Gray Hills is a primitive escape for families, friends, and solo wanderers alike—designed to quiet the chaos, steady the soul, and focus on what truly counts. Our sites are surrounded by rolling hills, quiet woods, and big skies. Choose your experience: Pondside – Camp by the water where frogs sing at dusk and mist rises at dawn. Ideal for fishing, relaxing, or spotting wildlife. Bring your own kayak or rent one on site (availability varies). Hilltop – Secluded, breezy, and wide-open, with stunning sunrise and sunset views. Feels like the edge of the world. All sites are primitive—no hookups, no concrete, just fire pits, natural trails, and the kind of peace that gets into your bones. Our dirt roads are a little bumpy to keep speeds safe. The campsites, trails, and key spots are kept cleared—the rest stays wild for the deer, turkey, and everything else that lives here (yes, bugs too—bring repellent!). Choose a tucked-away spot beneath the trees for shade and shelter, or pitch your tent under the open sky for stargazing, or share the space with a friend — there’s room for 2 vehicles and 2 tents. Site Features: -Fully secluded with panoramic views -Fire pit included -Multiple pitch options: shaded, open sky, or shared setup -4-wheel drive required — steep access -Cell signal is available on the Hilltop, if you really need it This site is ideal for seasoned campers, off-road lovers, and anyone looking to get completely off-grid. The Hilltop doesn’t just offer a place to camp — it offers space to breathe. Important: Access requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Passenger vehicles only - no RVs or campers. The road up is steep — not for the faint of heart. But those who make the climb are rewarded with unmatched views, star-filled skies, and the peaceful serenity of high ground.
