You'll be camping on our Stanley lake sugarbush property. Lakefront sites have power and water - are located in a grassy clearing on the shores of Stanley Lake. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!! Primitive sites are amongst the maple trees of our sugarbush operation, within walking distance of the lake. These sites do not yet have water or electricity, but water is available from spigots at the lake clearing. Stanley lake is just shy of 400 acres, known for walleye and bass. It is an all sports lake with no limited wake hours. Feel free to roam our woods - you will notice the blue maple lines come to an end at our east and west property lines, as well as a no trespassing sign on the lake clearing to the west line. Deer here are plentiful, and you can often get them to eat from your hand, provided you have apples. Iron county has a tremendous ORV/snowmobile trail system. You can drive your machine right from our property to the trails. There are two golf courses in the area, as well as a vast bicycle trail system. There is no public boat launch, so all watercraft must be able to be carried to the water. There is a fire pit by the lake with plenty of seating to hangout and watch the Northern Lights. Weekend Trip to Da Sugarbush on Stanley Lake

Silver Maple tent site has abundant room including two picnic tables. Surroundings offered a flat tent space, lovely tall trees to hear the wind’s rustle leaves and look up at the canopy above with mesh ceiling. Near a pit outhouse, bonus. Just a brief gravel road to beautiful wood showers and more amenities like an outdoor sink with faucet, Starlink internet and dock at lakeside for stargazing or other fun. Welcoming hosts, just look for gravel road turn by handful mailboxes before/after Wicklund (don’t turn there). You’ll know the entry point from seeing blue property lines. Look forward to a return trip!!

Matt takes excellent care of the property. His pride is obvious. He shares stories about the history of the resort. Everything is CLEAN! Each site has its own trash and recycling bins, so no hauling. I don't need to explain how wonderful it is to have our water hookup and sewer hookups right on site. We also had great conversations with him. I'd highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Painted Rock Peninsula

We had a wonderful time here! Directions were easy and clear. Upon arrival, the driveway was a little steep and narrow. There's a short trail with cute painted rocks that leads to the campsite. You might need a wagon if you have a lot of stuff to carry. It has a beautiful view of the lake. It's well shaded and mosquitoes were minimal. We enjoyed cruising and fishing the lake. The water is clean and clear. I also appreciated the outhouse with flushable toilet and hot water. If you're wondering, we had no mobile data connection here. It was noisy at night till 10:30pm but it might be just the holidays. A pontoon(no motor though) and paddleboat was provided for use. The hosts were nice and communicative. Overall, we had great experience here and we would recommend it!

Lovely spot in the North woods right on a lake. The camp ground is older and a bit janky here and there with the sewer, water, and electric spread out at some sites. That said the hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. It's a great place to stay - I would definitely recommend staying here. Bathrooms were clean.
