Hills and gulleys covered in trees , and trails that vary in difficulty and length. Benches to rest and Tent camping sites dot the ridge-top, surrounded by black raspberry bushes and young forest. Grilling, campfires, hot tub, and yard games can be enjoyed in the central yard. The rustic bar and outdoor entertainment area may be used on request, though parties of any sort have a fee separate from the standard camping fee. Lots of wildlife to see, as well as the resident chickens, goats, and dogs. Responsible foraging and exploring off-trail is also allowed, have fun and find some cool mushrooms if that’s what you’re into! Bring a friend or dog, enjoy the secluded feel and the kind of quiet that is only found in the forest.

Pheasant Cottage is a custom 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin with its own private entrance. Our front gate remains locked at all times, and only registered guests receive access, ensuring a peaceful and private stay. Each cottage features its own lake view, outdoor hot tub overlooking Serenity Lake, private fire pit, and private beach where you can swim and fish right from your cottage.
The cottage sleeps up to nine guests with a double bed in the main bedroom, a double and single bed in the second bedroom, a double futon in the living room, and another double futon in the entryway. The bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom.
With 14 windows offering panoramic lake views from two sides of the cottage, you'll feel immersed in nature while enjoying the comfort of a cozy cabin. Natural pine finishes and custom details create a warm, rustic atmosphere.
Spend your days fishing from your private beach (no fishing license required), relaxing in the hot tub, or watching for local wildlife, including deer, porcupines, cardinals, blue jays, raccoons, hawks, owls, foxes, beavers, otters, and bald eagles.
Each cottage is separated by a couple of acres—about a football field's length of forest—providing excellent privacy for every guest.
Pets are welcome. Pet fee: $40 for the first pet for up to two nights, plus $10 per additional night. Additional pets are $20 each for up to two nights, plus $10 per additional night.
We have the floating oasis, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and row boats available for rentals or you are welcome to bring your own. They are $30 per day/$40 per day for the row boat but, if you rent them at the time you make your reservation and get them for the duration of your visit, they are $25 per day/$35 per day for the row boat and you get the last day free! If you are staying for 2 nights, you get an additional $10 off the subtotal. If you get a 2nd watercraft, you get an additional $5 off as a "multi-watercraft" discount; $10 off a 3rd; $15 off a 4th; $20 off a 5th, etc.
Minimum stay: Two nights (three nights for minor holidays and four nights for major holidays). Weekend rates apply to stays that include Friday or Saturday nights.
There is a security deposit, depending on the number of guests, pets, watercraft rentals and which cottage(s) that are rented. We collect your credit card information when you make your reservation and the amount is simply processed as an "authorization" when you arrive for your vacation. It will then drop off usually after 3-6 days (depending on your credit card or banking institution as they are all a little different!). If there are damages and/or excessive clean-up charges, we would attempt to contact you prior to charging the amount and it would be the cost of the actual amount, not the entire security deposit.

Welcome to this cozy tiny house in a charming community in the Dells.
The house is nestled in a lovely community with a stocked fishing lake, a bubbling brook, miles of walking trails, pools, golf, and an on-site restaurant. You may never need to leave for a peaceful Northwoods getaway, but you’ll also be close to all the wonderful activities the Dells has to offer.
Mirror Lake State Park is across the street, Rocky Arbor State Park is nearby, and the house is about 15 minutes from Baraboo and Devil’s Lake.
The home itself offers approximately 700 square feet of tiny-house charm. It includes one queen-size bedroom, two twin-size bedrooms, and two small sleeping lofts that can accommodate four additional twin beds. It’s perfect for families or groups of friends!
There is one full bathroom and one half bathroom, as well as a full kitchen and a washer and dryer.
The large outdoor deck features two separate seating areas, including a grill, dining table, outdoor sofa, and a second smaller seating area with a bistro table.
After a day spent exploring the river or the woods, relax around the fire ring or unwind in the hammock while gazing at the stars.
A kayak, paddleboard, and fishing gear are available for your use on the small lake.
If desired, a golf cart is available during your stay for a small additional fee. It can be used to get around the property, including trips to the pools or lake. Please inquire after booking. Pool access requires a $10 pass, which can also be added. There are two outdoor pools and two outdoor hot tubs open from May through October, as well as one indoor pool and hot tub open year-round.

We are a mother-daughter team restoring our land back to healthy pasture land through the use of rotational grazing and healthy animal impact. Although we have been raising Scottish Highland cattle since 2016, we moved to our farm in Hertel, WI in 2020. We have since added perimeter and interior fencing, all-season water sources, and summer water lines in order to improve our rotational grazing practices.
We are conveniently located between Siren and Spooner and not far from Superior and Hayward. We are also not far from ATV and snowmobile trails, St. Croix Casino and lots of good bars and restaurants.

