We are close to countless hiking trails, canoeing spots, apple picking orchards, and wineries. You can also try your hand at fly fishing, or take a dip into the cool, spring-fed pond on a warm day! 1 night at North Fork River Retreat

This spot is a gem and the hosts are gracious with many other amenities. I would highly recommend this spot for 1-3 people or 2 people and a dog looking for a waterfront site for a more relaxed camping experience. "More relaxed" because the tent platform makes tent setup easy, and you don't have to worry about issues with the ground, and John and Mary have firewood and a fire pit ready for use. I'll be coming back soon.

This location is pretty amazing. Right in the Blue Ridge Mountains you are surrounded. The camp is easy to find with a beautiful drive in and out with restaurants and eateries near by. Lots to do and I'll be back soon.

This was such a lovely area! I mainly carcamped but the lot was extremely accessible to the sites. The area is somewhat secluded (although actual camp sites are pretty close quarters). I am already planning to go back in the spring!

My friend and I brought our pups up here for a night and can’t recommend it enough. The site is private, close to a few wineries/breweries, and has great views. Be sure to follow the 4WD guidance - we didn’t have to use it but I can see how rain a day or two before could make for an interesting drive up. The leaves this time of year also made it a bit slick. Overall, the campsite was exactly what we were hoping for and we’ll be back if camping in the area again!

Arrived after dark. The signage was not clear but quickly found a spot (open field) and set up camp. Didn’t download directions to Old Rag but found it quickly with directions from the lodge. Dinner buffet style at the lodge was fantastic. Overall a great camping adventure!!!

Weekend Trip to The Bluffs at Cedar Creek

A group of four of us stayed at this campsite over the past weekend and had such a wonderful experience! The entire area was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The porta-potties were pretty clean, and there were a good number of them stationed out by the front. Firewood was delivered to us by Levi's daughter which was a nice touch. When she wasn't around, we could easily grab a crate of firewood ourselves near the front and pay by Venmo or cash. The firepit that we had at our campsite was great, tall and had great air flow holes at the bottom and a metal grate we could use for cooking. The provided picnic table was nice and very wide. The campsite felt peaceful when we were sitting by the fire at night. The river near our campsite had a good amount of activity with people coming to fish for trout (which the owner stocks with plenty) which means we didn't have complete privacy during the day. However, our campsite's overall atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy nature. I would absolutely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing, enjoyable outdoor escape. The location is perfect, only about an hour drive from Centreville, VA which makes the camping experience so much better we didn't have to drive far to experience some wonderful outdoors. Lots of sites to see in the area with hiking so we'll definitely be back to do more activities.

The day of, he messaged us for our ETA and then met us at the front entrance to guide us to our beautiful campsite. We stayed at the Aspen RV site. The prepaid firewood delivery option made it easy, and then being able to purchase more wood at the site ensured we were warm throughout a chilly weekend. Ann and everyone else there are all so so kind and her house/land is beautiful! The animals, especially the cats, were so friendly & loved to be pet. They are adorable! They also have cute ponies, chickens, & ducks. We were able to feed the ponies some apple slices. If you have the chance to visit and stay here you definitely should🐱✨💝 we will be coming back asap
