Learn more about this land: R3 is a rustic studio/cabin located in a private corner of our half acre property, walking distance to historic Nevada City, CA. From its humble beginnings as a simple camping platform, R3 is now fully enclosed with a stunning glass front wall which preserves the great view from the site. A small kitchen area and bathroom with flush toilet and shower complete a private and cozy space. There is much local history and many cultural activities to enjoy in Nevada County. Outdoor pursuits include hiking, road and mountain biking, river and lake access, skiing, and many more, all nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills. Nevada City, and it's sister town, Grass Valley, are Gold Rush Victorian gems, boasting a variety of shopping venues, many fine eateries, and eclectic "watering holes" featuring craft brews, local wines and tasty cocktails. Live music in many locations adds an upbeat and lively ambiance. Unwind with a day at the river or lake, take a road or mountain bike ride, or a hike on one of the many local trails.In addition to the 12x16 cabin there is a small porch, picnic table, and hammock for guests to use. A charcoal BBQ is available when there is no fire ban in effect. Parking is available for no more than 2 cars.

Another wonderful stay! I might have just count how many times I e been back, and it is truly so peaceful and serene. Lots of rest and time to myself to just cook and read and be. Hope to get back before rainy season! It was so cute set up for summer outside!

Lovely Cabin Getaway
We had a lovely time. Russ and Kim provided a pamphlet with their recommendations on places to eat and visit - one of them being Lika's Quarter Cafe. It was great to have some ideas being it was our first time visiting Nevada City. The town is super dog friendly and we loved it. We definitely over packed because their cabin had everything we needed - towels, bed, blanket, hammock, picnic table and lawn chairs. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for having us!

My favorite Hipcamp I have stayed at. Russ and Kim were so welcoming. Their site was exactly as pictured and even better than the photos. We had such a great time and definitely will be back!

My partner and I loved the mini cabin and Nevada City! Everyone was very sweet and the hikes around are not too challenging. A wonderful place to relax and explore. 10/10

A lovely basecamp for anything Yuba. Close to Nevada City downtown for a lil shopping or food. Cozy interior, kind hosts. Easy to recommend.
