Our family had such a great time on the river. Even though we got some rain everyday we put our paddle boards in the water from the dock and played. The river is super peaceful and you get to see and hear lots of birds. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves even. Really nice to have the provided Adirondack chairs for around the campfire and watching the river too. Hosts were always very quick to respond and helpful. Road and property clean, well maintained and so was the port-o-potty on site. We even visited their horses to say hello for change of scene one afternoon. Mostly though we relaxed in the camp area and enjoyed the river. Will return for sure.

made some core memories with my nephews swimming in the river, playing in the hammock, and playing hide n seek tag at night :) we love how the fire pit is right by the water, the sites feel so private, and the portpotties are clean! also we got to feed the horses carrots that we brought ::))

Our family had an absolute blast while camping here! Erik and Michelle are super organized, very responsive and overall just wonderful hosts!
The UK RANCH is close to town, yet gives off the peaceful and relaxing vibe being nestled right along the water with privacy between each site. We paddle boarded and fished too.
Firewood was available for purchase when we booked so the bundles were there waiting for us by the pit upon arrival.
Can’t forget to mention the cute mason jar of flowers Michelle left on our picnic table as a warm welcome!!

When you first pull into the ranch there is a huge barn with stalls for horses. We made some equine friends. The camps are down a rough road to the right- our little Mazda made it, but go slow. Each of the 5 lovely spots are directly next to the river. I love that they are spaced far enough apart that you feel like you have space. There is a privacy hedge between them all. I stayed at 5, but they all looked great. 3 and 4 were a bit smaller but still completely doable for a couple tents. 1 & 2 were rented out to a large family gathering and they were having a blast on the rope swing over there. Those spots are perfect for a group. There is a nice community spot in the middle with little kiddos life jackets and some paddles for the couple of community kayaks. I took a jaunt down the river one afternoon and saw some beautiful cranes. Fresh flowers on the table, and little stack of wood greeted us. It was really peaceful to watch the wildlife and listen to the frogs and owls at night. It felt safe and wholesome. Nobody ever came to check in on us, which was kind of nice, everybody just minding their own. It is a working family owned ranch and they were busy with bringing in the hay which we got to see. I wish I’d have gone on a horse ride, but maybe next time. I would definitely go again.

So glad Erik and Michelle have chosen to share this very special place. We reserved all 5 sites for a group camping trip with 10 families. It was perfect and they were super accommodating. I loved all of the little touches, like the flowers on the tables. Site 5 was the largest and where most of the families camped. We used 1 and 2 for our group kitchen and hangout area. Site 5 does have a rope descent to the river, but there was a tree down in the river right there and it wasn't the best access to the water. It's just a few steps to the community site and dock for the best access.

So great. Reserved all 5 sites for a group trip. I didn't stay in 4, but it seemed nice - all of the sites are unique and lovely. The river is perfect for swimming, paddling and floating. The hosts were friendly, responsive and hands-off - we met Michelle when we arrived and then did not hear from them the rest of the weekend.

Love this place. We rented all 5 sites for a group trip with 10 families and it was perfect. Site 3 was the smallest site, but the closest to the river access via the community site and dock. The hosts are super responsive and helpful. The river is gorgeous and great for swimming, kayaking, SUPing or just lazing in a tube. There is very little current.

Such a wonderful spot and the hosts were super accommodating and friendly. We rented all 5 sites for a group trip with 10 families. It was perfect. The kids loved the rope swing and the river was perfect for floating and cooling off. It's was over 100 degrees the weekend we were there and there was plenty of shade to keep cool - having the river right there was a big help too.

As other reviews said, if you stay at the tent site you will hear road noise. I was primed for this, so it didn't bother me. Reg's place was absolutely perfect for a quick spot to car camp before heading back home from exploring Baker. He and his partner Amanda were very communicative and kind. The property is clean and charming and I can tell they both have a lot of pride in it. I will definitely come back, next time to hopefully rent a cabin. Thanks again for opening your special space to others!

