My husband and I and our Australian cattledog enjoyed staying in Henry's cozy backyard yurt! It literally is in the backyard, enclosed by colorful tapestries and faux camo, and its own little gate (no lock, sways open, closed). We had our own "secluded" space! There was a double bed (described by another review as a queen), space heater, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, an awesome massage chair, Roku, and complimentary snacks. The bathroom and separate shower are located in the main house, occupied by the host. The house also has a couple of guestrooms offered on airbnb. We had full access to the kitchen and Henry even made breakfast a couple of times for his guests (there was also a couple staying in an airbnb room). We felt awkward going into the house at first, but quickly got over it because Henry is so welcoming and the place was exquisite: modern, luxurious, comfy, and very clean.
Parking is in the driveway, in spaces specifically allocated for guests, and the entrance to the fenced backyard is gated. The gridded neighborhood is pretty much a redwood forest with houses!
To consider: the space is listed for two and the bed is a double. I'm 6' and 225 lbs, and my head and feet were at the edges of the bed. The husband is 5'11" and we love each other dearly, but we opted to sleep separately (we had previously been camping so had our inflatable mattress with us that fit nicely in the yurt). No big deal at all for us!

Henry’s glam- camp is unique and well appointed with many thoughtful conveniences. The tent is large and stocked with everything you might need. The queen bed is very comfortable and there are enough blankets and a comforter for the cool Eureka nights. The outdoor area is spacious as well. We had access to the immaculately clean and well stocked bathrooms, and appreciated being able to use the laundry during our stay. Henry has gone above and beyond to make his guests comfortable., and we recommend this place to anyone who wants a unique and comfortable lodging experience.

Loved our stay here! Henry is a wonderful host: very thoughtful, responsive, and provides a lovely space. The large tent/yurt is situated in his backyard in town. There is some street noise, but didnt find it too disturbing. There is a lot of outdoor grassy space for kids or a dog. We brought our dog. The bathroom is located in the house and Henry communicated all there was to know very well. We enjoyed watching a movie on the pulldown screen. The bed was comfy and I recommend this stay for anyone looking for a comfy and cozy spot in Eureka. Thanks again!

We loved staying at Henry’s! He was so kind and generous, with thoughtful touches all throughout. The dog loved the yard and my best friend and I enjoyed that we were in a quiet space that was still super close to tons of beautiful places in Humboldt. Thanks, Henry!

Very cute and comfy place with all the utilities you need. Convenient location within the town of Eureka, yet still peaceful and quiet in a natural setting. The host seems very caring and chill too. 100% recommend!

Henry provided a private and comfortable tent setting for our brief stay in Eureka. The tent was well stocked with everything a guest could want or need (the back massager was fantastic!). The bed was comfy and the bathrooms were exceptional. Guest should be prepared that they do need to go into Henry's personal house to use the bathrooms. We didn't meet Henry, but wish we had the chance to so we could thank him in person :-)

Henry was such a thoughtful host and his place had everything we needed and more! We watched a movie on the projector and had hot chocolate, which felt like such a treat 💕 We were able to cook a little with the pots, hot plate, and utensils provided as well. The heater kept us nice and warm and we were able to charge our devices as well! The indoor bathrooms were spotless and easy to access. Overall definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Great little get away. Henry was amazing with the snacks he left and the breakfast that was left for us to prepare. Half tempted to leave a bad review to guarantee a vacancy next time I want to book. Great spot for the price.

This was a perfect gem in town and made to feel like a private little retreat. Henry was the most amazing host, having thought of every comfort his guests might want. The glamping tent had so many thoughtful touches, and Henry went above and beyond with breakfast and snack offerings, welcome treats and a note, detailed instructions on everything, and a fantastic dinner recommendation.
12 stars out of 10. Definitely pick this place when you are in the area! We loved it!

I booked this last minute for my daughter, who is 2.5 years old, my 1.5 years old goldendoodle, and myself. My daughter was so excited for the new creative environment. Her words, "this is amazing!!" It is obvious that the host is passionate about hosting - we felt so welcome and supported. We loved the fresh grass and we had a lot of fun playing games and hanging out and resting in the sun. Coffee available in the tent, and milk and OJ, breakfast in the kitchen and tent has the perfect selection of snacks upon arrival. I almost missed the view in the backyard into the valley of trees through one of the tent windows. This is perfect if you want to explore the zoo and eat yummy food close by. We enjoyed lots of pasta and salad bar nearby at Babes. I could go on and on.. you'll have to discover it for yourself. Side Note: The bed is not very long, so I wouldn't recommend for taller friends, like my husband who is 6"4. I also utilized the earplugs that were provided - as I'm a light sleeper and some vehicles drive fast on the mains street.

My boyfriend and I loved staying at Henry’s glamping tent!! Henry went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, down to leaving hot water readily available for tea when we arrived. He provides snacks and extensive directions for using all of the appliances. The bed was comfy and the entire experience was cozy. Only thing that was minor inconvenience was the bathroom and shower were inside the house. But otherwise, all amazing!

This was a fantastic experience. The host paid more attention to this backyard camping site, then I have seen at expensive Airbnb places. Everything one might need for such an experience was available, from robes and mints on the bed, to kitchen appliances, utensils and dining table, coffee, hot water, drinking water.. Somehow all magically fit inside the tent. The seating outside the tent, screened off from rest of the backyard was also great. Only "inconvenience" was having to use the nice bathroom and shower inside the house, but compared to a typical campsite experience (even the Glamping ones), this was a much better option IMO. Easy check-in, easy parking, friendly hosts. Would highly recommend and would book again if I am in the area.

I would give the host a 5 star rating. We are an older couple, in our 70s, and having a bathroom and shower inside the house on the second floor was a little inconvenient. Otherwise, the set up was charming and the yard great for our dog.

My girlfriend and I loved staying here. Henry was a super nice host! The tent was so cozy and directions to it and the bathrooms were very easy to follow. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to relax amongst the redwoods here!
