Twisted Tree Camp s a 13 acre property about 5 miles north of Long Beach, Washington. The property is long and skinny, we have built road that accesses the back of the property. The campsite is in the middle of the woods, you can wake up to many birds singing and no neighbors in sight. In the evening you can listen to the frogs singing while you stare at th campfire. The road winds thru the trees and this is not suitable for vehicles longer than 23 feet or wider than 8 feet. There are multiple twisted trees along the road as you drive in to the campsite. We have recently built the road to the campsite at the back of the land so there is still evidence of recent construction along the road. There are two cameras on site - one at the entrance along Pacific Way and one by the campsite at the end of the road. Cameras are there to monitor the site after hipcampers have left and will not be on while campers have rented the space. Nearby there is SnowPeak Campfield that has a sauna and hot tub. There are many restaurants and public beaches to experience. During the summer there are numerous events like the kite festival, sandcastle festival, Rod Run and others.

This wilderness campsite is located down a 2-mile gravel logging road which is steep and bumpy in a few places! As a guest, you are free to access any part of the 220-acre property except other campsites (there is currently only one). This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay. The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming. This land is a nature preserve with lots of wildlife. You're welcome to bring your pet, but keep small animals close to you as there are coyotes and predatory birds in abundance. Black bears and mountain lions also live in the hills, so please always be cautious while hiking and exploring. If you use AT-T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind. Most important of all, relax and enjoy your stay in this incredibly peaceful and secluded valley. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints!

Weekend Trip to The Sand G.O.A.T.

A beautiful space to spend a few days! This fairly easy to find spot was quiet, peaceful and relatively private since the road next to it is rarely used. I think we saw a dozen cars at most each day… we felt very comfortable walking our dogs along the road. There are plenty of trees to keep the forest vibes and the ocean waves lay down a perfect background for the plentiful bird songs. It’s not far from the beach and basic needs like groceries. It’s a little drive to get down to the town of Long Beach (about 20 minutes) but we were there to experience mother nature more than ice cream shops and clever t-shirts 😁 Long Beach really is quite charming… I’m being funny. Our hosts were kind, responsive, and have the 2 sites set up in a way that is really simple to navigate. We will definitely come back!

Campsites were clean and bathrooms were as well-well stocked too. Great covered area to do dishes and bbq, campfire wood (free!!) available and communal fire pits. There’s a cafe coming soon but the coffee shop is great. We used the wetsuit drying room and it was awesome to have dry gear in the morning. Staff was really nice as well. Can’t wait to come back!

I had a great experience camping with the host. Despite my later arrival, they were there to greet and orient me to the camp, and even to provide some additional lighting if I needed it. While I was really only there for sleep in the evenings everything I saw was well set-up, and I look forward to a longer experience camping there with my family!

Goachella was a wonderful site and we absolutely loved our stay! The location was easy to find, the site was exactly as described, and the hosts were very welcoming. It’s a beautiful location among the tall trees and you can drift off to sleep hearing the distant ocean waves. The site was level and so easy for us to get in and out of with our truck camper. When to go

For the ideal Pacific Pines State Park experience, visit during the summer months from April to September when the park is open from 8am to dusk. Winter visits are not possible, as the park closes from October 1st to March 31st, ensuring the preservation of its natural beauty.
