Welcome to Sundown RV Park and Campground, conveniently located right in the town of Grangeville. We are within walking distance of restaurants, grocery store/deli, Family Dollar Store, a department store, hospital and churches. Although a small town, Grangeville is by far the largest within an hour and a half, and has many more amenities than the smaller towns in the area. Most cell phones can get reception in Grangeville, and we have free WIFI.
As new owners we knew this little park needed some TLC and improvements so we got to work. So far we have added new gravel, signs, electrical meters, and 4 retaining walls, flower planters, and have worked hard to clean and spruce up the property.

We live on 48 acres out in the country, but only 12-15 mins from the town of Orofino. We have 5 beautiful sleeper cabins (TV's and Mini Splits) with a bathroom/shower house 10-20 feet away from cabins. Have a game area for horseshoes and archery lane! It also has a Timber framed gazebo area for hangout! The cabins sit on about 4-5 acres.
We use these cabins about 9 months out of the year, so we can only open these cabins up for summer months of June, July, August!

You drive 50 miles back into the forest (on a paved road) to get here and take the same road to leave. This cabin offers 3 bedrooms plus an open loft bedroom. Many of the gravel roads are suitable for your standard 2 wheeler drive car. If you are more adventurous 4 wheel drive will get you a little deeper into the woods. For maximum exploration bring your UTV/ATV and you can go almost anywhere. A day hike is another option, you can drive your car to one of the many gated roads/trails and hike into a pristine lake in the wilderness for a day of fishing or sightseeing. Outdoor/nature adventures abound here all you need to provide is a little adventurous spirit.

Farm life amid suburbia. Renee is a great host and the animals are delightful. The grass is clean and green, not at all a stinky mess. Fresh fruit and eggs were offered and we gratefully enjoyed them!

We absolutely loved camping at Renee's. She is a generous, kind soul. Our van pulled into large clean green grass field, with an equally clean outhouse. It was fenced between her beautiful garden and a sweet horse. Renee is a clear communicator, lives on site and provided a safe place for the night. I would recommend this spot especially to solo females.

I had the camp area to myself, and the Porta potty was the cleanest smelling, and cleanest overall, I ever experienced. It was very quiet albeit started out warm for my one night stay. It cooled down in the hours before dawn and I corrected a few things to make the next evening, in Boise, a bit more comfortable.

Wonderful spot. We will definitely be returning. Communication was consistent and clear- directions were easy to follow and the space was easy to use. The hosts were kind and helpful. Renee shared all sorts of goodies from their garden. While the space is in town, it felt private and had a nice on-the-farm feel.

A beautiful and welcoming property on the outskirts of Lewiston, ID. This is one of the most restful and pleasant HipCamp sites I’ve experienced in the last three years. With a ranch feel, including livestock of all kinds, bountiful gardens, and all the amenities you need for a peaceful and restful stay. A beautiful property...it was the perfect location for us to try our first 'boondocking' weekend. Very quiet and serene, completely off-grid. Corlene and her husband were gracious hosts. The only thing I would say is, ask Corlene or her husband where the best place is to pull in...suggested areas weren't marked and we were worried about swampy areas. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.
