Myers Corner - Brazos River Camp!
This is a complicated review. The site was nice, the people seemed welcoming. However, these people live there. So going camping on a holiday weekend there be like a vacation. Think of it as a HOA kind of vibe. The river is a 20 minute walk; not quite walking distance when you have kids. We got nothing but complaints about the campfire that we built, in their premade fire pit with wood they offered us to use. And the complaints were pretty aggressive. I really feel for the owner, because she’s trying to offer a camping vacation spot while keeping her residents happy. But, bottom line, this is not a great place for a true camping spot, especially if you have kids. If your goal is to take your camper somewhere else for a change of scenery and keep to yourself and stay in your lot, well, you’re golden.

If you are looking for a place to disconnect, that has a beautiful view and just a peaceful place to enjoy family time! This is the perfect place. Waking up to this view and the sound of birds and some cute cows and deers, it's was just truly amazing! Our youth group really enjoyed it. They got to experience God presence in a very special way🙌🏻🤍🏕 We definitely would love to come back🙏🏻

Stayed at one of the lovely lodging locations by the Brazos river! Good water pressure and hot water. Fridge, AC/heat, hotplate, TV, indoor flush toilet, indoor shower, comfortable bed. Coffee maker present but did not use.
Location is managed but owner is nearby. Both people were very accommodating and communication was very good. Price was comparable to motels, but privacy surpassed all!!
We were returning from an east-west coast car-camping/nomad road trip. We planned to stay with a friend but they got sick and we needed to find last minute alternative lodging before leaving Texas. We were ahead of the storms coming from the west and south (March 11-16 2025). This site was not only available last minute for us but allowed a one night stay. We booked a few hours away and drove to this lovely location. I only wish I could have booked longer but definitely will save this as a favorite location to return. <3
Word to the wise for all:
ALWAYS contact HipCamp hosts prior to booking even if it is an Instant Book. Just like with the other types of “hosted stays” AirBnB, Vrbo, HarvestHosts —Technology is cool but can be flawed. I have stayed at two HipCamps and plan to host my own. Both times the app fell short on some info, but not enough to spoil the experience. Just communicate with the hosts and all will work out!

Myers Corner Brazos Cabin and RV
We have stayed here twice now, and we love it. Perfect spot to hang out in the water and the little cabin is spotlessly clean. Plenty of room for the kids to pitch a tent. They are very responsive and kind. If you looking for a spot to just hang outside for the weekend, this is the place to be.

The place was perfect for the kind of get-togethers we have once a year, corner lot right on the river, beautiful location lots of trees, horseshoe pit and cornhole is available on site. We brought our own washers and had a washer tournament as well.

This is so much more than just a place to set up a tent. Unbelievable value, friendliness, and ammenities. The host was so helpful and such a fantastic person. We are already setting up a second trip for this location. This one is a no-brainer.

We loved tent camping on AJ's land! The views were beautiful, especially the sunrise. There are other sites/houses nearby but it wasn't loud. It is so peaceful and serene. From the Deer that just wander around to the gaggle of Turkeys that walk across the land in the morning. During the day, you can enjoy the view of Falcons, Owls, and Vultures. The cliff across the river with all its trees is great to look at while fishing. During the night, it was nice to hear the Cayotes (thankfully across the river lol). The stars are SO bright and clear. It was windy the first day but the trees pretty much protected the campsite. The cabin was very nice! The shower/bathroom is nice also.
Frankie was so nice to message a lot of information from events in Weatherford to fishing/swimming advice for the Brazos. They were very welcoming and make you feel apart of the community there.
We had 8 adults and 2 kids. We rate it 9 out 10. We will definitely be back. They have a neighboring rental that holds 12 people. It's located at the bend and has more land to walk. We want to try that house next. We will be recommending to EVERYONE we know. If you're not into tent camping the cabin is a great place to stay.
