This level, graveled site is nestled into a quiet pocket of our six-acre forested retreat above the Klickitat River valley. Equipped with 50amp and 120V power, free WiFi, and surrounded by tall pines and the sounds of nature, it’s ideal for Overlanders, RVers, or anyone craving stillness and space. Unwind by the fire pit under a sky full of stars, cook dinner on the gas BBQ, and enjoy solar-lit evenings around camp. Site 1 includes easy access to the outhouse with a composting toilet, black water dump tank, and extra parking nearby. Wildlife sightings are common — deer, wild turkeys, and soaring hawks are frequent visitors. This is more than just a place to park — it’s a place to pause. Use it as a base for your Washington Scenic Discovery Route adventure, or simply sit back, breathe deep, and enjoy the unbelievable quiet. Camp Hardy Klickitat - Site 2: Hillside Hideaway Perched at the edge of a quiet forest, Site 2 offers a serene and scenic spot to set up camp. This compact, level gravel pad is perfect for a small RV, camper van, tent, or car camping setup. What makes this site special is its open view of the surrounding hills and ridgelines—ideal for sunrise or early morning coffee with a view. This is a dry site, but you’ll have access to a clean composting toilet in the nearby outhouse. We’re working to add a fire pit and additional amenities soon. Site 2 is located near Site 1, making it a great option for groups who want to camp together with a bit of personal space. Come enjoy fresh mountain air, starry nights, and the quiet beauty of the Klickitat region.

Great little private spot! Stayed a couple of nights, had everything one would need. There is a composting toilet and portable water we didn’t use since we were in our RV. We were able to pick where we wanted to hike with lots of options out there.

Thanks so much for our stay at Camp Hardy. The directions were spot on and so easy to follow. The campsite was remote and so quiet. There was hiking near by and bunnies munching plants down the road.

Nice mostly private site (one site unoccupied for us). It is clean and has wifi, water, 50A hookup, and a nice composting toilet.

Camped here in Lyle 2 nights while visiting Hood River, Oregon during the WAAAN museum fly-in. Nice clean spot in the woods with oak, pine and fir. Nighttime crickets for a good nights sleep. Clean composting outhouse. (Not smelly!). Secure and undisturbed in the gated area. Good views of the river canyons down to the Columbia.

Perfect spot to get away from it all, except for nature! Beautiful setting, very peaceful! Directions and host was very responsive! Definitely would stay again if we were passing through!

Pulled in with my Fifth wheel (30ft) 3 inch of block on one side to level out. Very quiet and clean. Wrong time of the year for campfires so we did not utilize the pit but was ready for that time of year. Several walks with our dog on the local roads without traffic. Relax and enjoy.

Camp Hardy is beautiful and my family looks forward to returning. The site itself is well maintained and cared for, with wonderful facilities for such a remote area. This is an incredibly relaxing area and the host's communication made everything a breeze. Thank you!

Fantastic spot. -Very private, we didn’t see a soul. - Perfect for those that camp with dogs. We came prepared with a gate and leashes, but in this spot the dogs didn’t even need them which was so nice. - Even prettier than in the photos. - We are first time travel trailer campers and this spot was easy to pull into and pretty easy to back out of. Also came with a dump hook up so that was convenient. - My only mild “complaint” is there were no instructions on how to use the WiFi as advertised. We faired fine without it, it’s camping after all but we do like to be able to check on our home security cameras while gone. We will be back!

Great stay on David’s property. Very private, no road noise. Someone lives out of sight up the private road on the property, cool guy with a cool dog. Location is great, way up the hill and away from all people. Close to the Columbia River and a few wineries. Will be back to explore the area more!
