One of the best experiences we've had on Hipcamp. Jim was more than accommodating -- he was a selfless host. He offered to help us with the RV we were working on and he did just that. He helped me put a door back on its hinges lending me tools and his knowledge. The property is beautiful and the sheep, the ducks, the dog, and the cat made me feel as if I was right at home. The cabin is perfect for couples or small groups who don't mind being cozy. It was amazing cooking steaks on our camper grill under the stars on the porch and then coming inside to finish the day with a warm drink and marshmallows toasted over a fire. Wifi is good for streaming and checking emails, but it is best to be closer to the house for a better signal. Bathroom was super clean and the least smelly outdoor toilet I have ever sat inside. We will remember this place fondly and hope to return in the future to have another fantastical getaway in the Valley.

We loved camping in the field at the farm! The sunset from the spot was INCREDIBLE. And the dogs loved being able to run around the property. The host was very accommodating and helped us with the firewood. We will definitely be back!

We had a really wonderful week staying on a beautiful piece of property. Jim was extremely friendly and very helpful. The facilities were very clean. Jim went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was fantastic. He even brought us firewood, something I had forgotten to pack. If you're wondering whether this place is worth it, no need to guess it definitely is. Located 25 minutes away from the 10 waterfalls trail. In Silver Falls State Park. If you're looking for somewhere beautiful and Serene to disconnect and spend some time this is the place to do it. I look forward to Camping here again.

Alder Meadow
We had such a lovely stay in Alder Meadow. The farm was absolutely beautiful and we loved getting the chance to pet the sheep and explore the historic land. The location was perfect to allow for a peaceful camp evening outside and a trip to Silver Falls State Park the next day. The road was right there but it wasn't too busy so the noise was minimal. :)

This was a top tier camp site for us! The property was beautiful with the giant heritage trees, stream, and ducks waddling about. Not to mention the view of the horizon for sunset! Fire pit and table were in great condition as well as the composting toilet. Friendly folks, easy to find and set up in, and perfect for what we needed. Thank you!

What a delightful place! Peaceful, scenic and surrounded by personal family history dating back to 1850.
Jim is a wonderful host. Thankfully his great great great grandfather established the farm ten minutes from the Oregon Garden, 30 minutes from Silver Falls and only 8 minutes from the Willamette Valley Pie Company!

Perfect spot for a family camp out. Our 2 year old loved the swing, sheep, doggy, and barn cat. Our 12 and 14 year old enjoyed the firepit and the farm setting. My husband loved clipping fresh herbs for breakfast from the food forest.

GeerCrest Farm is a peaceful place to be and explore. We enjoyed the stay with our 3 year-old, who loved the ducks and sheep and exploring around. He wished we were staying another night, and I do to! We highly recommend it. Jim was helpful, communicative and kind. The cabins are what we expected and as the listing shows. The fire kept us very cozy in the April chill. Would definitely recommend! Close to so many fun things to see.

Would highly recommend staying here.
The location is perfect as well for visiting Silver Falls State Park (~20m) with the cozy town of Silverton being close by (8 min).
Jim greeted us and was great to hear the amazing history around the farm. There are plaques around the property explaining some of the history and the land is so peaceful. A creek is near the Adler Meadow and when we were there all of the flowers were starting to bloom. The Alder Meadow faces west as well for a perfect sunset view with extra warmth in the evening.

Just book it! This historic farm has all the charm of a storybook with a rich history(there are information plaques all around the garden, orchard and cabins, so make sure to walk around). The cabins are well stocked with everything from ample outlets to extra bedding to kindling for your woodburning stove. Jim was such a warm and excellent host. While we didn't end up needing anything I'm sure he would have been more than accommodating 😁 Silverfalls is only 20ish mins away and an epic adventure. There's also a small town just a few mins away from the farm, so if you need anything you can just pop into town. I hope you stay here so you can experience the peace and beauty yourself

What a delightful find! Not only is the accommodation warm, clean and inviting, the property itself is a historical monument of Silverton, remaining in the care of it's original family for over 100 years! Jim was a gracious host who was very attentive to ensuring I had everything I needed, and kindly took me around the property to share some of its history and beauty.
Highly recommend! Plan to arrive early or stick around if you can.

We had an awesome time at this adorable farm! We had no problem fitting our 33 ft trailer into the site with room to spare. The site was well kept with a fire pit and picnic table. The compost toilet was freshly cleaned upon our arrival. My 5 and 3 year old kids loved swinging on the swing, running through the orchards, feeding the ducks at the pond, visiting the sheep, and climbing up to the treehouse. So much to explore around the property and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Ww were even invited to make fresh pressed apple cider with the locals at their community event, We all had a blast for the weekend and would highly recommend this place to others!

We had a nice experience here! It was fun learning about the history behind the farm, and it was a great launching point into nearby Silver Falls. We did notice that there were a higher than average amount of bugs that we had to shoo away from our tent, but this may have been because of a rain storm that hit when we first arrived. Miriam, the host, was responsive, and it was nice having a dishwashing station available for use.

We had a great experience here! Miriam was responsive and everything was as described, clean and welcoming. The farm is quiet but also close to Silverton and Silver Falls State Park. The cabins are set back in the woods and spaced a comfortable distance apart from each other. We enjoyed it and would stay here again!

I had such a great time staying in the Alder Meadow. It was close enough to run into town quick but out of town enough to be quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay again! Maybe I’ll check out one of the other spots they have next time.

This was a perfect spot for our teardrop trailer. Plenty of place, beautiful setting with a small creek, duck pond, some sheep, a clean composting toilet, and small orchard to wander through. It’s less than 20 minutes to Silver Fall state park where we enjoyed a beautiful hike
