The trail around the property was a perfect morning stroll. The cabin is clean and comfortable. No musty or earthy smells at all! They have TWO full binders of activities and suggestions. They are incredibly thoughtful hosts with an adorable camp store. We can’t wait to come back again!

The location was relatively easy to find, the lit pathway is unique, and there is a wagon to transport your belongings to the cabin. Upon my arrival, I noticed the home of the owner was much closer than I anticipated in the pictures. I was happy to see in the back of the unit they had a cozy fire area and had screened off the view to their home offering privacy. When I entered the unit I was struck with the intense smell of feces. I knew there was a composting toilet (Ive stayed at other locations with a composting toilet), and thought maybe there was a problem. I investigated and saw there was not a problem and thought maybe if I opened the window and aired the place out it would improve. I had made 3 trips with the wagon and was hoping I could just settle in and the smell would dissipate. As the night went on it became very apparent that I could not sleep in the bed which was in the same area as the composting toilet and the wall heater. I briefly used the gas wall heater for 10 min to take the chill off the place and decided to sleep on the couch with my own belongings and speak with the hosts the next day. Upon waking the next morning, my chest hurt, my throat was swollen, my eyes were swollen, I was nauseous, I had a terrible headache, and felt very dizzy upon standing. I knew I had to leave. I stepped outside to get some fresh air and while sitting outside for a bit felt less dizzy. I knew then something inside made me ill.

It was a wonderful and peaceful overnight at The Crow's Nest and Sheila was an attentive and gracious host. Beautiful trails, deer and other wildlife in a private woods of 20 acres. Our cabin was comfortable, very cute, well stocked with necessities, and private. Had everything we needed. Highly recommend. 5 star!

We absolutly will be back! What a great experience sleeping in a wigwam! I loved the touches Sheila made on this little piece of beautiful earth! The outhouse was the cutest. As soon as we got to camp, a group of deer ran away. We had 2 fawns approach our camp in the morning. We had to walk a bit to get back to the site, but she had a wagon available. As we were leaving, we meet the cat, violet as We talked a bit about life. Thank you so much for a little peace and quiet!

We enjoyed our stay! Shiela was kind and easy to communicate with. A relaxed environment and bonfire after a day on the river made for an excellent evening, and walking the property’s woodland trail gave our morning a peaceful start. Thanks again 👌🏼

I absolutely love this place! The cabin is set back in a beautiful forrest and is perfect! Shelia has the cabin equip with everything you need; from activities, a microwave, to even lotion for your hands! The best part is the back yard! You have your own personal bug free tent to chill in, fire pit, picnic tables, a hammock and grill! They also have a cute “store” for souvenirs, books and food items to purchase. Shelia is the most kind, welcoming, pleasant person you would want in a host! My boys and I have been going here for the past 3 years. We always miss it when we leave!

Sheila and Jeff’s wigwam was beautiful! They take such care of their land and go the extra length to make sure you’re comfortable. I arrived after dark and really appreciated the lamp left on, and the running fan for extra comfort. The warm shower was such a lovely and welcomed thing after a long two days of travel. AND I was prepared for major bugs, but coming from Canada, the one or two mosquitos I saw felt like no problem! This is a gem of a place.

I was a bit apprehensive about booking the wigwaam but once we arrived I was super pleased! Sheila and Jeff greeted us and we're so welcoming and kind. They showed us around and chatted and made us feel comfortable and welcomed on their property. The wigwaam was much bigger on the inside than I expected, I loved laying inside on the rainy days and listening to the rain hit the roof. Just a very serene, calming experience.

This was our second time staying at The Crows Nest and it was just as magical as the first time. Sheila and Jeff have a beautiful little cabin with AC, a heater, an indoor toilet and shower, and running water. Outside they have a fire pit, corn hole, a hammock, a seating area with netting to keep bugs out, a beautiful little trail, and a creek with (at least) five different types of fish! Everything is decorated beautifully, and Sheila and Jeff are so generous, making everything you could need available to you! The wildlife is so comfortable on their property because they take wonderful care of them. This trip, we saw turkey, a doe (about 15 feet from us), a woodpecker, many frogs, chipmunks, bats (at the creek), butterflies, and their adorable cat! It is a wonderful spot with so much to see and do. I would highly recommend The Crows Nest to anyone who enjoys and respects nature and needs a peaceful spot to stay.
Also, Sheila and Jeff decorated our cabin for our anniversary which was so thoughtful! They are amazing hosts!

Better than advertised. I thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in the wigwam and having get hanging right outside multiple times. Bathroom was very clean as well as everything else. Very kind hosts that have us what ever space we wanted. Will be staying again.

We loved staying in the Wigwam at Sheila’s place!
We felt so close to nature, the set up was beautiful and very convenient. Our host Shelia was very kind & sweet, she made sure our stay there was enjoyable. She accommodated and went out of her way to ensure our stay was memorable! Also loved that there was a shower and a bathroom at the site!
I would definitely recommend this place, 10/10 we will be back! ☺️

Such an amazing place! The cabin itself was great, good space, comfortable bed and a lot of appliances. The land is great too, scenery is really nice, there’s nice short trails, and we saw some deers. It also isn’t too far away from grocery stores and restaurants. The hosts were also very nice and generous. 10/10 place, would definitely tell others about it and think about booking it again!

We really enjoyed camping at this property! The upkeep was excellent and had everything we needed without feeling like we were at a hotel. We were still in the woods and it was beautiful!

The quiet stillness early in the morning is one of my favorite times at The Crow's Nest. It's an amazing place to unwind and not think, but still have the simple comforts of home. If you want a true oasis of peace and nature, visit The Crow's Nest. You won't be disappointed...and you will want to come back again and again. Just like me:)

A very nice, cozy little cabin and great amenities for the price. Loads of land, cute little garden, and although we just barely missed the mushrooms, there is apparently always a good crop- Must come earlier next year.
A bit of user error on our part because we thought there was nothing to cover the sliding glass doors on either side of the cabin, so we put up sheets…only to discover when we left that there were shutters on the outside all along! Just a tip for anyone as unobservant as as ourselves lol.
Sheila was extremely friendly and helpful, and directed us to several places in the area. We also enjoyed the little store on the property. We didn’t need to buy anything, but it would be useful if we had forgotten anything.
