This site was clean and beautiful. Although it's close to the metro area, it feels like you're much further away. That makes it convenient to get to, while still getting to unplug and relax. We even found a nice little jar of jam at the picnic table.

Spent a day in in my sprinter and ended up in Stillwater for dinner. I decided to spend the night at George’s site. He answered my Hipcamp request immediately and was very accommodating.
Arrived after dark with easy access to quality firewood, a private and quiet spot and a jar of amazing Honeyberry jelly! George was also quick with a text to make sure we had what we needed and just a quick check in.
Woke up to a beautiful walk with my coffee around George’s farm.
Can’t recommend this spot more if you are looking for a great overnight spot close to Stillwater.

This was a last minute visit, and a pleasant surprise to find a campsite so close to Stillwater with privacy and wooded grounds for a fall walk. Our host was responsive to our questions. Would happily visit here again.

We used the site as a place to park our rig while we spent a week in Minneapolis, so we did not camp there. However, the host is excellent with great communication. He has an interesting berry farm on site. Worked well for us!

We stayed in 1a site and it was splendid. The site was level and partially gravel, next to the pole barn. We enjoyed walking the mowed paths and looking at the extensive gardens. We plugged our camper in. Highly recommended. So close to Hudson, Stillwater, and St. Paul.

Wonderful Haskap berries and Jelly to love and learn about. Beautiful green grounds and grassy trails. Walking trail at night surrounded by fireflies. Quiet…. Electric power for our rv. Easy access and leveling. George was around if needed . Dry firewood. Do bring your favorite bug repellent.

We stayed in the non-power site 1b and it’s a beautiful private site in the woods. 1a is next to a barn where the power is, so if you opt for that you won’t have the woods completely around you like 1b, but it has a nice view on the open side. Our site was fairly level and easy for us to get our 30’ Airstream into, but you do need to know how to back. If you’re not comfortable backing, the 1a site would be easy to use. The 1b site and the way to it is grass so after heavy rain the ground can get soft and you’d want to have 4WD. Without rain I’m sure 2WD would be fine. There was major construction on the main road to the property during our stay, so that adds a bit of time coming and going, but it looks like they will soon transfer traffic to the new portion of road and that will make access much easier. At the time of our visit you need to take the road in pretty slowly when you’re towing as there are many rough areas.
Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again if we were in need of a site in the area. The gift of jam was a nice bonus!

This is a beautiful, quiet and serene property! Communication with George was wonderful; he even came to our campsite and brought us a jar of homemade jelly. We chose to stay in 2B which was up on top of a hill with no one around. There was a picnic table, bench and firepit (plus wood) for our use. We also had a clear view of the Northern lights which was amazing! Thanks George, we will be back!

Very nice place close to everything but you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. The sites are spread apart and have places to sit and a fire ring. Host was very accommodating and told us a little about the things he grows on the property and gave us some jelly from those crops.
We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Lovely setting, very close to Stillwater, Afton State Park and Lake Elmo Park Reserve. It is an excellent jumping off point for great hiking, dining and shopping. We were able to fill our fresh water tank on site. The free firewood was a nice and and the jar of jam was delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property. George was communicative and helpful. We loved having firewood included and made use of the awesome fire pit on a beautiful and chilly night.
This place feels isolated, yet it’s so close to Stillwater and other conveniences.

This was a delightful hip campsite. The property is beautifully maintained with lots of paths to walk, and an amazing farm to stroll through, and to buy vegetables from. George gifted me some of his honey berry jam from the orchard on the property. He was a very gracious and kind host, and it was hard to leave such a peaceful spot. Really enjoyed my stay and got to see Stillwater, Hudson, and Minneapolis - St. Paul from here.

Nice private camping site for old hippies.
At $35 per night it is higher than other places but well worth it. There are outhouses and firewood is included. Mowed walking trails are a big bonus.

I would love to go back and very likely will. Very nice guy and a lovely place.
Great location. I got to watch thunderstorms blow in from the East on Thursday night and then again from the West on Friday night. Really good firewood and nice views and walking. Just what the doctor ordered 🤗

We enjoyed the peacful camping! The site was very level for our travel trailer. Wonderful hosts and delicious jam made from their berries!. Great experience! Would recommend and camp there again.

George’s farm is tucked inside the Twin Cities Metro on the east side with easy access on and off I-94, 694 and 494.
It is ideal for someone coming in from Wisconsin to put someone on a plane in the AM from MSP Airport - about a 20 minute drive. (We left at 7 AM and arrived 7:20) !

We stayed in site up by the fields. Large area with grass. Had a jar of jam waiting for us on the picnic table. Close to Stillwater. This was our first Hipcamp site and was a great experience. Only ones on the property camping this weekend. Enjoyed the free firewood and trails. Would definitely come again!
