Welcome to Aliya Preserve. Originally owned by the developers of Kalaloch Lodge, this was slated to be an expansion site for the resort. That development would have drastically changed the land. Adam & Sara purchased the property in 2018 to preserve it. We enjoy sharing it with nature aficionados who respect the sacredness of the unblemished land and help us keep it pristine. From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons. As the stewards of this land, we are now inviting respectful and responsible small groups and families to share its beauty. Without prior approval we allow only eight people per group— even when split between campsites. Please make sure to check the site *title* for number of campers allowed in each site. For example only two people are allowed in sites 1 and 4. Up to two dogs are allowed per site for a $25 per-pup fee, which must be paid in the "extras" section at checkout {dogs enjoy the beach the most!!}

Nestled along the Clearwater River in a quiet, forested stretch of the Olympic Peninsula, Salmon Run is a small family-owned campground offering a peaceful, back-to-nature experience. Located between the Quinault and Hoh rainforests just 3.6 miles north of Highway 101 and about 10 miles from Kalaloch Beach, this peaceful spot is a quiet alternative to the busy coastal campgrounds. Sites include a fire ring, a flat spot for your tent, and a picnic table (except Camp 4). At the north edge of the campground, a short trail through the floodplain forest provides access to the river and gravel bar. There’s no potable water onsite, so bring drinking water or your filter for the river. Directly across the street, guests have access to a clean Sanican, a gravel parking area, and free WiFi in front of the main shop. Dogs are welcome, as long as they stay leashed and are never left unattended. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase. New this year, we are offering movie nights on the 4th Saturdays of the month, May - Sept. If you are at the campground on one of these evenings, we invite you to join us for a family-friendly movie & popcorn inside the shop by the parking area.

Private, quiet campsites in the Quinault River Valley, just passed Lake Quinault--no crowds, just forest and space to breathe. Set in the lush Quinault River Valley, this quiet, private retreat offers a perfect basecamp between National Forest land and Olympic National Park, just beyond the Quinault Indian Nation and near the wild beauty of the Colonel Bob Wilderness. Surrounded by towering evergreens and rich forest, this small off-grid farm has a long history dating back to 1890—giving the land a grounded, timeless feel you won’t find in typical campgrounds. The Camping Experience Simple, spacious, and intentionally low-key: * 6 total campsites * 2 sites suitable for small RVs or camper vans * Picnic tables at each site * Tent pads * Fire ring * Clean, well-maintained outhouse toilets * Potable water and trash service Sites are spread out for privacy, so you can relax without feeling crowded—many guests mention how peaceful and quiet it feels. The Vibe This isn’t a packed campground. It’s more like staying on a peaceful, working homestead—calm, welcoming, and connected to nature. What Guests Say “Everything we hoped for and more… quiet, spacious, and welcoming. Like staying at a distant cousin’s organic farm—with the ease of a well-run campsite.” Good to Know * Off-grid and rustic (no hookups) * No pets allowed * Best for guests who value quiet, nature, and simplicity Why Stay Here You’re close to hiking, rainforest trails, and the many landscapes of the Olympic Peninsula—but at the end of the day, you come back to stillness, open space, and the kind of quiet that’s hard to find.

Rainbow Ridge Retreat is closed until further notice. We are working with the land to bring out more of its natural beauty! Rainbow Ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans. Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.
