Easy access from I 90 but not nearly close enough to hear it. Campsite sits 500-600 feet off a county road with a easy driveway and plenty of turn around space. It's a basically level area with several options for how to park. Large pine trees provide shade but let plenty of light through. There is filtered road noise, but the crickets and coyotes are the main thing you'll hear at night. 50 amp power is available and included. The outlet and a 50' heavy duty cord are on the corner of the house. A 30-to-50 amp converter is also there. It doesn't reach to the entire camping area so you'll need to park a bit closer to the house if using it.

We found it easy to find and close to CDA. We would love to stay again if we find ourselves in the area. Wylie was a great host and told us about the area which we enjoyed.

We really like staying at Mike and Brenda's. This time we really appreciated being able to utilize all of the large site. We decided having early afternoon shade was preferable to having the view of the river from the trailer. We got our canoe on the water and bicycled right from the site. The cattle were fun to watch as they watched us. It is so dark and quiet at the site. Wonderful.

The campsite itself is gorgeous, spacious, and secluded, with a private bathroom with running water. The road up to it is not ideal for small cars, a large portion of it is more like a quad trail than an actual road, and has some large bumps and tall plants you have to drive over, but I was able to make it up in my car with almost no issues. It ends up being a 30-45 minute drive to Coeur d’Alene. Besides the road to the campsite I loved this spot and and was one of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed at!

45 foot motorcoach -- roads easy to navigate, entrance accessible, getting situated simple with plenty of room to maneuver. Drop your toad at the top of the street. We stated a week and extended --that good! Most RV parks in the area cost $100 per night, squeezed into a cramped site, backed up against neighbors, listening to traffic from a busy street. Wylie’s property offers the complete opposite experience. You have the entire property to yourself, with an incredible view overlooking the Spokane River and plenty of room to relax, breathe, and enjoy your surroundings. Peace & Quiet all the time. Wylie is a wonderful host. Friendly, welcoming, and available when you need him, yet he gives you the space to settle in and fully enjoy the experience. Thank you Wylie for your wonderful land and hospitality. Seriously, this slice of heaven is a no brainer! Unless you like cramped RV parks. We will be back

Farragut State Park

With hundreds of individual campsites for RVs and tents, plus cabins and group camps, Farragut State Park in Coeur d’Alene Mountains boasts an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Tree to Tree is a zipline park with wild swings and treetop rope courses for adventurers ages six and up. Farragut is also home to several disc golf courses, from Little Black Bear for beginners to Cutthroat for more experienced players. After a day in the trees, park at one of the many RV campsites in Farragut that have water and electricity hookups, plus shared showers with modern restrooms.

Heyburn State Park

The oldest state park in the Pacific Northwest, Heyburn State Park features Chatcolet, Benewah, and Hidden Lakes for terrific fishing, boating, and water sports. The meandering St. Joe River is another option for kayaking or canoeing past towering Ponderosa pine trees and flower-filled meadows. Spend the night amongst the trees at cottage and cabin rentals that offer comfortable amenities like furnished kitchens, charcoal grills, and outdoor picnic tables.
