The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries.

Really enjoyed the cabin in Harper's Ferry. It was peaceful and quiet in the area. The cabin itself was clean, neat, and comfortable. It was lovely sitting in the sun room and reading a book in the comfy chair. My husband walked up to the Appalachian Trail from the cabin! It is a short drive to Harper's Ferry and other areas. I would recommend that anyone to stay here, families, couples, and grandparents. It was lovely.

Casa Vargas was just what we needed. A quiet and peaceful getaway. We camped at the LAKEVIEW spot. Our dogs had a blast playing in the water but likely scared the fish away for me. The night sky was clear and amazing. And Juan was very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend staying here and we’ll likely return. There are plenty of winery’s and breweries close by but this trip we just chose to sit by the lake and relax.

Our time there was nice & peaceful. The cabin was well stocked, comfortable, & warm. The restroom facility was comfortable to use, particularly with the heater in there! The resident black cats were a welcoming addition as well - they love to play and snuggle, and appear to be well fed lol. The access to firewood was great as well, though inventory was low. The owner was very responsive and kind. 10/10 would stay again!

My friend and I stayed for Saturday through Tuesday and couldn’t be more impressed by the camp and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The views are beautiful (sunrise especially), the camp is clean, the bathrooms and showers were better then my dorm hall in college so for camping it was a 10/10, the showers were warm, and the host was quick to respond with any problems we had. Despite being pretty far out in nowhere I had only a little issue finding service. Only note of warning is that the roads need some serious maintenance. The road into camp was rough but my tiny sedan was able to do it but the roads to the campsite section would have been completely inaccessible to most cars with less clearance.
Overall amazing, I fully plan to return next time I’m in the area and have already recommended it to others.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fiddle Head Camp! The property was beautiful, and Jennifer and John were incredibly welcoming. The campsite itself felt remote and was beautiful, while still having some amenities on site. But the real stars of the show were the animals. We loved all of the fur and feather babies on the site. We highly recommend the Snacks and Cuddles experience! The proximity to Old Rag and Bear Church Rock was a huge plus for us. We’d love to stay here again!

Second time staying and it did not disappoint! The space is incredibly private and the views are stunning. There are little “Easter eggs” around the property that make exploring that much more fun. Looking for add to our next stay!

Group trip
Our group of seven really enjoyed staying at the lodge in the middle of winter when the property was covered with snow. We loved hiking around the Rolling Ridge property and trying to identify all of the animal prints on the snow. Hearing and seeing a variety of woodpeckers was a highlight.
The fireplace gathering area was my favorite part of the lodge. It was a wonderful space to visit, make music, and play games. Wifi was easy to use and reliable.
The road and parking area were plowed well for easy access to the lodge.
We plan to return!

I wanted to find a secluded spot to rest & spend some time in nature with my dog Olivia. This cabin was lovely with a large rocky backyard that my dog loved climbing around. The location was ideal with lots of trails & parks within a short drive. The cabin has lots of big windows that help take in the excellent view of the mountains. We spent time on the deck and saw deer crossing through the backyard, and later we saw more crossing the front yard. It was very quiet and peaceful. The shower was awesome too. I used the steam shower a few times but the shower alone is really nice & great for relaxing after a hike on a chilly day! We would love to come back to see the area in the warmer months. We really enjoyed camping at Cherokee Yurt! It is a very short drive from Luray caverns, so we would definitely visit them if we came back. The stars were beautiful at night. The yurt had more than enough space and items (even a waffle maker!). The only complaint we had was that the heat was not turned on when we came, despite the owner saying it would be, and when we did turn it on it only got up to about 50 degrees and took many hours. Admittedly, it was a very cold night--about 18 degrees--and for a glamping site with relatively poor insulation, that isn't entirely unexpected. But we would highly recommend that you temper your expectations if you stay in the winter and maybe bring a few heated blankets.

Jennifer and her partner were warm, friendly, responsive, and kind. Our honeymoon was made absolutely poetic by waking to a snow covered ground and a gingerly cared for goose egg wrapped in the warm wool of Josie. The map provided was detailed and offered many a good adventure. The eggs we gifted to our new landlord who enjoyed, and we are still sipping the camp roasted coffee with memories of sweetness dancing us to peace in this crazy world. Thank you for showing up and offering your gifts and talents to the world that we might share in such sweet community.
