It is recommended you check the flight schedule for dates and times the jets will be flying. Depending on the direction they happen to be flying that night, it can get quite loud. In those instances, ear protection is recommended. About a third of summer weekdays the OLF is used. The jets do not fly on weekends and holidays. Having said all of this, most campers enjoy the airshow, as it is a unique opportunity. The camp site is approximately 6 acres located in a quiet secluded forest area near highway 525. A fire pit is provided on non-burn ban days. A flat grassy area is big enough to enjoy your recreation activity of choice. Bring your binoculars and check out all the different kinds of birds. Nearby wetlands provide lots of food for birds, bats, and dragonflies. Other wildlife you may see are deer, bunnies, owls, quail, butterflies, garter snakes, and raccoons. Lots of native flora can be identified with your plant identification app or book. The beach is about a mile away where you can hunt for sea glass and enjoy the waves or build yourself a shelter out of driftwood. We stayed at Natalie’s for three days and it was an amazing, magical place in a quiet neighbourhood. We visited in November and believe me, the foliage season is just the best here. The convenient location near shops, a gas station, and an outlet also adds to the overall experience. The host was amazing and the place was incredible!

We had a nice overnight stay, arriving after dark on short-notice. Host greeted us and helped us park. You camp next to a large garage. Site was mostly level (with what felt like a slight lean away from the garage). Quiet area , with the exception of train horns a few miles away.

We really enjoyed our time at Witt's End. Jake and his wife put a lot of thought and care into the space they created. It was also fun to watch the salmon coming upstream to spawn. Great place for family and friends to get together and catch up. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place.

Weekend Trip to Witt's End Campground

Jacob’s spot is very beautifully setup. Gracious and kind hosts. Nice grassy area and a creek across the street. Note for dog owners - the area is not fenced and there is a vehicle traveled road that is accessible by dogs. We have young and energetic goldens so it just wasn’t the best fit for us but I think it’s a wonderful spot for most.

Great centrally located spot! We visited the fairgrounds in Puyallup and spent some time in Tacoma; both only 15-20 minutes away. The host was great, the spot pretty level, fenced entry easy to get in and out with the code provided.

Lovely spot! Close by state parks, the ferry, trails and the beach. Very private, quiet and lots of fury friends/birds in the area. The porta potty was spotless and has hand washing which was great. Although you’re next to the highway we found it easy to fall asleep and peaceful at night! Plenty of space for any vehicle/set up.

Witt's End is a well maintained and beautifully landscaped piece of property, that you get all to yourself!! And as a bonus...there is a private creek area to enjoy just across the street. My husband and I really felt blessed to spend a few days there relaxing, playing games, or just sitting and watching the creek run by. We highly recommend it and hope to enjoy it again in the future. We were greeted warmly by his parents Rob & Tricia. Tricia is real warrior; she gives me hope and I wish her an abundance of future health and happiness! And although we did not get to meet.
