Come with your RV and camp on my property. It is a rural/farm area but very close to the cute town of Poulsbo. Relax with a pastureland view of big valley. Water and electricity are available (but no sewage). Big Valley is a popular biking area and there are some really nice hiking trails nearby. Killer frisbee golf course across the street. New for 2023 is a mesh WiFi system that gets great coverage at the site. Kick back and watch a movie on your laptop. Connection information is on the electric outlet adjacent to the site. In 2022 I had a gravel pad installed. I mention it as some of the older photos show folks needing levelers. Not the case anymore. I happily rent my pasture to J and W who come by in the morning and/or evening to check in on them. They have goats, alpacas, and piggies staying in my pasture. We have great places to pitch your own tent and enjoy the rustic pleasures just being outdoors. The sites are rustic and access to trails are nearby. We also have a wonderful covered outdoor kitchen with propane grill, microwave, and coffee pot. A safe place to gather with family. Bring your RV and park and have a large site to yourself. You have room to spread out your awning without hitting the next vehicle. Each site has its own picnic table and fire ring. Also if you are in the mood you have a covered kitchen to meet and mingle with other guests. We also have a big screen tv in the kitchen so you don't miss the Seahawks games. Drive in and enjoy a lovely view of unspoiled woods from the deck of your canvas tent. Enter the door into a spacious area with a king or queen size bed and small kitchen area. Each tent has its own heat source for your comfort. Each tent has its table right outside on the deck but it you are feeling social come enjoy our outdoor kitchen. We are open year round and It is different every season Our guests love staying here "This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You NEED to check this place out."

This is my first season open to the public so feedback is very utilized. Hello, my name is Joe and I live here at Christmas Tree Ridge. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. Valley Ridge Lookout is a first year clearing up at the top of the plot with no power or water hookups yet, the same for West Perch. Most seem to car camp or tent, even with the round rocky soil. However, if you are in need of power or water tanks filled just let me know, the lower drive area is near my utilities. Pros: -Borders state land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, motor bike, or horseback year round. Very narrow trail, just cut this year. -Wood for burning, not all sites have a fire ring. Ask, I can arrange things. -Trash free soil, keep it that way please. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is 1 mile via that trail, less then 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars Cons: -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. -While a very private place, you're going to hear some noise still. Sometime very local target shooting now and then, often at the shooting range 4 km west. Distance road noise from the north during traffic hours, occasional loud car or liter bike buzzing the back road, and single engine planes, sometimes even aerobatic, practicing above. -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be aware when walking around the east edge at night or you may find yourself 100ft lower in the bush or trees.

It is just me and an occasional worker operating the property so you may see us weeding, milking goats, feeding farm animals, or watering some of the many gardens. You are encouraged to participate in activities on the farm and children are welcome to do the same. We are 5 minutes from Bailey's Corner Store, Whidbey's best burger joint, which has great music various nights of the week, and Ogres Brewery which also has great entertainment and beer. Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away.

We have no intermittent power and WIFI. Nearest town is 5 miles away, so come prepared. 2 tiny cabins artesian spigots outside. ( or bring your RV under 32 '. No hook ups. $30 per night. No sewage) A community fire pit and lots of wood can be found. We need help burning it, when no fire ban is in effect. A propane cook stove, fire ring and covered outdoor kitchen Prep space is available. Lots of birds and wildlife. We are close to Dabob bay but it is not immediately accessible. This is a great base for hikers who need some comforts before hiking the great Olympic Mountains! Forage for wild herbs and berries. New for 2023 is a mesh WiFi system that gets great coverage at the site. Kick back and watch a movie on your laptop. Connection information is on the electric outlet adjacent to the site. In 2022 I had a gravel pad installed. I mention it as some of the older photos show folks needing levelers. Not the case anymore. I happily rent my pasture to J and W who come by in the morning and/or evening to check in on them. They have goats, alpacas, and piggies staying in my pasture. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. This beautiful 5 acre canvas overlooks the Tahuya Valley to my south and is propped on the edge of a deep gullie to the East. Long ago this whole hillside farmed Christmas Trees. Valley Ridge Lookout is a first year clearing up at the top of the plot with no power or water hookups yet, the same for West Perch. Most seem to car camp or tent, even with the round rocky soil. However, if you are in need of power or water tanks filled just let me know, the lower drive area is near my utilities. Pros: -Borders state land, hunter's verify season. -Just broke brush on a trail that connects to the Howell Lake Trail for hiking, biking, motor bike, or horseback year round. Very narrow trail, just cut this year. -Wood for burning, not all sites have a fire ring. Ask, I can arrange things. -Trash free soil, keep it that way please. -Swimming hole at Howell lake is 1 mile via that trail, less then 10min by car. -Great views of Moon and Stars Cons: -1 mile long dirt road can get bumpy at times. -While a very private place, you're going to hear some noise still. Sometime very local target shooting now and then, often at the shooting range 4 km west. Distance road noise from the north during traffic hours, occasional loud car or liter bike buzzing the back road, and single engine planes, sometimes even aerobatic, practicing above. -Gully creates steep(100% Grade or more) drop near edge of camp sites. Please keep a safe distance. Be aware when walking around the east edge at night or you may find yourself 100ft lower in the bush or trees.
