These beloved woods are the remaining part of the once vast, Patrick homestead-started soon after the Revolutionary War. Our family ties and our roots grow very deeply along this river and these woods-we've been born and raised here and continue to strive to be good stewards of these lands.
Pristine woods, trails, river access, and more! Located in the heart of the Appalachian and on the bank of the Upper Cumberland River.
A truly tranquil place to enjoy exclusively, or to use as a basecamp for the unlimited adventures possible in this scenic area. Welcome and enjoy!
Patrick's Point River Camp offers a serene retreat along the Cumberland River, providing campers with clean facilities, beautiful landscapes, and a welcoming atmosphere. The hosts, Patrick and Angelica, are praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, making guests feel at home. The site features a variety of accommodations and activities, including hiking, canoeing, and exploring waterfalls. Visitors highlight the peaceful environment, abundant wildlife, and the opportunity to unwind in nature.
We had a fantastic stay! Patrick was an incredible host—warm, welcoming, and full of helpful tips. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a family getaway. We especially loved exploring the Hero Trail with our little one—he had the best time adventuring through the woods. It was a memorable experience for all of us. If we find ourselves in Kentucky again, this spot will definitely be at the top of our list. Highly recommend!
My family and I loved the time we spent here! Our hosts were so warm and welcoming. The kids enjoyed the super hero trail, gemstone mining, and fishing in the pond. Our 3 year old caught her first fish! We made some wonderful family memories and look forward to visiting here again!
Great escape into a haven of beauty. Truly the hosts hospitality is a gift. Gentle natured and strong spirited, my kind of folks. I'm very thankful you share your slice of heaven. Can't wait to visit again. The river, the trails, the hosts ...perfection!
Fantastic! I always love coming to stay here… It’s the high point of every summer since I discovered the place. Great people, super friendly… By far my favorite place to camp.
The property was beautiful quiet and peaceful beautiful views of wildlife the Cumberland River and the structures on the property. The Host s were very nice people made you feel like you were at home.
Amazing time! 10/10!! Very cool laidback vibe. Owners are so friendly and kind and helpful. I was there solo for one night. Met fellow campers who took me to a waterfall right on the property! I will be going back for a longer stay. 🏕️
I stayed in the river shack shelter and loved every second. Patrick the host said he was bringing in the owls that night. It was incredible. There were owls calling and landing in the trees all around us for hours. The view of the river and the sounds of wildlife were exactly what I was looking for. I had total privacy in the shelter and no one was camped near me. The property was gorgeous and there was even a waterfall to explore. I can't wait to go back again and again. I plan to stay in all of their different cabins and hope to check out their 3 mile hiking trail in the future. Patricks Point River Camp is a great place to visit.
Patrick and Angelica were very sweet and welcoming, the place was clean and they had clean bathrooms and showers as well! I was parked along the creek and it was a peaceful and beautiful campsite! Will definitely be returning in the future!
Book it. You won’t regret it! We the river shack, and it was better than we imagined. There was space for a full sized mattress on the ground (could do a queen, too I’m sure), and there were two bunks inside that we used as shelving. Fire pit had a stove-table that you could place on the fire for cooking. The breakfast was awesome! Straight from their farm! Very kind people, very relaxed campsite. Loved it!
We had a beautiful spot on the river. Loved all the hiking trails! The hosts were super-nice and very helpful when we ran into unexpected problems with our rig. We arrived as guests& left as friends.
We had a awesome stay Patrick was very nice and friendly and welcomed us and ask us all the time we were there if we needed anything. Told us about the area and and we're to visit.
The camping area was very quiet and beautiful view and surrounding differently recommended this spot to anybody.
Thank you for your hospitality
The campgrounds were absolutely gorgeous, and we had a phenomenal time. Angelica was very kind and welcoming, and Patrick was an absolute treasure of a person. Very excited to go back next season!
We went tent camping on the off-grid site for one night, and it was pretty much ideal! Plenty of firewood, we were able to find a couple good flat spots to put our tent, and the river/waterfall area are just a short hike and well worth checking out. Host was super friendly as well. Would definitely recommend!!
The campsite was beautiful! Right on the Cumberland River! The hosts went above and beyond to help us during unfortunate circumstances that left our camping equipment 5 hours behind us!! Beautiful land and beautiful people! We will be back!
Excellent camp facility. Beautiful location on the river. Host was welcoming and attentive. Would recommend for any type of camping even group bookings would have plenty of room
We loved camping here so much! Patrick and Angelica are wonderful hosts. The land is a gorgeous stretch right along the river, with forests across the water. No road noise!
The bathrooms were very clean, and the tent site was spacious. We didn't have any neighbors but if we did there still would have been space enough to feel secluded. The pavilion is huge and has covered areas with several hammocks. Also a great place to escape the rain if you're tent camping! We will definitely be back, and plan to bring friends to group camp.
This site and these hosts deserve all the credit and positive reviews. Everything surpassed our expectations. We were greeted by Angelica upon arrival at the check-in barn. She was so helpful and was kind enough to accept an impromptu breakfast platter for early the next morning (biscuits and gravy and eggs and sausage and bacon and coffee!!) Her husband graciously led us to our site. He was so imformative regarding the area and helped us discover some absolutely wonderful sights on seldom traveled trails. A really cool couple!
We stayed at a primitive site by the river and were in our own private, beautiful paradise. The area was clean and quiet and I was in a nature induced daze till we left Patricks Point.
Usually a 1 night camp site feels like more stress than its worth. This overnight was worth it and I am grateful for the experience. Need to find a way to add more of a tip for that breakfast!
Camp here and respect this beautiful property and it's hosts.
Zero complaints! Only good things to say. Very secluded, primitive, open, and exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of hiking trails and beautiful views! Patrick greeted us at the Kentucky Barn and started our trip off on the best foot possible—warm, welcoming, and helpful! Highly highly recommend!!
The two host of this gem of a campground are great , fantastic and awesome! They would love to share the small features of each little area of the campground and encourage you to explore. We was the only one in river side primitive and it was so fantastic. The view of the river and the area for the dogs to run around and explore was GREAT! Will go back to camp or even do a canoe trip in the future ! Thank you two special people very much.
* no cell service but it's a hit and miss by the cumberland bridge about 2ish miles from the campground .
