go camping but don’t want to do their business outside and want to shower. The animals are the best part imo. We got to pet the goats and even had some of the kids (goat babies) lay in our laps. The site is very clean and the local community is very friendly.

I had a wonderful time at Gypsy Moon. Amy was very accommodating and the people there were all very friendly. I had an ideal campsite that was right on the river. Beautiful views and lots of nice public spaces. I hope to return soon with my family for kayaking. . I think the grandkids will love it!

We had a great time at Amy’s place. We stayed at the primitive camp site, but everything was very close by and convenient. They had everything you needed on the property. The animals that lived there were awesome, especially Dirk the goat! I could have just watched the baby goats playing for hours! There were so many songbirds, and the stargazing was great. There were kayaks for rent, that could use a little updating, but while they wouldn’t be for a serious kayaker, (who would have their own gear), they were probably good enough for a novice to play around with. New paddles and seats would be nice. All in all it was a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again!

Amazing campsite and we loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be going again the Only issue was a RV with dogs that would not stop barking constant. Didn’t matter how far you could still hear them.

Our Most Relaxing+Romantic Getaway!

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

The experience was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Amy was very accommodating and great with our children in our group. This camp has a wonderful pavilion with lots of seating and activities for the children also. We loved the animals, the quiet, and the area to walk and enjoy. We will definitely recommend this place to others. We look forward to our next visit!!

Farm life at its best!

What a great experience!

We enjoyed Gypsy Moon Hideaway on both visits. The Dollhouse was clean, had the essentials and we also got visited by some of the friendly animals who reside there. We will be back.

We’ve been here a few times and love it. We love the goats and the chickens and big Fred the goose. It’s beautiful and quiet. A beautiful drive back there too. You thankfully forget you are in the metroplex. And Amy the host is a sweetheart. Please don’t take site 1 we like it open for ourselves. lol

Amazing experience! Had a cute kitten chilling with me at my campsite the whole time to keep me company. This is super close to a pretty big town incase you want a nice meal or need to get some internet. 10/10 would recommend and will be back!

Stayed in the primitive tent site, Raccoon something. Sage, the camp cat, kept us company and snuggled up in the tent in the morning. She makes the best biscuits! Brought our telescope and had wonderful views of the moon. Will come back.

Such a sweet owner and unique experience. We felt extremely welcome and the views were gorgeous. Some highlights were feeding the cows and canoeing in the Brazos! By far my favorite getaway in a while.

Rustic Glamping

The entire Gypsy Moon RV park and Hide-away is such a cool place off the beaten path. We had two nights there in late November with a beautiful day that hit 80º F for our stay and we used the canoes/kayaks- with full coverage of safety equipment it was chilly and overcast the next day- luckily we had already showered in our CABIN before it got chilly. We loved our little mini fridge, mini kitchen, with stocked cooking supplies and fully functional bathroom with a stand up shower. The rooms were eclectically decorated with fun kitschy nicknacks and wall art had heat/cooling devices that worked great. My family enjoyed the livestock on the premises- ducks, geese, chickens, goats, and even baby calves. I think the owner got some bunnies while we were there as well. The goats are gentle and there is one goose who was a little intimidating but we stayed safe with our dog behind our gated cabin. So fun to camp with our dog. There was a resident elderly dog that was kind and let us pet her. Other people visiting the property had their dogs as well. We read our books, played board games, and had some fun activities to use like a tether ball and also the Connect Four game near the covered picnic tables. Next time I'll bring the croquet set and horse shoe game. The last thing we enjoyed was walking the campground on the cutely named sites connected along the river. Really liked this place~ and it was only 20 minutes to big restaurant chains and shops in Weatherford.
