Perfect home away from home.
I loved everything about my stay at this Tiny House. I was nervous about the stay as I was traveling alone, but as soon as I stepped into this remote home I was put at ease. With Harvey’s home far enough away to give me privacy but close enough to make me feel safe. The area is about an hour north of Santa Fe which I liked because I didn’t want to be too close to a city but it was a close enough drive to check out things. I definitely rate this stay a 10/10 for cleanliness, views, location, and safety. Thank you Harvey for allowing me to work on my memoir in your tiny home.

A Grand Adventure in the Tiny House
We really enjoyed staying in the Tiny House! This was one of our stops on our way back from our lifelong bucket list Grand adventure to the Grand Canyon!
It is the perfect place to enjoy the surrounding trails, restaurants and attractions in this area. So close to Santa Fe, Bandelier National Monument, Valles Calderas and many more beautiful geological and historical landmarks. Harvey is a very nice host and greeted us upon our arrival. He offered wood for our fire pit, information on trails and restaurants in the area. We sincerely enjoyed the wonderful views from the picture windows in the house. We loved sitting on the front porch just enjoying the views and sounds of nature. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with kitchen utensils, cookware and dinnerware. A very peaceful and private visit in this area. This was truly a wonderful experience for us! Thank You Harvey for sharing your Tiny House with us! Your Tiny House was a big part of our Grand adventure and one that we will keep in our hearts!

Magical stay in a tiny house
We had the most exceptional stay at Harvey’s tiny house. It was incredibly peaceful, serene and private.
The house is built in an intestinal way to where it’s very grounding, and no electrical radiation so you sleep better and have better mood.
The area itself has great access to natural wonders like Ghost Ranch and Plaza Blanca.
There aren’t a tone of food options close by but the Abiquiu inn has a good restaurant. We suggest stocking up in groceries in Sante Fe so you can cook yourself.
Harvey was very friendly and we shared some great conversations. We can’t wait to go back !

Harvey’s tiny house is set in beautiful scenery, with a well crafted and comfortable interior. Harvey was a kind host and was responsive, but let me do my own thing while staying. Highly recommended for a stopover or longer get away.

Harvey was so generous and kind, greeting me for a late evening check in and ensuring I had breakfast for the morning (including a delicious little coffee cake from his neighbor). The home itself was absolutely perfect and in the most stunning landscape. Watching sunsets and sunrises was truly breathtaking. It's in a great location to visit ghost ranch, have a soak at ojo caliente, do incredible hikes, and take a day trip to taos.

Serene retreat in the mountains
I wanted to find a serene spot for my silent retreat, especially after covid, a lot of spiritual centers are closed for big gatherings and have been offering retreats online. I signed up for a 10-day silent retreat, and decided to rent this cabin in the New Mexico mountains (40 mins from Santa Fe). This EXCEEDED my expectations. This is PERFECT. The views from the windows are great, very quiet, lots of natural light, the host was kind and helping, the price is unbelievable (stay with these views might cost $200-$250 elsewhere), kitchen was stocked with a lot of organic stuff, vessels are convenient for my self-cooking during the retreat, there's a refrigerator, oven (not microwave), comfortably warm with heaters (it went to -4 one day with a lot of snow), and most importantly, uninterrupted high speed wifi, which made my retreat very comfortable. More than all the stocked up items in the house, I felt a lot of love in the house. I am grateful for this experience. Thanks Harvey.

A perfect spot to get away from it all. I especially appreciated that there isn't a television. The surrounding area is filled with hiking opportunities.

So cozy!
Harvey's tiny house is like a little slice of heaven in the desert. The kitchen is well equipped, the loft bed is soft as a cloud, and the whole place is cozy and inviting. The views from the main window in the living/dining space are absolutely incredible! I came for a three-day solo retreat, and I really appreciated the proximity to the trails and other outdoor activities in Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch, etc. I can't recommend Harvey's place highly enough! Perfect for a solo traveler or a couple.

Beautiful Views and Cute Space
This was a super cute and fun place to stay! The views are phenomenal. 360 panoramic desert and Mountain Views as far as the eye can see. This little house is the perfect space to relax and reflect in nature. Harvey, the host, is very kind. He provides delicious fresh ground coffee and fresh olive oil, which is amazing. I loved staying here and will definitely remember this place for my next trip through Abiquiu!

