We are renting out our gorgeous river property located on the Chippewa River in Exeland, WI!! Our 5-acre property is equipped with electricity and power pedestals for multiple RVs, lots of space for outdoor games, a campfire area surrounded by string lights, and newly-constructed steps down to the river. There is a deep swimming hole out in front of the property, great for fishing too, and a boat landing across the river for putting in kayaks and fishing boats. Right off our river bank, we have caught muskys, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern. We have four kayaks and two paddleboards included with the rental and firewood. There is also direct ATV and UTV access from County Highway Rd D to multiple trails heading towards the Blue Hills and endless trails heading to the UP. In 2024, we added a new gravel camper parking area that can accommodate 4 campers (30-amp hookups each), as well as (2) 30-amp hookups in the grassy part of the site. First RV is included in the rental, each additional rig is $50.

Our 9 acre wooded lot is a safe, secluded and woodsy retreat overlooking the beautiful Chippewa River. The shallow river is perfect for wading, tubing, paddling & fishing. The undergrowth is a carpet of ferns & native plants. Birders will love this spot. We also encourage bringing your dog friends.
We have several fire rings and encourage responsible campfire hangouts. *Please do not bring firewood. We provide dry wood & dead fall may be used for campfire, but ABSOLUTELY NO CUTTING from live trees, please.
TENT site: Tent site is pretty basic-- it fits one large tent (12'x15') pad and has a fire ring, a cooking grate and picnic table. While it does not have electricity, there is an outlet on the property to charge phones, etc.
CAMPERS/VANS: We have 30 Amp electric hookup available for small campers! Bring your pop-up, pull-behind, camper van or roof tent. Intermediate trailer-backing skills are necessary to reach the camper site.
BATHROOM: Our well maintained outhouse is a short walk from the tent site, and stays stocked with TP. It also has a solar light for night-time visits.
*We do not allow hunting, shooting or ATV riding on the property. Archery practice is Ok however.
** As we continue our A-Frame cabin build, you may see some construction clutter. We will never be working during your stay, however - you'll have the place to yourself unless otherwise agreed upon. Feel free to view the cabin from the outside but please do not enter the structure.

My husband and I work and live in Africa during the school year. We have 3 young boys and wanted them to be able to have a large place to explore and play, and learn to camp and enjoy nature. We purchased this cabin in 2021 from the original owners who built the home. We fell in love with the design of the cabin and the windows which allow great views of the river and wildlife. There is an Artesian well that is 200 feet deep in the granite ledge that the cabin sits on. Artesian wells are more common in sand and very uncommon in granite. This well provides some of the best water you’ll ever taste.The cabin has total privacy with no neighbors on either side. There are a couple cabins across the river and just north of the cabin that are visible when at the river's edge.The total acreage is approximately 6.5 with 300 feet of river frontage. The cabin is set back from the river, yet maintains a view of the river. At the river’s edge there is a picnic area deck with table and chairs.The land is wooded with a mix of small pine, some large pine old growth and hardwood. There are walking paths throughout the wooded lot. There are no houses on either side of the lot. It is not uncommon to see a lot of wildlife. There are many deer, grouse, eagles that nest just up the river, and an occasional bear. The 6.5 acres that the cabin sits on abuts 1500 acres of undeveloped land.

Nice site on Butternut Lake! Great firepit and views of a quiet cove on the lake. Plenty of room for the dogs to play and hang out. I wish it had a dock as fishing from the shore was pretty much impossible with all of the lilly pads. We did not use the porta potty since we are self-contained and didn't need it. There is some firewood available but you will need an axe or a splitting maul. I split some but found a great place on the way to the site in Park Falls that sells bulk firewood. We would definitely come back again, I would give it 5 stars if it had a dock and would certainly pay more.

Beautiful place on the lake. Host was very accommodating with our stay incoming storms had us coming in late and staying an extra day. There is a lot of wood but bring a way to split it. The fire pit was huge never used it but was nice as an option. Watching the ducks and lions in the morning and evening was so nice.

We enjoyed our stay on T.C’s land. It was nice & secluded in a beautiful woodsy setting. Bonus - the outhouse on site was GREAT as far as outhouses go. It was clean & stocked with TP, wipes & equipped with a solar light.
Would definitely recommend canoes to enjoy the river more!

Beautiful plot of land. Definitely a good spot if you are looking for a more secluded, immersed in nature location. The river is fantastic, not too deep to wade out into, but water shoes are really helpful to have on the slippery rocks. We saw and heard so many birds.

It is an amazing spot. Very spacious, well take cared and it had everything. Kayak, paddle board and lots of yard games. My friends and I had a blast. My dog also loved all the apace to run around and explore. Also there was a lake very close if you don’t feel like swimming on the river. 10/10 recommend it

My girlfriend and I went here with our dog to see how the pup would do camping, especially in a car, and it was a great place for that! It has a lovely view and having firewood, cooking equipment, row boat, and a private portapotty was a definite bonus! Only drawbacks for us had to do with the neighbors, we didn’t see them looking at us or snooping, but there isn’t much privacy. We did have a neighbor’s dog wander into our site while we were eating, while the doggo was friendly, something to keep in mind if your dog doesn’t do well around others.
We fully plan on booking this spot in the future and would highly recommend booking
