This redwood grove on the banks of the Van Duzen River is a tiny treat. Grizzly only covers one square mile but contains the famed Cheatham Grove. The grove starred in Return of the Jedi's iconic scooter chase scene. You might find a Star Wars fan or two hanging out whenever you arrive.
The park's small size means there's not too much in the way of hiking trails. The warm summer months average around 75 degrees and are perfect for camping, though. Only 30 campground sites are available, so it's great for campers who value privacy.
With the Van Duzen River bordering the camp, there are options on the water as well. Canoeing, kayaking, and swimming are all popular pastimes for visitors.
