4 nights at Del Rosario Family Vineyard

I had a great time meeting Rene, talking, and tasting wine! The campsites are spacious and there was a lot of room to let my retriever roam and chase after a tennis ball. The scenery in the Palisades canyon is spectacular, as is the stargazing. I'll be visiting again.

Beautiful open field to park your rig with a gorgeous tree covered mountain backdrop. There is a nice grocery, hardware, and coffee shop within walking distance. Our host Mike was lovely along with Diane who helps out on the farm. Our stay was relaxing and extra memorable simply from spending time with Mike and Diane.

2 nights at The Hay Farm

This is my first hip camp, so I was not sure what to expect. The host, Shane was very nice and greeted me when I arrived. Explained to me a few things and gave me some directions to some scenic areas and also where to use the RV dump, which is only a few miles down the road. Ironically, it’s free between 730 and 3:30 PM each day. For the most part, it was quiet. You can hear interstate 84 in the background a little bit. There’s a nice little stream with a bunch of frogs to go look at. The sunset was absolutely beautiful. My only problem that I had that someone else may not have is that it was very, very rocky for my dog. And there was not a lot of grass for her to do her duty. Other than that, it was a very nice trip for my first one. There are some permanent tenants that live there but they were no bother at all. I did have some power issues. My surge protector blew in spot 1. I had to go buy a new one. I had a 30 amp cable and 30 amp surge protector. Once I got the 50 amp, there were no issues. Not sure if it is me, being new or? In all, it was a very positive experience and I look forward to using this app in the future. Thank you Shane for poppin my 🍒 😆

Chris and Jennifer's HipCamp is fabulous!! The view at their Sunset spot is gorgeous! They have done such a great job with a seating area to watch the sun set (even had yummy cookies for us!) and perfect lighting. The stars are on full display at night, and we had a great dear spotting. Chris and Jennifer were super gracious as we maneuvered our Bean teardrop into the spot. They are dog lovers which was great and allowed our dog to be off leash. Highly recommend!!!

Super cool spot close to Olalla Canyon Ridge where the wildflowers are blooming like crazy. Mike was very generous & I loved hanging out at the microbrewery! Nice and easy to find tent spots.

The sites are very large and well kept. Great area to have a dog. We enjoyed the stay and Renee is very hospitable. The tasting room is nice and he even allows dogs in. A storm blew in during the night so we had a lot of wind but that is just Washington weather.

The vineyard site and Renato were lovely. We had a great time wine tasting and chatting with Renato before a quiet nights rest in the vineyard. The toilet was spotless, the nicest portapotty I’ve ever used. We would stay again!

3 nights at Earthlight Camping

Van camping spot with a beautiful view, well worth the drive from the city. End of April was a perfect time to see the wildflowers. We lucked out with sunny skies, but should have taken wind gusts into account—makes for difficult outdoor cooking and campfires. However, when the winds stopped, it was the most peaceful experience.

1 night at Bianchi Vineyards RV Site

Stunning views, a lovely covered area, & flat parking. We weren’t sure what to expect, but were charmed to find we were plugged into a former tasting room that looked towards Mission Ridge. The host was very helpful and quickly responded to our questions. Watching sunset with the fire pit on was a great way to end the day and my toddler loved playing on the lawn the next morning.

We loved our stay at Earthlight! Almost every angle had a beautiful view of the mountains and valleys. We will highly recommend this site to others. We have a very reactive dog and this site was perfect for her. No other noises or animals around (minus the occasional bird or two, which she’s fine with) it was fun watching her truly relaxed for a few days. Great place to disconnect and enjoy the beauty.

This place is truly a hidden gem! The host, Renato, is a wonderful guy — so welcoming and full of knowledge. It’s peaceful, quiet, and the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. My dog, Sebastian, was absolutely thrilled to be there and had such a great time exploring. One of the highlights was going wine tasting with Renato. Hearing his story and learning about his passion for winemaking made the experience even more special. And the wine? Hands down the BEST wine I have ever tried — absolutely exceptional! At night, the stars are mesmerizing, creating a magical atmosphere you don’t often find. The property is well-equipped too, with access to water and a clean portable toilet, making the stay comfortable and easy. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Camp River Run

We had a wonderful weekend tent camping on Mark's land. The property and river were beautiful. The fire pit was perfect for relaxing by the river at night. The on-site porta potty was possibly the cleanest I've ever used. It's a very dog friendly spot with a nicely manicured yard by the river. Mark was super friendly and very responsive. It's a perfect place to base camp out of near the state park and Leavenworth. We'll be going back there again!

