Peace and quiet equals “Solitude at my farm. I’m just like you. I want to camp at a quiet place in the country where it’s plenty of acres and no houses to look at and a clean bathroom and shower. Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

We bought the property in search of gold. After exploring the land after we bought it, we discovered a 200ft ship from 1906 buried 4ft under the ground. We are inviting people to come enjoy this experience with us as we excavate the ship, to learn history, and to learn unique outdoor activities. There are so many treasures still left to be found.

This is a small chicken farm on over 2 acres of land. You will use the front
yard to set up with picnic area and firepit. The animals on the farm are a dog, chickens and ducks. Traveling south about a mile down the road you will come to water for boating, fishing, a bird sanctuary and a kayak launch. Going north about another mile you will come to a Kingdom of Jehovah's Witnesses where the public is welcome to attend on Sunday morning at 10 and on Thursday evening at 7.

Casey’s property is perfect for a long or short term stay! I felt like I had everything I needed and it was very nice to be greeted. Great communication and Casey is lovely overall. So nice waking up and being able to say hello to their farm animals and go for a nice walk. Would 100% stay here again with my bus and doggy :)

This was a great place to camp. Looked like it has some good amenities but wasn't able to take part because I arrived late and left early. The campsite was clean, private and peaceful. The host was very informative and had good communication. I'd like to come back again.

This was such a cool skoolie! I surprised my son with an "adventure" on our way home from FL. This was a hit! Cozy. Nice land. I saw a family of 11 deer! And my little dog loved the nature walk. Nice warm bathroom at the house. Private, clean and warm.
I think we loved the little wood-burning stove the best! My son (22) slept in the bedroom which was like a quiet cocoon. I slept on the pullout couch which was way bigger than I expected and mostly comfortable. Everything was easy to use, especially with the handy "welcome" booklet. I would definitely stay again.

This is a rustic little spot about 15 minutes off Rt. 460 in central VA. No amenities, so bring everything you will need, but Merritt was responsive and quite hospitable. The land is privately located among a small hardwood tree grove, but has nice pond views to one side and fields on 2 other sides. Merritt and his wife are lovely people and fascinating to talk to.

Lacie and her family were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The tent campsites felt super private, the land is beautiful. They provided us with treats to feed the horses, they keep fishing and cooking equipment in their barn for you to use. They even hooked us up with some cooking oil when we forgot ours. Only minutes from town but you feel like you're worlds away out there. They sent us off with a fresh dozen eggs and smiles. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be back.

Super friendly family that clearly care about their animals and property.
We took a short hike around the pond, which was perfect after a day of traveling.
We bought some very fresh and delicious eggs. Will definitely use this as a stop-over when passing through again. 🙂

Great location! Set-up was super easy and we loved being surrounded by all the animals and the vintage buses. The hosts were very welcoming without invading our personal space. Christopher was very responsive to every message, and he showed us around the property when we arrived. He even had his own farm fresh eggs and honey for sale. The campsite was on a well-mowed area, tucked into a corner by the forest. We really enjoyed walking on the path along the edge of the woods and through the pollinator meadow. I photographed at least eight butterfly species on the wildflowers, and saw a few more than that.
