The property is beautiful, the horses were running in the pasture near the RV site right after I arrived, which is always beautiful to see. The host is very responsive to my short notice given. There was a nice fire pit for guests, which I didn't use but it was nice. I would there stay again.

I was having trouble finding a campground in the area, then I remembered to check Hipcamp—and I struck gold. I found Kyle’s RV spot, located in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of space and great accommodations. It has a private entry and exit, and it’s conveniently close to shopping and the freeway. Kyle was extremely helpful and a great host. A+ experience—definitely check him out. I’ll absolutely be back.

Weekend Trip to Anvil Campground

Anvil is a smaller but very friendly campground that had everything we needed. The site was level and the hookups were easy to manage. Though we didn’t get a chance to use the bathrooms they looked really nice. It’s also close to all the attractions in Williamsburg and really enjoyed taking our dogs to walk the colonial area. We’d stay here again for sure! (Yes, there’s a train that’s really close but it didn’t put a damper on our fun)

Well I honestly didn’t stay because we had issues with our camper. I am new to camping and didn’t think I could back in with only my daughter with me. We had a terrible time getting it loaded and arrived after dark. I don’t see well. Someone had also parked their truck very close and at an angle to our spot (which was actually pretty big!) anyways I circled back around but the opening in that direction and from that angle meant I clipped their fence post. The fence tumbled down and I decided if I couldn’t drive straight, I definitely couldn’t back into the spot. So we left. The staff were really nice and they were reasonable with the repairs. Family liked the area. So once I figure out how to drive, we will come back.

3 nights at Carolzy’s Secret Gardens

There are not enough wonderful things I could say about Carol, her beautiful property, and her wonderful animals. This was my first HipCamp experience, as well as staying in my camper van, and she has set the bar high! What I didn't expect though was being able to create art and her studio! She has the biggest studio packed to the brim with all things Artist love, every corner had something new! I got to sit down in it and work on a few last minute items before a show while we talked the night away about everything and anything. It was such a pleasant trip, and I know if I'm ever back this way I will not even consider another spot to stay. Thank you SO MUCH Carol! ❤️❤️❤️

nice and quiet place to stay for the night, the backyard and woodsy area is gorgeous and was fun to explore with our pup! carol was incredible and accommodating!

Site is beside house at the end of a nice quiet street surrounded by miles of forest. No complaints. Carol is a great host.

Weekend Trip to Carolzy’s Secret Gardens

Carol and her place are a joy! She is very kind and her chickens are friendly and hilarious. Lots of stars! Definitely recommend!
