Overall, we had an ok experience, We appreciate the passion put into the place, and a few things that could help:
A sign that says Acorn and an arrow would help, when you enter, it is vague where to find the A Frame. Plowing out the gravel so campers have an area to turn their vehicles around instead of having to back up so far. It would be helpful to have the wood split or at least an ax provided, so we could split the wood, as we left a lot of camping gear at home under the impression these things would be provided. I would have brought more of my camping dishes as well if we knew all that was provided were wooden disposable eating utensils, and the cooking stove did not work; a simple propane cooking stove would be much more useful. I could not cook any of the food that we brought. A grate for the fire pit would be helpful for campers to cook on as well. A screen on the windows or screen door would be nice for airflow without the bugs getting in, as I am sure it gets much warmer in the summer months. The fireplace kept us cozy, and we loved watching the bald eagles.
