There is a short walk from the parking area to the camping area. This walk takes roughly 8 minutes and we will provide a wagon for you to transport your things.
Just a 20 minute drive from Hudson, WI or Stillwater, MN, our campsite is the perfect getaway to escape the hustle of the city.
Good to note: Our pond is a beautiful kayaking pond with lots of waterfowl, but not great for fishing, swimming or paddle boarding. We recommend Perch Lake which is a 15 min drive, for a great swimming and paddleboarding experience.

This is a site tucked in amongst our back forest of white pines and birch trees about 35' from the back lake called Bass Lake. The lake is suitable for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. It connects with another lake in the Southwest corner of the lake. It is easy to back in your RV to the spot under the trees. There are no hookups and no fresh water. It's just one site near the lake. The driveway is an easement that runs from Bertram Road across my neighbor's property and continues on past my property to the next two properties. There is hardly any vehicles that use it and it provides nice access to the camp site.

This was a terrific spot to camp, it was secluded on peninsula with tons of wildlife. We stayed for just one night and saw deer, pilliated woodpeckers, trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes, gulls, muscat, multiple species of water fowl, and even 3 river otter that swam right up to us! They thought of everything you could ask for facilities wise. Would come back if we are in the area again. Was a good place for us to take our 6mo old in his first camping trip without worring about disturbing anyone with his cries at night.

The site is lovely, secluded and has everything you need. The wagon was really helpful for hauling gear in and it was a nice, easy walk through the woods. I had mentioned to Christine that we were camping as part of my daughter's birthday party, and she very sweetly hung balloons at the site! Everything was as described, and communication was great. Christine even offered to loan us gear when some of ours got wet in an unexpected rain storm. We loved picking bouquets and enjoying live music Friday evening at the farm, and watching the flock of swans on the lake in the morning.

So private! We are the only people there! We loved the view. Christine was available if we needed her but we did not and we never saw her. There was not actually any portapotty /satelite anywhere but the campsite bathroom facility was innovative. It would be helpful if we could park iIMMEDIATELY next to the walk in trail RATHER THAN 200-300 yards away. We have never been able camp on a weekend because we can’t make reservations in March or April, so being able to get a weekend night was FANTASTIC. the nearby towns of Hudson and Stillwater are charming

The Campsite:
The walk to the campsite is shorter than I expected and it was easier than I thought, even though we had so many stuff with us. If you like privacy and sounds of animals while camping, this is the place for you. We ended up leaving the campsite a little earlier because our little one was too tired from playing and staying up at night.

Christine was great communicating with us before our camping trip. Christine even led us know about the storms the day before our trip, and even offered us refund.

This property is absolutely beautiful. Upon parking your vehicles, you're met with a beautiful lake as well as a serene short walk to the campsite. The site also has a view of this lake too. It was spacious, private, and Chrstine was incredibly accommodating. In my personal opinion, the perfect blend of kind and considerate while still giving you space to enjoy your camp. I think it's also important to add that New Richmond is a very short drive away if you need anything else. If you are planning your next trip or thinking about trying your first Hicamp experience this is a great way to do it!

If you're looking for tranquility, this campsite is a hidden gem. Nestled right on the lake, the views are stunning—especially at sunrise and sunset. The site was clean, well-maintained, and quiet except for birds and other animals. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys nature without the crowds. I can't wait to go back once the flowers are blooming to see the flower farm in full bloom!

If you’re looking to feel like you have the entire woods to yourself, this is an excellent choice. Christine is a wonderful host- I arrived and my fresh farm eggs were waiting for me on the campsite picnic table! I brought way too much gear for a single overnight stay, but there is a handy heavy duty wagon right next to the grass parking area. It’s about a 5 to 7 minute level / easy walk to the single campsite, which is HUGE. We only used a small 3 person tent, but the pad could accommodate a mobile barracks. There’s a fantastic fire pit surrounded by several log seats, and firewood was provided!
We feel asleep to a wonderful chorus ensemble including frogs, coyotes, and an owl. The campsite sits only a few hundred feet from a decent sized pond / lake- which contains so much wildlife! We woke up early and from our lawn chairs we saw trumpeter swans, a few common mergansers, herons, a great egret, ducks of all sorts, chipmunks, several deer, a muskrat or two, sandhill cranes, and a turkey! I will definitely be camping here again in the future and hopefully taking advantage of some of the unique offerings at this site (the eggs were delicious)!

The campgrounds were a very pleasant surprise. Very well maintained, clean, quiet at night, and the staff were all very friendly and wonderful (including maintenance guys who helped me with a plumbing leak issue). Nice petting zoo, dog play area, little beach on the lake, and trails around the grounds. Some RV spots are a little close together, but the overall grounds are large and spacious, so it didn't feel crowded. Kind of an under-the-radar hidden gem for the Twin Cities!
