So we went in the spring when it was very green outside. It was very beautiful in the woods, you just can’t really see the mountains like I’m guessing you can in the fall! We will definitely have to take another trip here then! Like it says you NEED a 4WD or AWD Truck or SUV. The road getting there was pretty rocky and steep. It’s a perfect little spot in the mountains though!

Excellent little camping spot within a reasonable drive to the Shenandoah. We loved the quietness of this Hipcamp, as well as how easy it was to find! My dogs thoroughly enjoyed their time, and even got to discover what a wild turkey roaming through the mountains sounds like! Like the host states in the about section, make sure you have a 4x4 with some clearance to get up the road. We will definitely be back!

The site was clean and the firepower was established. Plenty of room for our tent and car and we had a great view. The directions were easy to follow and we had no issues accessing the road with 4WD.

We camped in our Tacoma and when they say you need AWD, take it seriously! We had fun getting up the road and are very thankful we didn’t take the Outback. Our dog loved relaxing and enjoying the overlook and so did we. :)

V's land was the perfect spot for our quick trip to Shenandoah! His instructions for getting there and what kind of vehicle needed were spot on and he was very communicative whenever I reached out. There was some firewood on site but I am not sure if it was left by last campers or him. We brought our own and used it as it recently rained when we camped. Beautiful fireplace and plenty of room to set up our tent, even though half of the area was a bit muddy from recent rain. It has a beautiful view of the sunrise in the morning and we were fortunate enough to wake up to snow our last morning there! Will definitely come back to this site if I get back to the area!

My friend and I brought our pups up here for a night and can’t recommend it enough. The site is private, close to a few wineries/breweries, and has great views. Be sure to follow the 4WD guidance - we didn’t have to use it but I can see how rain a day or two before could make for an interesting drive up. The leaves this time of year also made it a bit slick. Overall, the campsite was exactly what we were hoping for and we’ll be back if camping in the area again!

One of the best camp sites I have ever been to! VERY family friendly. Exceptionally well maintained. Host was very responsive and provided clear directions on how to get to the site. Rocks denoted the location for the campfire. Great path to go for a hike in the morning. Close to the town to pick up graham crackers or whatever else you forgot before camping. However still felt very secluded. Could not say enough good things.

It was so nice being tucked away from society but close enough to a grocery store. There was still a little phone service for AT&T. Fire pit worked beautifully. We were able to fit our Wawona 6 tent and 4Runner and still have plenty of space to walk around. The need for 4WD up to the site is true.

Perfect little camping spot — quiet and secluded. Will be coming back. Having the right car is a must especially after a rain — not a mud issue but rocks move around and change the line a bit making it a little tougher to maneuver up the hill but we were fine in a Forester.

Very quiet and private campsite. Definitely make sure u have an AWD SUV, as indicated on the posting. Feels very secluded but only ~10 min into town in case you need to grab something and close to the national park. Definitely recommend!

Stayed here during a 2 day trip at the NP and we had a great time. The drive to the spot is alittle tricky but as long as you have AWD you should be okay. The place is taken care of and secluded so it’s perfect for a little get away. Would be staying again if we are ever around the area.

Nice secluded spot. Local town nearby if any supplies needed and a new local farm brewery nearby. Definitely pay attention to the caution for the road. It was rocky and took some trying to get over a washed out area in my Subaru but all went well. I would definitely go back.

Amazing spot if you are looking to be secluded. Area stays shady pretty much all day, making it great for post hike recovery. Highly recommend for a base camp if you are looking to do other things in the area.

Loved this spot so much! Brett was super nice and accommodating. This spot was really special and really helped me unplug and relax. I did spot a black bear not far from the site (which is cool and also I was scared as I was camping solo.) Brett made sure to accommodate me after I left early bc I knew I would be up all night. It was really magical being up there and waking up to the nature sounds was truly remarkable. Will absolutely be staying here again!!! Super happy with my stay and was just what I needed.
