Riverfront camping at its finest . Bateau boats pass by all 3 campsites on the third Thursday ofJune. This is due to a yearly Festival held in Scottsville where Historic river boats that used to haul goods up and down the river back in the day are maned by people in period clothing re-enacting the route that was taken. Smallmouth and catfish are biting Go by a local store and buy night crawlers worms and a pack of 2/0 hooks and you will catch something . You can now buy river tubes from the host. We will pump them up and deliver to your site. Fire wood also available delivered. 30.00 for UTV LOAD. Accessible by car or canoe, East End at Seven Islands provides endless fun for the whole family, including your well behaved off-leash dogs. When you arrive take a cooling dip in a quiet “river pool”, relax on your private beach, or see if the fish are biting. Let your kids experience the best the river has to offer by exploring the shallows for crayfish, chasing minnows, or watching for Bald Eagles patrolling the river. Pitch your tent on the beach or under the trees if you prefer some shade. Spend your nights stargazing, enjoying a campfire (remember to bring s’mores ingredients), or fishing for catfish. This is an ideal family-oriented campsite about an hour NW of Richmond. Come, enjoy and make some memories! Children 10 and under are free. The real estate sign at the entrance is for the farm house only. Camp sites are not for sale and won’t be. Future bookings are no problem Safety Notice: Not accessible by boat, canoe, or kayak when the James River level is 6 feet or higher at Scottsville. At 7.5 - 8 feet, there is not much beach to play on and the river is too dangerous to navigate. You can drive in and camp, but please stay clear of all water activities, including fishing, in these dangerous conditions.

Well marked, large and private sites. The river rose while I was there but there was plenty of room to move around. This a great place to come for some peace and quiet.

Another great stay here. Thank you!
Once again, my wife and I and our bernedoodle had a wonderful stay here. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. We have a 32’ bumper pull trailer and it’s always easy to get in here. Michael and his wife are great hosts, and they keep the road well maintained with gravel. We got probably a half an inch of rain in a thunderstorms this last trip, and there was no problem. The field drains well, helped by the fact that the soil is fairly sandy, but also the grass holds it well. It’s our favorite place to camp.

Hidden gem on the James.
This place is a hidden gem. Plenty of space, easy access, friendly, thoughtful owner, and easy river access. Perfect winter camping spot to unhook from the stresses of the work week. We’ve had a wet winter so there was some minor flooding of the area the week before, but Mike and his wife had the road in top shape for our arrival, with fresh gravel down. The site was huge, and the ground was dry so no problems getting in or out with our 32’ trailer. The nearby town of Scottsville was an unexpected delight as well with great food and eclectic little shops. We’ll definitely be back!