I came with a friend and our boys for a father son camping trip. This was the perfect spot because it had privacy, beautiful views, and was close to town if we needed something for our kids. I was pleasantly surprised that the outhouse was cleaner than a porta potty. We had a memorable weekend with our boys and we are grateful to be able to have stayed here.

This is for the adventurous Hipcamper that appreciates the bumpy dirt road. Your Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla won't get you here. Cell service is limited. It is not recommended to arrive after sunset But it is so worth it. Come relax and enjoy the views of the Columbia River and the North Cascades. Plenty of sunshine with epic sunsets, our property is where you come to unwind and soak in the sun when the east side of the Cascades is socked in with clouds and rain. If you want to explore the area, it's about a 10-minute car ride to the Columbia River and 20 minutes to Chelan and all that is offered there. Our favorite activities when we visit are to listen to the birds chirp and take in the surroundings. There are several lava rock piles that speak to the long and volcanic geological history of the area. We also really enjoy walking the dirt road on the ridge. It provides some of the most incredible views in the area. The dirt road section over the ridge can be a little rough and dusty and it's recommended that guests have a medium clearance vehicle, such as a Subaru Outback. However, a guest once drove their Honda Civic down to the site, so it really depends on your comfort level. If in doubt, just ask! We have a security camera on site we use for wildlife sightings and to check the weather. If the idea of having the camera bothers you, feel free to place a blanket or some other type of cover during your stay. We can also turn the camera to only face the entrance. Just let us know. Please respect the surroundings and others' property. There are several other vacation cabins in the area and everyone enjoys their peace and quiet. We provide a privy for guests to use, but be prepared to pack out waste in case it doesn't meet your standards. We try to keep it clean and stocked with TP, but we can only get out to the land every few weeks. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, Sagebrush Hollow is the place for you.

Masabaje Camp

Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the last 7 years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer five listings - a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, retro trailer, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

Please write me with any questions you have. I have a rental cabin (Spring Creek Cabins) in the area too that is closer to Lake Cle Elum. Lots of large groups have reserved multiple or all sites for their large groups and for more privacy. However please keep in mind the place still needs to be cleaned up upon leaving. Private camp area close and easy access to Forest service road 4517 that has ATV, dirt bike and snowmobile trails in amazing Cle Elum's Little Creek and Granite Creek area. Can take ride ORV from campground to Forest road, but no trail riding in campground or surrounding gravel roads. Vehicles must have spark arrestors. Quiet and private for groups to hang out and enjoy the area, hiking, exploring, and enjoying the night sky. We often kayak at Easton State Park or at Cooper Lake and then come back to this private camp area away from the crowds. Huge parking and camping area where 10+ vehicles and RVs can easily drive to and park before heading out on the trail or use as a base camp to enjoy the peaceful mountains around you and explore are area around you. You will enjoy the peaceful hills and unobstructed views of a stary night sky. No electrical or water hookups. This is not a KOA, it's a very private rough campground area with beautiful views. There are no manicured lawns, but lots of rocky areas and often wildlife walking about. Deer and turkeys often are seen and grasshoppers when its warm. Forest Road to campsite often is bumpy with good sized potholes. The internet service via T-Mobile is incredible on 4/18/2024 I was getting the following at the entrance of the camp area: 80 - 181 Mbps Down 5- 10.2 Mbps Up

