Overall it was an okay experience. I realize we have no control over nature and what not, but we couldn’t even cook any food cause we were swarmed by wasps. Nick is super communicative and helpful, he did try to set up a string of traps it was just not enough to enjoy any food or drinks outside. We ultimately placed an order for easy up netting from Walmart and drove down to get them to enjoy one dinner outside. Other than that, the creek and the peacocks were beautiful. Last thought, we really appreciate the motion sensor light in the porta potty, would have been a little nice if we had an emptied potty. We used make shift masks to potty since it was a tad overwhelmingly stinky.

Perfect site for us!
We had super fun 3 days. There were 6 of us and 2 little ones; we had 2 tents, a trailer and so much room. I’ve never had such a big site! It was beautiful with maple trees and many others, lots of shade and right next to the stream. We love it! We were a little concerned when we arrived to find many flying - what we thought were bees, around the camp table. Turns out they weren’t, didn’t sting or bite and were mostly attracted to meat. Once we cleaned the picnic table they left. After eating we would move our dishes away from the table and wash farther away. Nick was a good host and helped us switch sites to accommodate our trailer. I would definitely stay again.

This was overall a really nice trip and beautiful campsite. It was a little confusing to find the site at first but we eventually figured it out it wasn’t too hard but I think adding signage for each campsite would make things a lot easier. When we arrived there was dog poop that wasn’t cleaned from past campers which wasn’t a great first impression but nothing that would ruin our trip. The port potty was clean which was really nice and really thoughtful to add a motion sensor light so you don’t necessarily need to look for a flashlight in the middle of the night. I didn’t think we would have any running water so I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a right next to the charcoal grill. Only a few minute drive to the Santa Paula punch bowls. Would definitely stay here again

Beautiful little getaway, loved the creek right next to the site. only a short drive from ojai and some beautiful views! unfortunately there were lots of wasps, there might be a nest nearby. in the morning I was woken up from loud cars going by, but the creek drowns out most of the sound, especially at night with all the crickets. owner was super nice, and santa paula is a cute little town! overall a very lovely campsite! thanks for a wonderful stay <3

First time using hipcamp and the site was as expected! Lots of flat land for a bigger tent as well. Toilet was very clean which was very surprising for a porta potty!
