The wooded area is next to my house. There's about 4 acres to explore and a gravel road rarely traveled for a nice walk to a view for a great sunset. Harrisonburg is 5 minutes from here and has lots of night life, micro breweries etc. I have long power cords if you need electric at the campsite. You may hear owls hooting at night. The campsite is under white pines with a thick bed of pine needles. There are several campsites under the red cedar trees that are naturally bug and mosquito resistant. Shenandoah National Park is about 45 minutes away if you go to the 33 entrance and 45 minutes away to go to the Luray entrance. Lots of bears there and hikes to waterfalls. No hunting there. Solar panels provide half of my energy needs. GW National forest has lots of hiking and mt biking and is half an hour away. Great views of the mountains from the campsite area. I'm dedicated to having lots of native plants and trees. I do not spray any pesticides. Plenty of free firewood. Not too far off interstate 81. I give tours of the mushroom farm whenever the weather isn't below freezing. I don't recommend anything larger than a conversion van. Very small pull behind campers are OK . All campers are required to leave every day from 1 to 5. Belongings may be kept here. There is a bathroom inside the house. No showers , please guys relieve yourself behind a tree instead of tying up a bathroom .. Harpine Highway is nearby and does have some trafffic noise but it's not close enough to discourage most campers.

The camp site is on a 12 acre open field with complete privacy from the main road with Sheep living on the property. There are two small mountain ridges that are great for hiking while being able to enjoy the scenic panoramic views. There is also a 9 acres of land across the main camp site that is surrounded by water on 3 sides, which is excellent for fishing.
We are located just a few miles from the West Virginia boarder.

Welcome to Faithful Harvest Farm campsites. We have opened our farm for camping. We have a level site to enjoy. Our farm is bordered on 3 sides by water. The campsite is located on Peters Mill Creek. The back of our property is bordered by passage creek. It offers peaceful and private fishing for trout, bass, suckers and several varieties of pan fish. Cool off in the summer with a dip in the cool clean waters or relax and read a book with the sounds of nature. You can enjoy the cows, horses and goats who love the attention! However we ask you let us know before trying to pet or interact with the animals because we do have a Livestock Guardian Dog inside the fence with them and she is very protective of her herd. In the spring and summer we offer for sale fresh eggs and organic produce to our guest. Our property is located in the heart of Fort Valley. We have miles of hiking trails all around. There are 2 horse back riding camps in the area to offer a beautiful view of our area on horseback. The activities are endless. Several excellent wineries are within a short diving distance. There is a fire ring at each site and we provide a free bundle of wood to each guest with more bundles available for $4 each. The site is located on the side of our hay field, though we mow around the camping area and pathways, the field does grow up, but adds a bit of privacy to the site from our residence across the field. It does get cut 2-3 times per summer/fall season. A porta potty is also located on the property for our guest. Please read the rules and recommendations posted at the site when you arrive. There is no lifeguard on duty, so you swim at your own risk. Although the creek is pretty shallow most of the time, we ask that if you have children, they are supervised at all times, especially around the water. We think you will love our little piece of heaven and we look forward to your visit!

While my RV is down, anyone with a camper/RV/Van that has it's own bathroom can use this site. Plus, any one that wants to come out for a day visit and just relax and walk and light a fire and get naked is welcome. Please DM me for this sort of enjoyment! It's time to try to find out how nice it is to camp at your own campsite amidst 6 wooded acres alongside Bear Creek, with Bear Stream running through the middle of it. Quiet and private, with paths and trails on the property. Dry firewood is provided there at the campsite. There is a charcoal grill ready to use, though you must bring your own charcoal. Camping by the creek, listening to the water running is the way to do it. The site is also very private and naturist ready, and a perfect place for your dogs or your children to run free, so it's time to get back to nature. Since guests have the whole site, they can decide whether it's clothing optional or not. With the new boat launch site near Capon Bridge, on the Cacapon river nearby, and a few more upriver towards Wardensville, it's a great site for kayakers or canudists to plan river outings and stay nearby. There are multiple places to set up tents, or hammocks, either at the main campfire ring, or at several sites away from the main campsite. Throughout spring, rear wheel drive is recommended, and 4 wheel drive might be needed, and during the summer if heavy rain is expected. I would not recommend front wheel drive cars being used there in the spring, unless it is dry out. The RV is limited to two adults, and two to three children, for sleeping, due to it's size. Heading west, is the Canaan Valley and Davis and Thomas, WV. Both towns have many things worth visiting and are close together, and Winchester is 30 minutes away for supplies.

We really enjoyed our weekend at Bear Creek. With only one campsite on the six-acre property, it’s a great place if you’re looking for privacy and don’t want other campers nearby. The site sits down in a wooded ravine near the creek, and the woods and terrain make for a really pretty setting.
The host was very kind and gave us a tour when we arrived, then gave us our space for the rest of the weekend. He checked in through the Hipcamp app when a storm was approaching and also asked if we needed more firewood. The complimentary firewood was a nice touch, and it burned great.
The site has chairs, end tables, a picnic table, charcoal grill, and fire ring. There are also a couple walking paths around the property, although they are very short—the longest only took us a few minutes to walk.
Privacy was probably the biggest plus for us. The host’s house is at the front of the property and the campsite is all the way at the rear. You can see a portion of the house from the campsite and occasionally hear neighboring dogs, but otherwise the site feels very secluded. Being clothing optional was also a big plus for us and made it a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the privacy.
The road down to the campsite may be challenging for some vehicles, but that was actually one of my favorite parts of the property.
We had 1 bar of AT&T 5G if we needed to use our phones. We would stay here again.

Jim is a wonderful host and the campsite is just as advertised. Jim ensured all needs were met, had plenty of firewood at the campsite, and the RV with a flush toilet was clean and comfortable.
This campsite is easy to get to and very secluded. Many beautiful trees create great canopy and aesthetic. The site felt safe and comfortable and was able to enjoy my clothes free camp without worry or concern.

Very close to Shenandoah National Park with many areas to hike, fish, camp, and kyak! An outdoorsmans retreat!
Great space, easy to get to sites, bathhouse, large open Dog Park, play areas, pool is nice!
Camp has a small store on site, not too far from Luray (a Walmart, auto shops, and restaurants if you need more things.)
10/10 would recommend and return if I can.

I loved camping at Spacious Skies. It was clean, well maintained, and family friendly. The site was good sized and easy to get in and out of. The people were friendly and there were so many activities and fun things for the kids to do. We definitely plan on visiting again! Thank you for a great weekend!

What an amazing place to get away from it all. Quiet and secluded, Jim’s oasis in the West Virginia woods is worth the drive! Nestled in next to a babbling creek, we hung out naked under the stars and amongst nature. It was truly amazing.

Site was fantastic! Very private and great setting. Site was well maintained—fire ring was awesome. Would highly recommend, we would love to return here. Host’s directions and recommendations were super helpful and spot-on. We also hiked the nearby rail trail and would have explored more if we had the time.
