Tiny house on seven acre pond
The tiny house was more spacious than I expected, with a double bed and a single bed. The AC was strong (which was perfect since we visited during a heatwave). Overall the tiny house was clean. Towels were provided, but we opted to bring our own as well. We didn't use the kitchen, but there were some basic amenities provided like a sink, stove, microwave, and mini-fridge. The drive from the entrance of the Hipcamp to the tiny house is ~1-2miles of gravel road and is stunningly beautiful. We saw a few deer running around! I'd suggest driving slowing to take in the scene around you, and in case any deer happen to run across the road. There's plenty of signage along the road so we knew exactly where to go. The house is only 20 mins away from downtown Raleigh and it was so nice to have the option of hanging out by the lake all day or going into town. Overall we loved our stay there.

20 foot Yurt in Raleigh/4
Our family+ our beagle had an amazing stay in yurt 4. It really puts the glam in glamping - so much nicer and more comfortable than I imagined! Clean and well equipped, and the bathroom trailers nearby were nice, too. Having a private dock right out the backyard was great, and it was big enough that the 2 other families we were with (in yurts 2 and 3) could all hang out on our dock. The kids had a blast floating on tubes and using the boats. Only minor feedback: bathrooms could use hand soap, and our yurt didn't have paper plates. We had a great trip, and I'm sure we'll be back.

20 foot Yurt in Raleigh/2
Long Weekend
We’ve stayed in quite a few yurts over the years and this one by far was the greatest one we’ve stayed in. We came to Raleigh for a concert, but we always travel with our dogs so we were grateful to find a place that we could bring them with us. We loved walking the property, and saying hello to the cows.

20 foot Yurt in Raleigh/2
The AC in the Yurt was critical for our August stay and worked very well. Bathrooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and we enjoyed walking the trail around the lake! We loved spending our mornings at one of the gazebos. The property was lovely and we were tbe only ones there for the majority of our stay which was cool. The lake smelled though and we didn't attempt swimming in it. Otherwise we loved our stay!

We're Ruined for Tent-Camping
We loved Yurt 5 @ Lakeside Retreats -- it was me, my husband, our 8 year old son, and our dog. We had plenty of space in the yurt for all of us. We are used to tent-camping without power. We think the yurt has ruined us for tent-camping! We enjoyed having some access to amenities (toaster/microwave/mini fridge) + the A/C, but being remote and mostly cut-off from the outside world. However, our son loved the wifi access so that he could play on his devices while we slept in. The deck on the water with the firepit was wonderful and we spent most of our time there. We also enjoyed the boats & spent a good amount of time fishing. We are looking foward to coming back.