Earth Biscuits is a private camp ground for the “Inner Earth Biscuit “in all of us. Earth Biscuits is a sanctuary and a place to enjoy nature Located in Skykomish Washington, a small town 15 minutes from the Stevens Pass Ski Resort and the Pacific Crest Trail. We have 53 acres of a southern facing hill side that runs along the Henry M. Jackson, Wild Sky Wilderness within the Mt. Baker National Forest. We have seven sites for camping. All sites have a fire ring, a table of some sort and a barrel of water for dousing your campfire. All sites have a deck for setting up on. We give each party a clean camping toilet and privacy tent. All campers are welcome to hike up to the cliffs for viewing. The road going into the property is flat and level; however, we reclaimed an old logging road and it takes a jeep or 4-wheel drive truck type vehicle (Subaru makes it all day long for some reason) to get past the switchback as it heads up to the cliffs and camping spots 1-3. Bring binoculars. Be advised that it takes an able-bodied person to get to the top as the trail going to the cliffs is rough. We are laying some ropes but count on your own ability, not the ropes. We have not put in electric hook ups, water, sewage disposal, therefore your rig needs to be self-contained. We offer a clean and sanitary camping toilet for each party. Works well and easy to use. If panning for minerals is your thing there are a couple of seasonal creeks. The property is walking distance to 3 local eateries, a laundromat , a tavern, coffee shop, outfitter, fishing guides, convenience store/gas station. Skykomish is a train community and sports a train park which offers free miniature train rides May thru October. Fun for the kids of all ages. Keep in mind that as a train community there will be trains that rumble through the valley at night. If that bothers you bring ear plugs. There are numerous hiking trails in the area as well as several rivers in the area. The Foss, Beckler, Skykomish and several pristine alpine lakes. Biscuits come to the area for a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including skiing, snow shoeing, rafting, mushroom hunting, rock climbing, quad tours, gold panning, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, mountain rescue instruction or just unplugging from the world below and simply chilling. Pets are welcome however the property is located within the town limits of Skykomish and there is a leash law and you don’t want rover to chase wildlife into the mountains or across the highway and be lost forever. It happens. This area is rich with history from “The Olden Days”. The longest train tunnel in the western hemisphere was constructed through/under these mountains in the early 1900s after the nation’s worst train disaster, an avalanche, took 96 souls. Wellington (site of the disaster) is a short drive, is worth seeing and is wheel chair accessible. Two books written about this, both excellent reads. The White Cascade and Vis Major. During the time of tunnel construction between the logging and rail/tunnel workers there were some 20,000 living and prospering in the Skykomish Valley. They were a hearty rough-and-tumble crowd. Thursday through Sunday there is a museum and art gallery in town. His ghost wanders the woods at night. I observed him playing poker recently late at night with the Sasquatch and bear that lives in these woods. The bear lost and was angry and was departing the area hoping to find a tasty human but found a nice nest of grubs instead and so he forgot about his people hunt. Unfortunately, just as my camera was ready to take video of the whole affair my battery went dead. I needed to get out of there anyway as to that point I had not been detected by them. But they are there! We biscuits find that bears are people too and they are just trying to fill their calorie needs and they like cheese burgers and chips of any kind with their beer. Wenatchee is 12 miles away, 35 miles to the Gorge Amphitheater, 30 miles to Leavenworth and 45 miles to Lake Chelan. This is an farming area with cherry orchards 200 feet from the site. It is busy during cherry harvest (4th of July through end of July) with regular chemical sprays being applied by our neighbors from April through September so if you are sensitive to agricultural chemicals this site is not recommended. Also be advised we're on top of a mountain and can get quite breezy at times. Pets are welcome but should be supervised due to predators (primarily coyotes and various birds of prey). And the chickens, I have a friend raising chickens on the upper part of the property where they mostly just make routine chicken noises but there are some roosters that seem to be nocturnal which some folks can find annoying. We also have varying numbers of snakes as the weather warms up some years they are more prevalent than others (contact me if you are concerned for a snake report). On the bright side we don't have any wasps or mosquitoes. This site is available once the snow melts and the mud dries up, typically mid-March until it begins freezing on a regular basis which varies but not much past mid October.

There is a winery in walking distance that offers a beautiful oudoor tasting experience. Winter opportunities include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Nearby the recreational opportunities abound. Alta Lake is a popular tourist area only 2 miles away. 4 miles away is Lake Pateros - home to many popular species of gamefish with massive runs of salmon passing eagerly anticipated each year in summer. We have a small area, but most of it is shaded and right by the river. Learn more about this land: Come camp near the river at a fully-functional whitewater river rafting basecamp!! Our group-style camping area is ideal for small groups of people or couples. We have a total of 4 spots. Spot #1 is our largest spot, suitable for 4 or 5 two-person or three-person tents. Spot #2 is a bit smaller, ideal for up to 3 medium-sized tents. Spots 3 and 4 are suitable for two small to medium-sized tents. Camp spots are next to each other, so there's not a lot of "wild forest camping" here. We refer to it as urban camping. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise in the area, as we are located near Highway 2. There are also picnic tables in the camping area for all campers to use as well as several hammocks.. Access to the river is very nearby. Weekend camping is limited, and you may occasionally hear the sound of a train whistle. WiFi and a fire pit are included, as well as on-site port-a-potties. There is a large communal fire pit, but no individual campfire pits; however, the option is available to bring a propane stand-alone fire pit. Fires are allowed in April, May, and June; the fire ban starts on July 1st due to wildfire concerns. No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control. Our property features potable water, on-site outdoor showers, and a foot-operated hand wash station. Our camping area is somewhat small and does not have grass, but it is graveled. Please be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music at a low to medium volume. Please bring a photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form.