The Perfect Stay
Harvey’s Tiny House was the perfect place for our week-long stay in Northern New Mexico. It’s very private, yet easily accessible. It was just enough space for the two of us (the loft bed is so comfortable!). Harvey gave us some great tips of places to check out around Abiquiu (there are so many amazing experiences nearby!). After a day of adventures, it was nice to come back to a quiet home where we could shower, cool off (that July sun!) and cook a meal before bed. We would definitely return!

Well worth the visit
We drove in from Ohio. It took us a couple days to get there, but it was well worth it. There's more room than the pictures convey. There was a wonderful breeze almost every night which allowed us to not really need the AC much. There was a great hike from the house to summer nearby rock formations and hidden canyons that Harvey shared with us. There was something very relaxing/peaceful about the hike and being near the rock formations. While the tiny house isn't really close to the tourist sites, it was kind of nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. We did miss TV a little. We enjoy watching the nightly News. However, we brought a laptop and the tiny house has great Wi-Fi so we were able to use that. It was also wonderful to walk outside at night and look up to the sky and see the most amazing amount of stars. That was a happy experience for me. The weather wasn't super cooperative because it rained more than we had anticipated. However, we did get a couple nights of perfectly clear sky to see the wonderful stars. If you are going to do the tourist stuff it's about 50 minutes to Santa fe, an hour and 45 minutes to Albuquerque, and about an hour and 30 minutes to Taos. Bandelier National Monument and Valles Caldera are also within reasonable driving distance. Because of the pandemic, most of the native American pueblo's were closed to the public. We were also able to take in a couple of the natural hot springs. We did the one near Taos named Black Rock Hot springs and one past Bandelier National Monument named San Antonio Hot springs. Be advised that the road to San Antonio is closed so you will have to hike the last 5 mi instead of drive and then hike a little bit more to the hot springs. For Black Rock you will have a couple options. If you use Google maps it will take you to the side where the hot springs are but it is a long walk down from the plateau. There's also another route that takes you down to the bridge which is a longer drive probably but a shorter hike. If you need to purchase supplies the nearest grocery store is really in Espanola, which is about 30 minutes or less away south. Toward the north in Abiquiu there are just a couple cafes, a restaurant, and the Georgia O'Keeffe museum. We didn't have much luck with Mamacita's Pizzeria as they were closed the whole time we were there. Usually they're only open on the weekends it appears. Farther to the north is Ghost Ranch and the lake. While GPS may not be perfect getting you the tiny house, if you look for the intersection of US 285 and New Mexico 554 you'll be very close.

Exactly what I imagined
I loved staying here. It was perfect for a solo stay but I don’t think it would feel crowded for two. Everything I’d want to be comfy was comfy, anything I’d want to feel sturdy (ladder, deck, etc) felt sturdy. A cross breeze kept things cool in the house even midday, but having the full sized fridge/freezer meant I could keep my water and ice packs frozen for trekking around and to the lake where it was HOT.
I thought this house was absolutely perfect and can’t wait to stay there again the next time I want to get away without being too far from home.

The best
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my stay here. I am a solo female traveler and I felt safe and comfortable at the Tiny House. It is nearby enough to the owner's house that I felt like I could get on touch with him whenever needed, but it is also very private and quiet. Harvey also has great taste and there were many unexpected luxuries at this little house, like an AllClad frying pan that cooks like a dream, high quality bath goods, high quality olive oil, and delicious freshly ground coffee. Harvey is the kindest, sweetest guy, and the location is perfect. Quiet, dreamy. Honestly, I just left earlier today and I'm already thinking about my return. Yes, it's a little dusty and you will see spiders -- it's the desert, people! But honestly, I can't imagine a better stay anywhere. Everything I was hoping for and more.

The perfect solo retreat
This tiny home is a serene getaway where the stars and mountains are your only companions. A breath of fresh air away from any stress, i specifically enjoyed sitting in the comfy chairs on the deck and reading with my fresh ground coffee that Harvey generously offered, and doing yoga in the morning sun. you can see the stars from the lofted bedroom window, i liked to leave it cracked to hear the mountain sounds. An absolutely beautiful gem, i will be returning soon i hope!
