We had a great time. David is extremely attentive and very generous to his guests to make sure you have everything you need. The firewood he included was a huge plus for us! Nice sites and close to Charlotte for a quick night out camping.

Now we only stayed here for 1 night but this was definitely one of our favorites we have stayed at. There are two campsites here on the creek, but they are far enough away from each other that it is fine. Nice fire pit, picnic table, and swing for you to have a good time around.

We loved tent camping in this spot! We were at camp site 1 and felt like there was plenty of privacy from the other campers. We hung up a hammock by the creek and enjoyed the swing. We will come back!

This was the perfect site! Beautiful, secluded enough but not far away from civilization. There’s a small building between both camp sites so you can’t hear/see the other group. The trains were a little loud at night but if you’re tired or a heavy sleeper, you should be fine! We will absolutely be coming back!

Tent camping was great on the property, we stayed at campsite 2, plenty of space and flat land. Very nice that they had firewood available on the site. Also used the swing and picnic table. It was very nice to have a working toilet and water available. Great for just hanging out with the family and relaxing, private enough, not a lot of stuff for kids to explore, but close enough that we were to Kings Mountain Park. Very clean, had no problems.

This is a great location and easy to find. The rustic bathroom was clean and easy to use. I loved sitting on the swing with my morning coffee, listening to the birds and the nearby stream.

We loved camping here! The creek is beautiful and our boys loved catching salamanders and crayfish. We shared the site with my father in law and we were very comfortable and spread out. The seemingly unlimited supply of firewood from the shed was amazing! There is a Dollar General 5 minutes away if you need to grab anything. It was also very nice being only 15 minutes away from all Kings Mountain has to offer. Thank you, David!

This was a great place to spend a couple of days. It's very easy to find, and its basically right off of the interstate. The truck stop at the exit is a Love's too, which is great since I try to stop at those across the country to get the gas discount. This is probably the only place I have ever stayed where they provided free firewood, which I really appreciated. Being in a camper van, I don't normally bring firewood because I would have to put it inside, and hosts (correctly) charge some fee if they have wood to provide. So, that was a great perk, and was much appreciated. Thank you!

David's camping spot by the creek is absolutely charming! The picturesque setting next to the water creates a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The provided firewood was a fantastic bonus, especially since it was free—though it did take a bit of effort to light after a rainy night.
We had the entire space to ourselves, but even if the other site were occupied, there’s plenty of room for privacy, so you won’t feel crowded. The only minor drawback was some background noise from the nearby interstate and occasional trains, but it wasn’t overly disruptive.
Overall, it’s a wonderful place to disconnect and enjoy nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy creekside getaway!

woke up by a little creek. had an abundant free supply of dry wood to start the morning fire. space under the trees. a great little spot for the campervan to rest a night or two in our travels.

This is a nice site right on the small creek with added benefit of an outhouse with flushing toilet, plenty of firewood, fire pit, swing, and picnic table. There is some hum of road noise from I-85 during the day, but I couldn't hear a thing inside our van overnight. Nice tree cover for shade. Loved that there was a little HipCamp tent sign at the driveway. I wish everyone would do that! Quick and easy drive from Charlotte.

During our stay it was the 2 coldest nights in 2024 so far. There was plenty of wood to keep the fire going for nearly 2 days with some left over. Nice and quiet location. The road near by was not that busy. New bench swing and picnic table.

We booked this site last minute while traveling the South Carolina Adventure Route, and it was perfect! A peaceful spot by the creek with a swing, picnic table, fire ring, and even chopped wood! Everything we needed was right there. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, well-equipped campsite!

Great location, close to 85. Free firewood and plenty of space to spread out! The water and bathroom were AMAZING, especially for females. David was also very responsive and checked in on us to make sure all was good after arrival. You do hear a lot of cars from a side road that runs about 50 ft away from site 1. Only other con was a train whistle several times in the night that woke us from sleep… though we are very light sleepers and someone else may not hear it as loudly. Overall, would definitely recommend!!!
