!!UPDATE APRIL 2026! We experienced massive flooding at our campsite due to rain and snowmelt on April 15, 2026. We also sustained large tree loss on the property due to an ice storm in early April. Due to this, the area beyond the main campsite is UNAVAILABLE until further notice. That includes the walking trail and swimming area. Main campsite area including fire pit and fishing hole are open. Swimming at the main site is available, but highly recommend water shoes or Crocs due to rocks.

This unique riverside retreat is located on the shores of the Plover River, on a dam remnant behind a former working mill. Campers will enjoy a park-like atmosphere with numerous benches, stone fire pits, and hidden trails among riverside, grassy, and forested areas. It's an ideal location to fish, kayak, or enjoy a 20-minute float from the dam to the Sharonwood bridge. Site 3 – Boardwalk Trail Site
The wooded Boardwalk Trail opens to secluded grassy site ideal for tent or hammock camping. A stone fire pit is included.

Riley Crest Farm is located in Amherst, Wisconsin. Close to Hartman Creek St Park, on the north side of Hwy 54. We are diversified farm. We have a small herd of dairy cows, 50 dairy/meat goats, a horse named Willow and mule named Molly, a couple pigs or chickens in the summer, lots of cats. We specialize in goats for meat. Grazing girls roam 30 acres of pasture close to camping. Our goats are very friendly. We are currently not milking goats. We sell eggs and meat from our farm store.
We have a spring fed 3 acre pond to paddle around if the water level is high enough. Swimming not recommended. Primitive tent and camper sites available. We welcome horses, bring your own fence. Trails on farm for walking or riding and close to Hartman Creek State Park trails. Dogs are okay, but must be on a leash for the safety of our livestock. Our on site camper offers a bathroom, no shower. Gas generator to run electricity is included for lights and basic appliances. Bring your own water containers, available to fill at the farm. We can accommodate larger groups. You can book the whole site for private setting too. Welcome to the farm!

A private sanctuary with 30 acres located just north of Waupaca's Chain O' Lakes with groomed hiking and/or biking trails. Terrain is varied with ponds, hills, and valleys. Shower, potable water, and rec room available.
PLEASE NOTE with heavy rain all wheel drive (AWD) is needed to park next to your site. If you don't have AWD, there's parking by the rec room. We can transport you to your site if there are issues.

The forest has grown back, the tornado damage mostly cleaned up, I'm currently working helping to reestablish native plants. Adjacent to county forest land this land is teeming with life and has an almost supernatural feel to it at night...in fact, if your lucky you might see the dancing purple lights that have appeared from time to time. Tents can camp anywheres on the property, RV's must stay at designated sites. Farm is 3 acres field, the rest forest and wetlands with a small creek running through. The property is part of the Harrison-Hewitt county forest. It is a few short miles from the Eau Claire Dells, and only a mile or so from the Plover River Fishery, Springbrook(Trout fishing and kayak accessible) the Ice Age Trail. It is 5 miles from WI Hwy 45 which is on the way to many points in the WI & upper MI Northwoods. Its 25 miles from Granite Peak Ski area. We have all sorts of wildlife; loons, turkey, grouse, foxes, red squirrels, wolves, black bear, a cougar, whitetail deer plus woodpeckers, plovers and songbirds and more.

The site was absolutely gorgeous! The bread and jelly are delicious as well! Katie obviously has some experience being outdoors, and had a very accommodating experience for any type of camper. The toilet was very clean and well stocked! The dam and surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous, and the pike are insanely aggressive to the rapallas I was using! I must’ve caught at least 15-20 from the shore on the first day!

Area was big enough for my wrangler and 6 foot trailer, plus maybe a car.
Road to site is steep in parts, but I have a 4x4 so no worries.
Site also has a small plateau that would fit an additional small tent. Would guess 4 could feel comfy.
Another camp site (4?) sits 50 yards from this site and is very visible. Would be great for a separate tent making the two sites (4&5) together a little group thing (6). Otherwise check to see if the small site is booked and maybe grab site 2 or 7.
Majestic clubhouse on site, with a stocked bar if I remember correctly.
Showers, kayak, firewood, and portapotties around and accessible.

Weekend Trip to Clear Water Camp
The campsites were absolutely awesome and very easy to get to. The hosts were fantastic and went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. We really appreciated all the amenities provided, like garbage bags at the site, fire starters, and firewood available right there — with plenty more for sale if you want to have a big bonfire at night.
One of the coolest parts was learning about all the amazing fishing opportunities nearby, and we’re already planning to come back in the future to try them out. The clubhouse was also a huge bonus and really added to the overall experience.
This was actually my first time using the Hipcamp app, and this stay completely exceeded expectations. Overall, an outstanding campground and we’re definitely looking forward to coming back!

We absolutely LOVED this place! Michael is our people, our tribe. We knew as soon as we pulled up and the way he greated us, we were home for the next 2 nights. There is so much to do and enjoy. There are swings, hammocks, chairs, and fire pits all over the property to enjoy during your stay and we were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves. We played lawn darts, there is volleyball, you can kayak and tube right from the hipcamp. There is even an energy bell to release energy that we loved using. If your modern day hippies like our family and want to commute with nature or just want a peaceful beautiful unique place to camp, you need to come here. You will love it. We stayed right by the river and having the sound all night was wonderful. YOU NEED TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! We will be back soon to enjoy the kayaking and tubing and to see all the flowers that will be in bloom. Thank you Michael!!!

Pretty spot along the river. Access to kayaking and tubing during warm weather. Michael was a friendly host. Good privacy between sites. One heads up, Google maps will tell you that you’ve arrived, but you’ll need to go just a little further before you see the red building.

We had such a wonderful time at Riverside Roost! The campsite right along the river is stunning and the fresh eggs, bread, & jam were delicious. If you are a big critter fan this is the spot for you! Lots of frogs, fish, turtles, crawdads, bugs, etc. as well as the chickens that wander around! Paddling along the water is a treat and the dam, albeit a little noisy, brought a nice cool air to the site. The campsite itself is nestled into the property and I think it’s a great site, though if you want more options for walking trails/exploring I’d utilize the plenty of parks and public sites in the area as well. We can’t wait to come back!

we had an amazing time at Kelli’s campsite!! everything was so beautiful and well maintained. We got a wheelbarrow of wood which was perfect for us! We loved saying hi to the chickens. She was very kind and accommodating. Would love to come back soon!!
