5 acres bordered by pecan trees. Level area, cement slab, large trees on site. We have recently added gravel to the parking area. Water, septic, electricity provided. NO BATHROOM FACILITIES available, please bring your own if car camping. No human waste allowed in site trash bin. I do have septic you can connect to your RV. Quiet rural area NW of Roswell, 6 miles from downtown where you can explore alien museums and attractions. Bottomless lakes state park and Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge nearby. 70 miles from Ruidoso with hiking, bike and equestrian trails, skiing, shopping, fishing. Haystack mountain recreation area, Pecos river, rockhounding sites in vicinity. White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, Valley of Fires a short drive away.5 acres bordered by pecan trees. 6 miles from downtown Roswell. Beautiful quiet RV spot. Very clean and cozy. It was decorated for the 4th of July. Had a swing and fire pit. All utilities worked. Easy communication with Martha. Dog friendly and even had doggie bags. Green grass and picnic table. Close to our route. Easy in and out. Definitely recommend this place.

Martha is amazing and a hard worker. We’ve been driving for 2 straight nights and saw her place and reserved her beautiful peaceful spot. We forgot to ask for early check in because of tow mode brain fog!😳 She was very accommodating and thank goodness no one was there because we just showed up…First time using HipCamper and didn’t pay attention to check in time…. Thanks Martha for understanding our situation. Highly recommend!

Really cute area for camping. I loved that we had our own private area, away from the main house, with picnic table, grassy area and even a tree swing. Very easy parking for our 13 ft Scamp with electric.

Second time staying on my way through the area and really appreciate the solitude and space for the pups to run whilst I take a break from the road for a few days very convenient to Roswell if one want to explore the eclectic side of things or even the outdoors offerings in the area. Having power, dump, and water is an added benefit 🤙

At first hearing me talk about Desert Rose Stopover, my husband was skeptical, but he fell in love after realizing how private and peaceful it was. The septic connection and fenced property were the clincher for him. We extended our 1 night into 2. Extras like the swing and dog bags were very thoughtful. The dogs loved being off leash and exploring the yard. There are definitely goat heads to contend with, but we were forewarned. Directions given by Martha were easy and spot on. Communication was prompt and courteous. Thank you for a wonderful site, Martha!

I liked it so much I extended my stay. It is a private campsite, well-designed, with all services. I liked that my dog was safe and didn't have to be on a leash. Very quiet and as a solo female camper, I felt very safe. Easy drive to Roswell, Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge, and Bottomless Lakes State Park

I loved camping on Martha’s land. The full hook-ups were convenient. Additionally, the off-leash area for our dog enabled her to run off a lot of energy. The sunset was amazing, too. We will definitely stay there again if Martha will have us.

I stayed for two weeks and had a wonderful time! It’a relatively quiet, peaceful, and the sky is dark so you can stargaze. I saw the Milky Way, comet Lemmon, and a dozen shooting stars. You get to see both the sunset and sunrise. I enjoyed the swing and the ample amount of space that the site offered. You are close to town for anything you may need. And consider taking a day trip out to the mountains! I honestly did not want to leave, but I needed to get going on my roadtrip. I’ll absolutely be back here!

This spot was the perfect layover for me in Roswell. I booked last minute, and I’m so grateful that Martha was able to make it work. It’s a sweet, peaceful place—very quiet at night—with a wonderful swing that made it extra special. The site offers a full hook-up for the camper, and the privacy made it feel like my own little retreat. I couldn’t have asked for a better stop.

The more Hipcamp hosts I visit, the more I congratulate and appreciate their creativity, hard work and dedication. This is most attractive yet! Interestingly, now both of my favorite spots are in New Mexico. An acre to yourself with a green patch, grass, trees and all to be comfortable on while you enjoy your stay on your private ranch. Absolutely loved it!! I almost forgot about the two goats that were the welcoming committee.
