IT'S 1972 AND MICK JAGGER JUST ORDERED A TEQUILA SUNRISE. On June 7, 1972, Bobby Lozoff created the Tequila Sunrise at the Trident Restaurant in Sausalito. Mick Jagger ordered one, loved it, and the Rolling Stones ordered them at every tour stop for the rest of the year. That same summer, this Holiday Rambler was rolling off the line — American-made, built for the open road, groovy as the decade itself. This fully renovated vintage camper is curated around that moment as part of POV Resort's LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM OF CAMPING — AMERICA'S FIRST. The 1970s brought Earth Day, environmental consciousness, and a generation that fell back in love with the outdoors. Climb in and feel it. THE SPACE Recently renovated with an open layout and stunning Northwoods views. A queen bed in the bedroom and a full futon in the living area sleep up to 4. Dining table and chairs for meals, games, and rainy-day fun. No appliances or running water inside. Basic electricity powers lights, phone chargers, laptops, fans, CPAP machines, and other low-draw devices. OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR Private firepit, charcoal grill, hammock, picnic table, and Edison string lights. A shared gas grill station with provided tanks is available in the campground (between sites 8 and 9). Wood swings and hammocks throughout the resort. We had a wonderful time at the camp. The beach was beautiful and kayaking was so much fun. We saw 2 bald eagles! We enjoyed the club house with free WiFi, games and coffee. The bathrooms and showers were regularly cleaned and are in good running order. Staff/owners were available if needed and very friendly. We are planning to come back with family as there was so many free and fun activities for all ages.

POV Lake Resort - Tent Campsite 9

Everything was amazing. We were a lot closer to other campsites than I realized but that is on me not realizing. Everything was as described in booking. We traveled with several kids a few of which have special needs so I was a little stressed about bothering neighboring campers. Something I wasn’t anticipating going in. Upkeep was great, all facilities were great. Only negative was not being warned about ‘swimmers itch’ before booking or during the booking process. After we got to the campground we got the warning about ‘swimmers itch’ which is related to bacteria in the water. 😳🥴 We followed all the precautions and no one in our group had a bad experience related to it. All in all we had a great time and would definitely return and will tell all our friends about our awesome experience. Kids loved the kayaks, we loved local hikes and the beautiful area, and it was super awesome having the bathrooms, showers, and the little store with ice onsite.

Great and conveniently located campgrounds! Our hosts were very accessible, communicative and helpful. Quiet hours begin at 10pm, so it's ideal for a small group that is going to bed early (like we were!) but maybe not so much for a group that wants to get rowdy. The campsites are all close together and noise travels.

Coady’s POV Resort had everything we were looking for in a first camping trip for our kids, ages 4 & 7. We stayed in a luxury tent and appreciated the covered porch area since it was raining when we checked in. We enjoyed walking out to the lookout point, canoeing around the island and playing on the beach. The general store had everything we needed, including bait for fishing, ice, and wood. We were grateful for the bath house- it was clean and modern.
