What to Know Before You Book
The cabin sleeps 3 adults comfortably and has basic amenities inside: bed and futon with bedding, chairs and table, games and a small library. The outdoor kitchen includes two picnic tables, a gas and charcoal grill with burner, basic cooking equipment, and dishes for 8. Propane and wood fire pits are included.
Camping at Hidden Pillar is a primitive, off-grid experience:
- No electricity; no running water
- Bring all water or purification system; pack out all trash
- Gravel roads are steep and rutted—high-clearance vehicle recommended for cabin and Creekside access

All sites have access to the river and the beach. Great for biking on the quiet little country Rd that is split between the the river sites and other sites. Playing on the beach, swimming and exploring the surrounding area. Watch and listen for the magic of the fish jump (fishing allowed with license) Lots of wildlife! Visit the only working covered bridge in Washington State. Bring a kayak or floaties. Ride your bike on a beautiful country road. The water is very amazing and surrounded by woods. There are 2 sites directly on the river and 2 about 50' from the river with a river view. A few miles away is a little restaurant called Duffy's. Open only Thu - Sunday. It is 12 miles to nearest town in both directions for a store and gas. There is a Porta potty and picnic tables. No potable water yet so please bring your own. A contained fire allowed. Wood is available to buy. Most phones get service. No electric at this time. Pet friendly. Pets must be on a leash for their safety. ( You should be able to let you dogs run free down at the end of the beach) Life jackets are highly recommended for people who can't swim. Two sites have a little country rd that is between you and the riverfront that hardly gets used. The river is a stone throw away. Only 26 miles to Astoria Oregon and 34 miles to Long Beach Washington. There is a old farmhouse on the top of the hill that is not lived in. I store my tools in there that I use. All sites are huge. There will be other campers. Thank you

We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place.
All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets.
Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away.

There have been cougar, bear, and elk sightings, so please don’t leave food out and be careful!
Although Short Sands Beach / Oswald State Park is close, it’s not really walkable. However, it is only two miles South on Hwy 101 to the parking lots from our gate. Most of the campsites are about a mile up the hill from our main entrance. So a total of about 3 miles to Shorty’s.
Fair warning: All of these sites are great for car camping and not great for tent camping. There is lots of rocks and not a lot of grass padding.
Lastly; there are no bathrooms! Please make sure you bring your own bathroom!
If we find any messes left we do charge a $250 fine. Thank you for for helping us keep our sites beautiful and safe for all!

Walk the shoreline agate hunting, fish from Harrington point, borrow one of our water crafts for a day paddle or bring a bike to enjoy miles of looping farm roads. This is a nature lovers paradise. Look for otters, sea lions, white pelicans, eagles, king fishers, porcupines and many more.
We have a dry, pull through RV site that can accommodate 1 RV.
A short walk down the road to our driveway will lead you to the beach access. There are 2 canoes and 2 kayaks onsite with adult sized lifejackets and paddles for you to borrow.
Bring your WA state fishing license and you can fish off the point or try your hand at kayak fishing!
Please be aware that this property is located just off the shipping channel. It’s important to keep watch for ships, changing tides and inclement weather.
The shoreline is rocky, requiring sturdy footwear. You will likely have to carry your watercraft over some large pieces of driftwood to enter the water. Please return all watercraft to its original place to keep them safe from changing tides.

P.S. There is a neighboring homestead with 2 very friendly dogs who may come to say hello during your stay. You’ll also sometimes find chickens in the road. Please drive slowly.

More than enough room and felt private. The bay is beautiful and walking to the beach from our site was so convenient. Having trash/recycling on site and full hook ups was also super convenient.
We recommend pulling forward forward as far as you can for gravity flow of waste line.

This was an awesome spot for a campervan setup — the views up the coast were insane. You could see from the beach at Arch Cape all the way up to Haystack Rock and to Tillamook Head. Totally stunning. Watching sunset/sunrise from our van up there was so special.
Lots of sign of elk but we only saw one lone guy across the next little valley from us.
The road was about the same “roughness” as a standard forest service road - nothing crazy. Just rocky and steep. Our AWD Transit made it just fine.
We were there as the weather transitioned from dry, warm, sunny to fog and mist - and the winds up there were pretty dramatic that night given how exposed it is. Something to keep in mind if you were to tent camp!
All in all, a super special place and we were so happy to have had the experience. We’ll be back!

The weather this time was cloudy almost everyday though unlike last year when it was sunny with lovely sunsets. Even had a little fog this trip. That’s not in any ones control however! We enjoyed our time at this Rv campsite! Yes the spaces were close to each other as mentioned. However, staff was very friendly, it was about a .3 mile walk to a gorgeous beach, there was a rec room with some games and puzzles that we enjoyed, and other amenities like a place to clean fish. The full hook ups were great, too. A very short drive (20) to Cape Disappointment which was not disappointing at all :)

Mary is the best camp host I have had the opportunity to interact with. We were fine on our own but she was helping people start their camp fire fires.
Mary’s place is 100% hers and takes care of it like it is.
