One loft bedroom, huge bathroom with a walk in shower and a soaking bathtub, while looking at a gorgeous creek, 20 ft away. A hot tub sits on the rear ground level deck. Kitchen with two coffee makers, microwave, full size refridge stovetop, air fryer, toaster oven and a kettle. This yurt is great for a couple or a couple with a small child, I provide a blowup mattress, twin size with linens.. The yurt faces the creek, and a rock wall on the other side making this property very private except for our cabin on the same property. It is fenced with split rail fencing and has a solar powered gate, with a gate fob provided. We are dog friendly, with a $25 pet fee per stay. This is a safe, beautiful area to visit nearby Floyd, a nearby kayak rental shuttle service, breweries, a meadery 2 miles away, and many other unique finds. Beautiful Mountain View’s and backwoods drive. A unique wool farm is just down the dirt road with a cash only roadside stand.

Miss Angels Farm is a 55 acre family farm and orchard in Mt Airy, NC. We have peach trees, apple trees, various seasonal crops, flower fields, and a rose garden, and host events and festivals throughout the growing season. We're a 15 drive from downtown Mayberry, right off of highway 89 and close to highways 77 and 74. We have camping spots available along the Beaver Dam Creek at the edge of our property line, with places to grill food and toilets, water sources, a playground, and a bonfire ring closer to our pavilion at the center of the farm, where you can also get some love from our very friendly barn cats, and see our pet ducks, peacocks, and tortoises (named Cheech and Chong). We accidentally went past the campground (it’s well marked and the location pin was perfect) but were treated with seeing deer cross the creek so that was a bonus. It’s close to the road but at night there’s little to no traffic and we didn’t really hear much going by. Very peaceful and it sounds like it’s going to have some nice additions in the future.

Our trip back home from GA to WV had a lot of traffic delays and the weather was turning much colder than expected, so we decided to power through and drive straight home. But since this was right on the way home, we decided to stop and check out the site. It's a beautiful spot with trees on three sides, so there's less wind. The site is primitive but well maintained with two nice picnic benches and a good fire pit. Communication was great. We will be back!

Where to go
Claytor Lake State Park
Sweat on the trails, and then cool off with a swim in Claytor Lake. Reservations are required for tent camping, yurt, waterview cabin, and bunkhouse rentals by the lake, and they’re worth it—electric hookups and picnic areas are available at most on-site campgrounds. Check out private boat rentals at the marina for outings on the water. Anglers can also enjoy the fishing pier, while campers seeking scenery can hike Lakeview Trail for an easy walk by the lake.
Fairy Stone State Park
Known for the rare, tiny “fairy stones'' that fill the red sand, Fairy Stone State Park offers a beautiful destination for hiking, horseback riding, paddleboating, and swimming in the 168-acre lake. Tent camping, equestrian camping, and climate-controlled cabin or yurt rentals allow campers to stay overnight in the park, but cabins don’t include linens. Most campsites include fire rings and electric and water hookups. For a unique souvenir, walk to the Fairy Stone Pit Stop and hunt for fairy stones—each visitor is allowed to collect a few to take home.
Stone Mountain State Park
Just over the North Carolina border lies Stone Mountain State Park, home to the 600-foot national landmark that gives the area its name. Wander along hiking trails for waterfall views, fish for trout in streams, or go horseback riding on one of Stone Mountain’s many bridle trails. Electric and water hookups and a dump station make this park RV-friendly. Group and individual tent camping sites also offer showers and firewood.

Fall is the most popular time to camp near Fancy Gap, when bright colors decorate the forests and campers can relax in cool weather. In summer, temperatures average around 80°F. Campers can beat the humidity with a campground near the water for swimming, boating, and fishing.