The campsite was spacious, giving our kids plenty of room to spread out and play. The river view was beautiful, and we were lucky to have much of the campground to ourselves for the 6 days we were there. Michelle was warm, friendly, and easy to communicate with. The convenience to Portland is hard to beat!

It was another wonderful stay at Bar UK this year (2025) - Michelle is always welcomes us with warmth when we arrive. We had a downpour one night, but enjoyed the rest of stay with mild sunny and cloudy days.

We have camped here multiple times and always leave excited to come back again. Michelle communicates really well. We enjoyed the walk out to the horses and beach this time, as we hadn’t done that before. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our campsite was beautiful and peaceful. There was a hammock set up at our spot, comfy chairs by the fire pit, and a bouquet of flowers on our picnic table when we arrived. We had a bunny rabbit as our neighbor.
Both Michelle and Erik were exceptionally kind in communications and in person. We felt very well taken care of.
My son loves horses which was how I found this spot. We went on a one hour ride one day and a two hour ride the next day. The rides were fantastic. We went through meadows, forest, and even town. We had great horses. We loved that it was easy to visit the horses at other times as well.
Our other favorite thing to do at the site was swim. My son just learned to swim this year and the current was mellow enough that he was safe swimming around without flotation devices. We had a ton of fun swimming off the sandy beach and saw kingfishers, heron, egrets, and bald eagles flying overhead. We found a baby turtle in the sand and saw fish jumping as well.
It was a great trip. We’d definitely return.

This is my family's absolute favorite Hip camp we've ever stayed at.
Sitting just a couple of feet up the riverbank, we have a clear view of a large amount of the river. Bring your kayaks, SUP's, rafts, or floaties. Use their dock to get in the water and float for hours. Paddle upstream or down for beautiful views.
The water is very slow current so it is safe for kids of any age. Right across the river there is a beach area that is county land. I'm great prayers for the little ones to play.
And if you enjoy the leisurely trail ride along parts of the river, make sure you get that set up. The kids love to doing it as well as the adults..
The sites are large, private yet. Easy to talk to your neighbors if you want to. Every time we've come right here, we've made new friends and let our kids play with others. It's always been a wonderful experience staying at Bar UK Ranch

Our group had the best time. Such a sweet spot to hang with friends and enjoy the river on a hot summer weekend! We saw several turtles which was a highlight for both the adults and kids. River was great for kid friendly swimming. We will likely book again when kids are older to partake in the horseback riding. Thanks Erik and Michelle !

Wow!! Number 1 camp site in all of OR/WA!
My family stayed here for a few days and we had an incredible time. It actually rained the first night but that somehow made the whole experience even more magical. The rain beating on the water, the misty sky looming over the river…the smell of fresh grass. Ah!! I could have stayed forever.
There is so much to do here: swimming, rope swings, berry picking, singing to the cows, fishing, paddle board/kayak, hike…endless fun and peace.
What made the whole experience next level? Horseback riding through the forest. Nellie and Shay are expert wranglers and guides. We had a beautiful day riding through this breathtaking property.
The hostess is so kind and generous. We felt very cared for and welcomed the entire time. You can definitely see that she has a ton of passion for sharing this lovely place with everyone.
I could go on and on but this Is one place you have to experience for yourself. We will definitely be back!

Erik’s & Michelle’s camp sites were BEAUTIFUL! We stayed in #1, which offers more privacy, but all 4 sites were gorgeously situated along the river. Michelle brought fresh-picked plumbs (which were delicious), answered our request for more firewood, and was a lovely host. Outhouses were clean, water was tasty, and we even used the paddle boat on the slow & lazy river. We added a 1-hour guided horse ride and our wrangler, Ellie, was gracious and great to ride with! We LOVE this spot and will definitely be back again!!!

Was a wonderful spot, we used the kayaks and the kids jumped off the dock all day. So peaceful, we saw lots of deer, rabbits, heron, eagles, and had a great campfire on the river at night and looked at the stars. Lots of space and privacy.