4 nights at Pheasant Cottage
This little lake is a gem. Very healthy with plenty of cute animals a few frogs hopping around. It was great for swimming and when I come back I’ll be fishing it too. We enjoyed the cabin which was well equipped and feels freshly renovated. The setting was lovely and conveniently close to Black River falls for a meal out or run to the store. Finally, the owner was attentive and immediately addressed any requests. I am recommending it to friends.

The property was filled with fun surprises. Like a friendly pig that roams the property(if you're cool with it). But how can you say no? There's trails to walk and explore, a fun hangout spot to socialize and grill and the best... HOT TUB. With cool lights and he left a robe and off spray to use.
The host pays a lot of attention to detail and clearly cares about his guests.
The camp site is up a steep hill and I got my work out in going up but small price to pay to have the seclusion. While going to Sleep I heard two owls talk to each other and in the morning I got a cute toad friend.
If i have to sum it up it's hillbilly chic in the best way possible.

Weekend Trip to Bear Hill
This stay was soo perfect!! Everything you need is already there ready and available. We didn’t stay all that long so we really didn’t get to do a whole lot at the actual location, but they have a grill, games, hammocks, hot tub. Literally everything you could need to have a good time. The area is absolutely stunning and the hosts are so kinda and accommodating. It’s dog friendly which is a huge plus. I would definitely stay here again.

Kevin and Sherri have provided such an excellent and comfortable space to spend some time just getting away from a busy life and re-learning to enjoy quality time together. They are available any time you need anything at all, which isn't often because they provide so much right from the start! My fiance and I truly had a wonderful long weekend and are already making plans for another visit just as soon as we can. We were a group of 4 families, a total of 16 people, and we had a blast over there on the Juneteenth weekend. Kevin and Sherry are the best hosts. Kids loved to interact with the goats over there. The entire property is fenced, so no worries about anything outside. We even pitched our tent outside. The hot tub was a great help in engaging kids and relaxing when tired. There is a volleyball net, a lot of open area, and badminton and dart games. Plenty of chairs and free firewood. The love shack has two queen beds, but we had our extra tent pitched so that everyone can sleep well.

Great staff, clean facility with great amenities for campers! We were the only people tent camping so it definitely is more geared towards RV campers (hence why it’s called an RV park). The site was pretty cramped but luckily the slot next to us was empty so we were able to spread out more. Also there are hardly any trees at each campground so we were unable to hang up our hammocks or our dog lead. Overall, it was a great experience and our dog loved having access to the public beach across the street!

We had such a great time tent camping at Lost and Found Private Retreat! The property is beautiful with plenty of peaceful hiking trails that our dog absolutely loved exploring. The newly installed hot tub was the perfect way to relax after a day outdoors. There were lots of fun yard games available, which made our downtime even better. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which really added to the experience. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with a mix of nature and comfort.

Weekend Trip to Bear Hill
We had a wonderful time glamping in the Love Shack! The weather was hot, then rainy most of the weekend unfortunately so we didn’t get to spend as much time at the property as we wanted to. It was great to be 15 min from the Dells, so we took advantage of that more than anticipated. The Love Shack has A/C which was amazing. The setting is peaceful, and we loved getting to hang out with the goats - shoutout to George. Sheri and Kevin were fantastic hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and offering help. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with great hosts and a bit of country charm, this place is definitely worth considering!

Amazing experience!! Sheri and Kevin were wonderful hosts, they checked in and made sure we had what we needed and answered any questions we had. They have pretty much everything you could think of related to camping activities and necessities. From board games to a fire tripod for cooking to firewood and lawn chairs. Really took the stress out of the experience for us. Their goats are so cute and friendly too! We really enjoyed the little hot tub and how cozy the cabin is. The location is great, it feels very private and secluded but it’s only about 10-15 minutes from the main area of the Dells and a Walmart. Sheri made sure to let us know that they were flexible with check out times, and they were overall very accommodating hosts! Would happily come stay here again!

Man we had a great time! Our trip was slightly different from most of the reviews, we had a fairly packed itinerary family vacation and used bear hill as our home base, we were out and about most of the time and *even* still we loved the hospitality and ended up wishing we had planned down time to hang out. Extremely nice people when we did manage to find some time to talk. They were also wonderful at just giving us our space and making the whole thing feel very private and safe while still being accessible (via phone) if we needed anything.
*EVERYTHING* IS PROVIDED, from sheets/comforters, soap, dishes and cookware, to bug spray, hell they even had toys and glow sticks for our kiddo. Honestly we over packed quite a bit as a precaution but genuinely you could bring only clothes and food and be set, they went out of their way to provide all the supplies and conveniences.
15m drive to the dells, and as a bonus you get to turn north on highway 12/I-90alt and immediately leave the traffic behind 🤌 Don't trust Google maps for the address, follow their instructions.

We had a very nice stay. Google Maps brought us to the wrong entrance but we easily pulled back on the road to go over to the correct entrance. Utilities all worked well. We also used the laundry facilities which were nice and clean. Excellent access to the path by the lake.
