I live on the land where there is 3 acers and some woods to burn fire also a nice big swimming pool and goats and chickens to pet and feed.
A small, shed cottage turned into a room with a full-sized bed and mini fridge with a microwave, toaster, and coffee machine, a table with chairs to eat at. Ac for the summer and a heater for the cooler days. I am still adding on and bringing new things to the cottage. I will have complimentary drinks and snacks on your arrival.
Portions of the historic Three Chopt Trail, a Native American trail, run through a large portion of the county. The trail was marked by three hatchet chops in trees to show the way. The modern-day U.S. Route 250 roughly follows this route from Richmond to Charlottesville.

Hi, I have 3 acres of land I do live on my land. I have a goats and chickens you can walk up and see. Along the woods are blackberries in the months of June and July your more than welcome to pick.
There's also a park down the road 8 mins called Leakes Mill Park it's 176 acres for bike trails with a playground and soccer field. And if you're looking for a park with playground and a dog run and a baseball field and walking trails that one is about 15 minutes down the road and it's called Hidden Rock Park.

The house was so cute a cozy. It is a real house with electricity, internet, TV, dvd player, and Netflix, a full kitchen, and the bathroom is right beside the upstairs bedroom. The view from the bed in the morning was a beautiful huge tree in the field. Down the hill is a very large pond. I can see a float and canoes that would be great in the summer. There is a huge pavilion beside the lake with couches, a long table, chairs, a grill, and a refrigerator. There are two outside RV toilet stalls at the lake too. When I drove in I saw horses in a field and a little donkey running around, playing in a a pen. I stopped and watched. Close to the house they have goats in a pen and they wanted me to pat them. The owner, Maria, told me I could. She also has a pig and chickens. I enjoyed the solitude but this place would be wonderful for a family outing or corporate retreat. I forgot a few things, so Maria directed me to a nearby Walmart in Tappahannock. I highly recommend a stay at Maria's farm.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Hipcamp spot last week! It was the perfect retreat—so cute and cozy, and truly had all the amenities a weary traveler could possibly need.
I was especially impressed by how conscientious and thoughtful the host was throughout our stay. For instance, the space was efficiently designed with plenty of hooks for hanging items, which is essential in a small space. We were also very grateful that she provided snacks and small bites to eat after our long drive, and she was incredibly communicative and fast at responding to any questions we had.
As a pet owner, I was also appreciative that the space was pet-friendly, allowing my dog, Biscuit, to join us on the trip. I sincerely hope to stay again sometime soon, perhaps when the weather is a bit nicer! Highly recommend this wonderful spot.

Weekend Trip to Hawthorn Hollar
A wonderful little slice of heaven, with amazing hosts! We had the best stay in the little cabin, which had everything one might want for a nature-filled and quiet weekend getaway! Julie made sure we had everything we needed, but also left us to enjoy everything the site had to offer! 10/10, would highly recommend!

This place was absolutely beautiful. The owner and the property are welcoming in thier respective areas. The pond is beautiful, the animals are beautiful, and the site has more than enough. Bring pillows and blankets, pots and pans, but other than that, you are good to go. Wonderful stay here.

Absolutely loved our time with Moon and Julie they were such amazing hosts. The place is perfect for what we wanted - to escape and switch off. Our daughters loved running free, playing with the dogs and catching fish. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back.

We had an overall great experience. My family and I very much enjoyed our time there. We had a blast canoeing in the pond, chopping wood, tending to the fire, and walking around the farm. Kevin, the host was a great guy. They run a good camp ground. I would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Sunrise by the Pond
Kevin is great, and the whole area is wonderful. The tent is very clean and the campsite is large and accommodating. I was able to kayak on the pond and loved it. I enjoyed spending time with some of the goats and horses, and had an all-around lovely time. I will return!

We had an amazing time camping in the Enchanted Hidden Cabin! The view was absolutely fantastic, and the cabin itself was perfectly clean. Moon and Julie are such wonderful hosts. So pleasant, kind, and clear with all their instructions. My dog had the best time running around the large field and playing happily with their lovely dogs named Ava and Ruby. My whole family had a fantastic experience. The Gnome Trail was just the cutest! We’re already sure we’ll be coming back!

Kevin’s land was such a gem! The tent was cozy, spotless, and ready to settle right into. There was plenty of firewood—by the end of the weekend I felt like a true lumberjack. Canoeing on the beautiful pond and watching the farm animals was an absolute dream, and our dog had the best time exploring the property. The site feels wonderfully remote and peaceful, but it’s still close enough to a store if you need to grab any essentials. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a mix of nature, comfort, and charm!

It’s always appreciated when the host provides necessities, and this site had fire wood, water, trash can, seating, and a lantern. It was lovely to see the animals and be on the beautiful property. Definitely recommend for some tranquility. It was a pleasure to meet the hosts and I’m so glad our dogs got along well. Truly memorable and special.

Lovely spot and experience for my 4 year old. We felt very safe. The dog was able to roam off leash no problem. The area where you camp is private, large, has a gas grill that worked well (no grill tongs etc) a porta potty (very clean), 5 gallon tub of water, trash can, fire pit with wood, kayaks, canoes and there is enough room to play lawn games. It is private and a bit detached from the main farm but a very short walk (~1 min) up a dirt/gravel road to where the animals are. The farm hands and owner are super friendly and very kind, letting my son help some with the day to day farm work. Well worth the overnight trip and experience for my son. Thank you!
