We've got you covered for all of that and more. At the doorstep to Portland, Cascades, Columbia River Gorge, even the coast, we're your forest fix without the campground menagerie. It's Four Seasons camping with more stars, fresh air, and pastured sheep, chickens, ducks, and pigs.
Our farm has 20 acres of regenerative orchard, pasture, gardens, and 20 acres of rewilding forest. We're raising food AND making space for wildlife and nature to thrive.
We have two drive-in sites for small RVs and vans, five glamping-ish sites (furnished with tents, foam mats, and chairs) and four walk-in campsites with a tent pad ready for your equipment.
You're welcome to explore our trails, check in on the farm animals, find your zen in a forest bath. Please remember to close the gates behind you, and observe local fire restrictions. And please pack out your trash and leave your campsite looking tidy for the next guest.

Easy access to the great PNW wilderness! We are centrally located in the White Salmon River valley of the Columbia River Gorge. Our RV spot is 20 minutes to Trout Lake/Mt Adams/Gifford-Pinchot Natl Forest to the north and White Salmon/Hood River/Mt Hood to the south. Only a couple minutes from the Husum and BZ white water rafting and kayaking launch sites.
This semi-shaded RV spot is located on our farm with both 50amp and standard 120v electrical hookups. Access to a hose for non-potable water. Local mobile sanitation service available on Thursdays for emptying the gray and black water tanks (around $60 payable to Bishop Sanitation). There is a local gas station with sundries, gas, diesel, propane, and camping essentials 5 minutes up the road.
Parking is one way in and you’ll be backing out the same way; non-paved access requires AWD or 4WD vehicle.
We do not allow open fire including campfires and charcoal BBQs. Propane bbq and fire pits are allowed (must have on/off switch). Picnic table located onsite.
No smoking.
Quiet Hours: 8pm-8am (no elevated voices or music)
Please note that this a working farm; farm operations take place throughout the summer at various hours (including quiet hours)
Due to various wildlife and farm animals located on the property, all pets must be on a leash AT ALL TIMES and are not allowed further than 20’ from the RV spot. Pets shall not be left unaccompanied.
Use of our property is restricted to a 50’ radius of the RV spot. Our personal fifth wheel is parked just outside that radius as a reference.

Our McLucas family has been operating The Oasis, which has consisted of, at various times, a cafe, historic cabins, a campground, a fishing guide service, a shuttle business and t-shirt shop over the past 65 years. In 2019 we sold the cafe and cabins to a new family to carry on, but we kept the parcel of land overlooking the Deschutes River where we have operated a campground for many years.Oasis Riverview Campground has operated during the months of July and August, primarily, giving RV's and tent campers a place to land during the busy months here in Maupin when the fishing and whitewater rafting are at their peak and the campsites along the river (managed by the BLM) were not adequate to host all visitors to the area.We are transitioning from a tent camping site to a site only for self-contained RV's or groups willing to have their own toilets brought in.

We tent camped on one of the RV sites (Potbelly 2) so we could drive up, and we had a fantastic time. Our 3-yr old twins LOVED getting to meet and feed the farm animals, and the people who live on site were very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor bathroom was the cleanest I’ve ever experienced and only a few minutes walk from our site. The showers were a nice feature as well!

Betsy and Lane were the perfect hosts. They met us when we arrived and assisted with the backing up into the camp spot. It was peaceful and quiet. We met Blue and Rooster a couple camp dogs, we were given advice on where to eat and swim, and even saw some deer in the evenings. They created the perfect experience for a weekend out of the city. Thank you!

Great spot! Perfect for self-contained camper/trailer set-ups (no bathrooms). Perfect location near the river. Green grass field. We had a great burger at the Oasis Cafe across the street and a fun time rafting with friends.

Scrumpy Forest Farm is straight-up magical. Paula is a generous and kind host who made us feel right at home. She welcomed us to her beautiful land, helped us settle in, and shared the farm’s magic. The Quidditch field was perfect for our group campout: open enough to stargaze, yet surrounded by trees that made the space feel wild, safe, and tucked away from the world.
The cozy kitchen had everything we needed—and honestly, I caught myself wishing it was my everyday kitchen. We even got to build chickadee birdhouses as a little nature craft project, which was such a fun bonus. And Etta the dog was adorable.
Scrumpy Forest is one of those rare places that feels grounded and enchanting at the same time. Whether you’re visiting for a campout, a project, or one of their community events, I’d 100% recommend it.
